1950s Pure virgin wool Brigus Knitting Mills black fully-fashioned blazer! So, this blazer could potentially be from the early 1960s, but due to the European influences and slow adoption of fashion on the island, this is made from patterns of 1950s blazers. Brigus Knitting Mills was part of Newfoundland's first premier's (Joey Smallwood) initiative to industrialize Newfoundland to keep up with the modernization of our new confederation with Canada. Unfortunately, many of the businesses and factories that Smallwood helped build at the time did not stay open for very long, but some beautiful fully-fashioned pieces such as this blazer still remain! It is made of pure virgin wool imported from Austria! It features a band collar and a unique thriple button pattern, with cuffed sleeves!
