1980’s Positively Ellyn Black Velvet Dress with Gold Stitching

A black velvet smocked back party dress by Positively Ellyn, likely 1980’s in vintage. The condition is good, but it has some shiny spots in the back, as signs of wear. One spot on the smocking has been mended. The front of the bodice is machine embroidered with gold thread, and structured with plastic boning. It zips up the back. It fits a size 4 mannequin, and measures as shown: 36” bust, 28” waist, 38” hips, 42” from nape of neck to hem.
