Rare Boucher 3 Strand Jet-Black Crystal Vintage Necklace

Vintage Marcel Boucher black crystal necklace from the Mid-century modern era.
Silver-toned metal, opaque black crystal and clasp with clear rhinestones.
In very good pre-loved condition.
Note there are about 8 rhinestones missing from the clasp. Please see photos. The rhinestones are small, so is hard to notice.
The three strands of opaque black crystals are graduated-sized round faceted.
Shortest strand measure 15 inches plus clasp makes 17 inches.
Longest strand is 18 inches
The clasp section has two clear rhinestone-set multi-loop motifs connected with a rhinestone-set fold-over clasp.
There are two copyright symbol BOUCHER markings on the main clasp. Boucher on one side and 19 on the other.
Marcel Boucher was born in France and came to New York City in the early 1920's where he apprenticed with Cartier. He later worked for Mazer Bros. jewelry and eventually went on to found his own firm in 1937. His designs are always desirable and beautiful and have stood the testthe Boucher firm continued to produce high-fashion jewelry until it was sold to Davorn Industries in 1970..
