Genuine Dark Green Tumbled Prehnite Sterling Silver Hook Dangle Earrings
Prehnite is a newly-found semi-precious stone. It was first described in 1788 and named for Colonel Hendrik Von Prehn (1733–1785), commander of the military forces of the Dutch colony at the Cape of Good Hope. The beauty of this stone is its semi-transparent colour, which makes it looks like high-quality jade. An inosilicate of calcium and aluminum, prehnite forms crystals of a pearly green or yellow luster. Particularly beautiful specimens are used to carve pendants or rings.
19 mm - 10 mm dark green prehnite tumbled-stone beads, there are some tiny druzy holes (pictured)
The length of drop is about 1 1/2"
***Sterling silver hooks (only the hooks are made of sterling silver 925)
