Hamsters have the tendency to chew on different areas. While this cage is still in good condition, please understand that it has been well loved. There are various areas that have been chewed on, including the bars, food dish, end caps, tunnels, and petting zone. There is some glue residue on the top of the petting zone due to securing it with masking tape. I never fully trust the security clips because I have had hamsters figure out how to open the top in the past. There is some glue residue on the top piece from masking tape as well. There is also some staining in the petting zone due to the area previously being used as a bathroom. The cage has since been completely soaked and scrubbed thoroughly.
