Beautiful vintage Keeling & Co Ltd 9"- Plate in the "Shanghai" Pattern c.1900- 1919 (Art Nouveau) An absolutely fabulous British kitchenalia- Plate, it's in pristine condition, with no chips or cracks, colors are vibrant and gilt around it is also in perfect condition. Hand Painted with the central image that of the Peacock in rich tones of blue, green, red and cobalt blue. Surrounded by images of Peonies. Collectible authentic British pottery, of unsurpassed quality, these are becoming rarer and harder to find! The firm of Keeling & Co produced quality earthenwares from 1886 to 1936 in Burslem, Staffordshire. Early items have a mark featuring the figure of a potter, the date 1790, and the words "Late Mayers". The trade name LOSOL was in use from 1912-1936 and items bearing this name are becoming increasingly collected. Made in England
