1950s Emba Jasmine Natural White Mink Wedding Stole

Original 1950s white mink shawl made up of 6 fully stranded pelts with each of the triple layers individually backed to form a compact shoulder capelet. The cape is fully lined in a very fine quality off-white embossed jacquard silk fabric with a rose print pattern. The label is hand stitched inside and reads, ‘Genuine Emba Jasmine Strand Natural White Mutation Mink’. The capelet closes with two fur hooks at the top of the capelet. Each of the layers of fur is also fully backed with this wonderful quality jacquard silk. I've never seen a jacket layered in this way which gives it a beautiful, tiered effect. Condition wise, this is as good as it gets for a jacket dating from this period. The mink is a wonderful rich cream colour, not white, as white mink suggests. These are top quality pelts with no fur shedding. The shawl is suitable for sizes XS to Small as it is quite a petite. We believe it is thus best suited for UK sizes 8 and below or US 4 and below. Larger sizes could wear this, but it would progressively rise up. We advise that fur looks best worn generously. Wonderful quality from a bygone era and if stored correctly, will last for many years to come.
