This is a very very special and unique piece of history. This was made in 1963, in Montreal. It was preserved by a client who I have taken on, and she said she paid about $400 for it originally in a vendor booth from the original maker. $400 back in 1963 is A-LOT of money! But I would think fair considering this was loomed by hand on a long loom. I can’t imagine how long this took. It’s a cotton rayon blend and due to the style is overwhelming heavy. So it would make an amazing weighed blanket. It’s stunning peaches and blues are just remarkable. So soft and beautiful. Fabulous condition for its age, in ready to enjoy condition. Price includes the extra shipping it will need due to the weight. This would be ideal for oversized queen, or it could be used as a king coverlet as a topper and then it leaves room for decor pillows. It is almost impossible to find vintage textiles this large, and there’s a very high demand for anything that will fit a king so that is shown in the cost.
