Viva Magenta Agate Triqueta Sterling Silver Dangle Earrings
The triquetra, or Irish Trinity Knot, is an elegant symbol formed by three interlaced arcs. Seen in ancient Celtic art and medieval manuscripts (particularly in the Insular tradition), it’s one of the simplest and most iconic knot designs. Today, it’s widely used in Celtic-inspired jewelry—especially claddaghs, wedding bands, and other meaningful pieces.
Thanks to its porosity, naturally-occurring Agate can be readily dyed or stained. Agate is a type of Chalcedony with prominent bands, but sometimes, these colorful patterns are artificially enhanced to get a more marketable product. Dyed Agate is produced this way and comes in many bright and vivid colors that follow the natural pattern of the stone.
