Interesting fact ☝ The Cornflower pattern was designed in 1912 by a young Canadian glass cutter named William John Hughes. The Dufferin-born artisan has grown his glassware into a national brand enjoyed by Canadian families for more than a century.
Fine glassware was sold to working class families at an affordable price to add a little elegance and charm to their dinner tables. Both W. J. Hughes and his son-in-law Pete Kaiser were committed to the core principles of quality and affordability, and their innovative marketing in the 1950s and 1960s made Corn Flower a household name.
