Ideal for a special occasion. Chocolate is a trendy color this winter. Custom made set of 3? but each piece could also be combined with other styled clothing & accessories to create an array of completely different looks. Your imagination & your closet are the limits! Contemporary pieces assembled to reminisce an elegant woman around the turn of the 19th-20th century. Both clothing pieces fit nicely size large and are brown with a light rusty tone. The top is moiré with some black. Hues will vary with light Skirt: A rare find (Alfred Angelo brand no longer exists since 2017) “A” line cut Professionally enlarged at the waist (see picture). Double layer of polyester fabric: the lining is a mat brown with rusty hue satin feel and the top layer is a sheer of the same colour. Dry cleaning Waist closes at the back with a zipper and an inside button. Measurements when flat and approximate: Waist (not expandable) :17.5’ Lenght: 40’ Hips measured at~ 7’ fr waist: 20.74’ Choker: Has black pendant beads as well as flower outlines made of black beads & separated by light brown beads matching the tone of the clothing fabric. Blouse: Labelled size 16 but because its collar is wide and it is wrapped around the waist with a very large band, it will also fit nicely a size large US. Its fabric is like taffeta moiré in black. Pictures best describe the tiered large sleeves. Handwashing as per label. All in excellent used vintage (1990’s) condition.

j7jana Would you say this taffeta? Taffeta is such a high end material and was often used in designer wear I loved that is its shape well This is a beautiful dress

knackofmix @j7jana the blouse is taffeta-like. It looks like taffeta and it feels like taffeta. However I think real taffeta reflects the light with many angles so it is more interesting than this fabric here I think that these days thanks to technology, taffeta -like fabrics are made…you have an interesting question, I would have to do some research. I have a reliable source that explains different fabrics …if I find a more precise answer, I will get back to you! Thanks for your interest

knackofmix Good day You will find good info on taffeta on Wikipedia. Historically yes this was an expensive fabric because it was made of silk. What makes this particular textile interesting is that “it holds itself” so it highlights nicely some of the designs or cuts, like on the top of this listing.
