1970s Sig Plach raw silk oversized bamboo print dress. This came from an estate that had a very similar dress made from a Shaheen fabric! Don't you just love this pattern and placement?
Sig Plach was a well known courtier and fabric maker in Edmonton 💛 The cut and design on this dress are just beautiful. The pleating at the bust is unique and a great addition. As you can see, this dress is too small for my mannequin as it has a small bust, however it has a slight waterfall on the back, common for Hawaiian and Polynesian dresses.
Lined.
Does up with a zipper down the back.
Era: 1970s
Label: Sig Plach
fabric:
Condition: Good - This dress has a handful of light yellow stains that were very hard to photograph ( see the last photo for one of the stains). I did not try any stain removal on this piece, but you may be able to very carefully bleach it?
Keep in mind these garments are usually quite old and it is not uncommon for them to show signs of wear. While I do my best to inspect the garments on the hunt for flaws, I do occasionally miss something. All pieces are sold as-is, so please be sure to ask if you are unsure of something.
Measures:
All measurements are taken with the garment laying flat and are then doubled ( for bust, waist, hips)
Please leave yourself a little wiggle room for the most comfortable fit.
