1930s Hammered Pewter lidded jug, vintage metal decorative arts and crafts hot

...water pitcher A decorative hand hammered pewter lidded jug, marked STAVES Limited, Bound to Serve. It has an elegant waisted shape with a black pressed handle and little (bog oak?) black finial on the lid. I have not been able to find the company history, estimated date on this item is ca 1910-1930s Condition: With some marks of age and use, including some discoloration to the metal on the inside, and a slight on the outside of the piece, including some scuffing and wear on rims and ridges. The top finial sits a little askew and has a little crack in the top. The black handle has a minute bit of play to it. No dings or dents! Size: ca 7 inches tall (18 cm)
