The 112 full colour photographs show objects ranging from delicate 19th century blown glass balls for the Christmas tree and hand-painted New Years noisemakers to luxuriant Victorian valentines, Halloween witch candy holders, and Uncle Sam whirligigs. William Ketchum’s Text Ross on folklore and social history to give us the order in and use of each object, as well as his place in the tradition of the holiday it’s celebrates. FAULTS: There are some obvious signs of ware on the dust cover, including small rips, wrinkles, scuffs and creasing. On the actual book body there are some signs of damage and dentition on one corner (pictured), but overall good shape. Please carefully review images, damage has been documented.
