1965 Companion Library The Prince and the Pauper The Wizard of Oz Book 2-in-1 is one book with two classic stories. First there is The Prince and the Pauper, which was originally written in 1881 - side note, the book was written by Mark Twain, who was an American, but his book, The Prince and the Pauper was first published in Canada! The story is about a poor boy who accidentally switches lives with a Prince. Each struggle in their new environments. When you flip the book, on the other side is the story of The Wizard of Oz, which was originally written in the 1900s. The second story is about a girl who gets taken out of Kansas by a tornado and into an unknown world of talking lions, green witches, and ruby red slippers. Both stories have never gone out of style and each have black and white illustrations. This Companion Library book is the 1965 edition and is a 2-in-1 book. The book does have natural wear and tear, with a little bit more wear on The Wizard of Oz side of the book (See photos). There is a pen mark on the inside of The Wizard of Oz side of the book, a minor tear at the bottom of one of the pages, and some aging (See photos). The spine of this 60 year old book is strong, and overall the book has survived nicely through six decades of storytelling.
