...tourist, straight Chinese style vase A wonderful piece of home decor - an perfect for tourists and (new) immigrants to Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. A straight sided porcelain vase, featuring the Lions gate bridge going down to Stanley park, a park ranger on horseback stands in front of a Totem Pole, looking out onto the cruise liner ship pulling into Vancouver Harbour. The classic straight form is suitable to hold flowers, a plant, or utensils in the kitchen. The top and bottom band are hand painted and the main scene likely an underglaze transfer / decal. Despite it being unmarked for a maker, it feel like the base form was slab built and the decorations are of a decent quality. This item dates ca 1980 / 1990s. Condition: great!
