2000s retro multicolor plaid tartan preppy school girl pleated short mini skirt

this is a super cute retro mini skirt “made in the u.s.a.” by Lux Lux Lux from the 2000s featuring a tartan plaid print in shades of light blue/purple and red – love the preppy light academia vibes! the multicolor skirt has a fitted and pleated body, a high waist/rise, and an ultra short hemline, shown on 5’6 model who usually wears size small to medium. there are lovely details throughout, including red trimming around the waistline, and six decorative metal buttons on the front of the skirt. the skirt has a back metal zip and clasp closure, and the fabric is a lightweight and comfortable polyester/rayon/spandex blend, that is unlined. tagged as vintage size 3 and I would say this best fits a womens modern day size small (waistband measures 25” but model usually wears 26-27” waist). in great vintage condition with light pilling and light signs of wear. measurements (lying flat): waistband: 12.5” across (or 25” when doubled) hips: 17” across total length: 15.5”
