1920’s Antique Tapestry Clutch Bag

This is a vintage tapestry bag or a clutch made from a fragment of an antique French Aubusson or Gobelin style tapestry. The tapestry features a dense, multi-colored floral design with foliage. The material is likely a blend of wool and silk. The bag has a metal frame closure, possibly brass or gold-toned. The fabric fragment used may have originally been intended as a chair or cushion cover. Inside is intact but signs of age. Outside is in very nice condition. 11” x 8”
