Colorful patchwork quilt with orange, pink, and black patterns. Perfect for adding a pop of color to any room. This is one of the most insane pieces I have ever run up on in my career. This was hand edged, machine quilted and is in pristine condition. There is a poly netting on the backside to keep it structured which is indicative of the time period it was created. You would typically use a slub like this for over top of a light downe duvet, or on a guest bed you don’t use often. However in modern use, this would be amazing as a couch cover to add comfort, or amazing in a cabin for warmth. This would be ideal for back east folk who see cold temps and need an extra layer in the winter. This doesn’t even look like it was ever used. The materials used are incredible. Being a textile dealer for so long, I can say there’s a few on here I’ve never seen. The patterns this person chose are just fire. If you took this apart, the fabric alone for clothes making is just remarkable. The cotton is soft like it was pre washed before quilting, which is pro level lol — this pattern was later picked up by Nanette Lepore, and silk material was then produced from it. Pretty wild!
Iconic collectors piece.
