2 skeins of hand-dyed 100% wool — variegated green

2 skeins of bulky weight yarn, hand dyed by me with natural dyes in the same vat. They are both a mid-range cool green colour, variegated. One skein shows the variation from a dark teal at one end of the skein to a light sage green at the other end. The other skein has the same range of colours, but the variegation is slightly different, and the skein shows the colours more mixed. The photos show the colour as more green than it is -- there are blue undertones to the darker areas. Like all hand-dyed yarns, it is tonal in nature, and may show some variations of colour within the skein. Although these two skeins are technically the same dye lot, you should not expect them to match exactly. The base yarn is 100% wool, not next-to-skin soft, but wonderfully rustic and perfect for small projects or as a pop of colour in a larger project. These two skeins should be enough for a pair of mittens. One of a kind. Please note: Hand-dyed yarns may shed a small amount of dye when washed for the first time. The dye is colourfast, but sometimes the dyeing process leaves some loose dye in the fibres. If you plan to use this yarn together with different coloured yarns in the same project, you may wish to pre-wash the skeins before winding into a ball.
