1970s Disney X Canadiana Pottery Rare Tall Savage Sam Figurine

This vintage tall dog red clay figurine is part of the Walt Disney's True Life Adventures collection produced under license only by Canadiana Pottery. They created various characters from Disney films. Savage Sam is a movie about Old Yeller's son, Sam. He was a Bluetick Coonhound, having inherited his colors from his mother, Miss Prissy. • 11" tall x 4.5" wide x 7" deep • Shiny tan and brown glaze • Short run production and rare Canadiana Pottery was opened in the late 1960's in Ingleside, Ontario by Alfred Dube from Blue Mountain Pottery. Through contacts he had at Walt Disney, he was able to obtain licensing for production of pottery figurines of various Disney characters. Canadiana Pottery ran for about ten years until Dube retired. Note: Excellent condition. The pieces are identified with a gold foil label. This sticker label is completely faded due to use and washing, however I added a picture of an original sticker from an identical piece. I also included a photo of Alfred Dube with a Savage Sam figurine. M3-6
