(2/$20) V. Muddy Red Molded Plastic Bangle

This vintage bangle bracelet is made of molded plastic and is fixed in shape. The bangle has a twisting swirl pattern and a deep, red colour. Based on the muddiness of the tone, the swirl, and the general molded plastic nature of the piece, I suspected this might be bakelite however, simichrome testing disagrees (and it may be too light anyway). That might mean the bangle is made of lucite, urea formaldehyde, or some other early plastic. The bracelet has normal wear, including one small visible spot of damage (see picture 4).
