(2/$20) Basic Parachutist Jump Insignia Pin

This pin is made of a silver tone metal and has 2 pointy pins in the back. The backings that came with it were mismatched, so I will ship this piece with new backings. The pin is shaped like a diamond flexing its wings, but it's actually an insignia pin for a Basic Parachutist. According to Google, this is awarded "after completing the Basic Airborne Course, which involves ground, tower, and jump phases, including five jumps in varying configurations". I believe this is for the US army/military, not Canadian. The back of the pin says P14745. I don't know if this references the manufacturer or the parachutist (or neither). The pin is in good condition overall and has a nice patina. I can't verify the age of this piece but the wear and tone changes from time suggest older.
