Vintage Gladstone 5943 Floral Teacup and Saucer Set Bone China Made in England Gorgeous florals in yellow, white, green and black decorate this glossy fluted teacup and saucer. This bone china set is stamped pattern number 5943 produced by Gladstone, made in England. The manufacturers were Thomas Poole and Gladstone; who were part of the Longton, England group which made up the famous Staffordshire potteries. The back stamp on this set was in use pre WWII from 1939-1941 as the Gladstone factory was closed during the war. The set is in excellent condition; no cracks, repairs, etc. however there is one small chip along the lip seen in photos Measurements: Cup: 2 5/8” inches height x 3 5/8” inches diameter x 4 5/8” inches length including handle Saucer: 5 5/8” inches diameter Vintage china often has small manufacturing flaws and/or signs of use; these do not affect the integrity of the item but is something to be mindful of when purchasing.
