...collectible game department historic find
An aluminium metal sleeve from 1938, issued in B.C., Canada to carry a fishing license. This type of case was introduced in 1932 and used until 1940 and was used to carry an Ordinary Firearms Licence (OFL), a general firearms licence (GFL), special firearms licence (SFL), free firearms licence (FFL) or Farmers firearms licence after 1914, a prospector's licence (PFL), Extra-General firearms licence (X-GFL), Extra-Special Firearms License (X-SFL) and the Residents Angler´s Licence (RAL). This one carries the paper license issued in 1947.
A neat little find and a nice addition to a collection. Could be used to carry love letters or other small notes or objects. There are holes in the sides so if you plan to carry really small items make sure to use a liner or little ziplock baggy. In decent vintage condition with plenty of marks, light denting and discoloration spots (see images)
Size: 2 x 1-3/4 x 1/4 inches (5.2 x 4.5 x 0.5 cm)
