1948 ALEXEJ TOLSTOJ THE GOLDEN KEY OR THE ADVENTURES OF BURATINO German edition This is a German edition of the children's book The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Buratino, written by Alexey Tolstoy. The story is a loose retelling of Carlo Collodi's The Adventures of Pinocchio, originally published in 1936. It follows the adventures of Buratino, a wooden boy who embarks on a journey to find the golden key and defeat the villain Karabas Barabas. The book is a classic in former Soviet countries and is often more popular there than the original Pinocchio story. Condition notes: some discolouration on the cover, some wear on the cover and a bend in one corner as well as a warp on the cover, yellowing at the edges of the pages and I found one small tear on a page, all shown in the photos.
