1910 pair of Austrian plates

Decorated in the style of the Royal Vienna Porcelain Factory.  The beautiful figural scene in transfer was copied from the original work of Angelica Kauffmann (a Swiss Neoclassical painter, 1741-1807, who painted in the Rococo style and whose works have been widely reproduced.  The blue overglaze mark, c.1890-1918, is believed to be that of Josef Riedl, a decorating studio in Giesshubel, Bohemia (now known as Struzna, Czechia) (Source: Marks on German, Bohemian, and Austrian Porcelain by Rontgen, pages 408 and 188) (Another great source for this topic is Ginni's Collectors Circle & Bohemian Boutique, Collectors Circle. wonderful pair of plates with Aglaia, one of the 3 graces in Greek mythology and Juno, queen of the gods in Roman mythology.
