1970s Pippa Doll Dress ONLY Oriental Collection Meccano RARE MINT Vintage HTF. British toymaker Palitoy created the "pocket-sized" fashion doll known as Pippa between 1972 and 1980. She was a 6.5-inch fashion doll who owned a car, an apartment, a lot of friends, and even her own hair salon. Pippa was promoted as "the pocket money fashion doll that puts fashion in your pocket," much like Topper's Dawn dolls. Due to the doll's diminutive size, production costs were also typically lower than those of competitors like Barbie and Sindy.
