1970s West Germany Bay Keramic Volcanic Fat Lava Pottery Planter

Very nice intense orange with brown and white textured crusty volcanic fat lava glaze.  White clay pottery plant pot that is glazed on the inside. • Incised Bay Keramic W-Germany on bottom • 5" tall x 6" diameter Bay Keramik was founded by Eduard Bay in 1933 and was one of the most successful ceramics factories in West Germany. Today Bay ceramics, which range in design from the highly bizarre to extreme Modernism, are highly popular with interior designers and collectors alike. The factory, no longer able to continue with their costly production process, ceased to exist in 1997. Note: There is a white ring around the inside about 2" down from the top, as shown in the second to last photo.
