...vintage vanity pocket handbag mirror pill box An elegant Octagonal Baby blue guilloche enamel powder compact and mirror, in a gilt washed metal base, the inside in a gilt tone too. It features a lidded powder well, as well as a rouge / lip tint / perfume tablet holder underneath the polished steel mirror. Many parts have been engine engraved and the roses on the lid are hand painted underneath the clear varnish layer. It has been unmarked for a maker, materials or country. Condition: With a few scratches to the baby blue enamel lid. The outside and the edges of the compact with wear to the gilt finish, showing the silvery underlayer. The inside powder well in good shape, the lid closes but not very securely. The steel cut mirror with some rust to the hinge area. Size: 2 5/8" diameter between flat edges (6.8 cm), ca 3/8" thick (1.2 cm)
