1977 MARIMEKKO Design Research waisted shirtdress

Another beautiful vintage MARIMEKKO shirtdress with long sleeves, button collar and elasticized waist with large pleats. Thin stripes over large earth-toned stripes make it perfect for fall (with tights and knee-high boots). Don't sleep on this collector's item ! This dress is in absolutely fantastic condition EXCEPT for a little slit at the back bottom of the skirt (see last photo). I've had this for close to 15 years and it's hung unworn in a garment bag so it hurts that I haven't noticed until now. Can easily be fixed with one or two stitches and looks clean (like a cut, about 1/2 cm). 100% thicker cotton (not lightweight but not sturdy, like a good men's shirt) EU 38 Measurements laying flat : armpit to armpit 20" waist (stretched 21", for fit reference the mannequin waist is 32" around) length 46.5" There is still about 3" that the skirt hem length could be let down (see photo).
