Strap can be easily hidden and tuck inside for a just a top handle look. Leather strap is not included unless you want the chain one for free. I removed the original strap and replaced it with a metal chain, wanted a dressier look. (Impulsive move, I never ended up using the purse however). I still firmly believe it looks a lot dressier this way and I can use any strap I want or even tuck them in. Fits so much inside we well! Gorgeous purse, purchased in store.
