1940s Sheffield Reproduction Tray Silverplated - Embossed Grapevine Border & Engraved Floral Center and Ornate Handles - 22.5 x 13.5 In Here is a lovely, large, vintage (1940s) silverplate tray from Sheffield Reproduction in England. My father won it in a curling bonspiel in the very early 1950s. So, it has only had one home all this time! It features an embossed Grapevine Border and Engraved Floral Center. The handles are ornate and it measures 22.5 x 13.5 Inches (length includes handles). It is .75 inches deep but 1.25 inches high at handles. Weight is 2.05 kg. There are no dents, but there are scratches, considering its age. Sheffield plate is a layered combination of silver and copper that was used for many years to produce a wide range of household articles.
