Pair of two vintage French onion soup bowls designed by Jean Cartier for Céramique de Beauce in the 70's. Magnificent orange and gray glaze called "Le Flambé", or The Flame. Pieces from this series are quite rare today and very sought after by collectors.
• 5" diameter x 2" tall
• Marked with maker's mark
• Mold C-84
Jean Cartier's pieces can be seen in museums such as the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec and the Royal Ontario Museum.
This pair of bowls is in excellent vintage condition, free of chips, cracks or repairs. May show some fine glaze crazing and some defects due to the manufacturing process. Please see pictures for details.
