1970s Fratelli Mugnai Firenze Italian brown leather briefcase tablet sleeve bag

A chic vintage leather handbag or smaller briefcase in a rich brown leather with brass(ed) accents, made by F lli Mugnai, Firenze (Italy). It would be able to hold a tablet (depending on brand and model, please check dimensions below) such as an Apple MacBook, or you could simply fill it with a smaller notepad, diary, phone and wallet. It is too small for a legal notepad, and not deep enough for an A4 notepad. On the inside it has 3 main compartments, the front with a pocket for a credit card or business cards, the back with a YKK zippered pocket. The zipper works well. Condition: With plenty of marks of age and use, including a break to the leather inside the flap (pictured) and some of the stitching threads have come away. There are some older repairs visible such as on the back side seam (pictured) and some stitching has been redone. There is slight whiteish staining to the leather on the inside of the bag, and on the outside there is wear to the brassed finish on the hardware. There are small loops to the handle, possibly to connect a shoulder strap or chain (not present), although the rings do look a little delicate for that (although they would be perfect for bag charms). The top handle is in nice shape with age appropriate wear. The inside beige lining in surprisingly nice condition with only small marks of age and use.
