henryhoney @moderndrip they look like the matrix, but I see no gem material. Been working with Ammolite since 2008, and never seen any like these.

moderndrip @henryhoney there is purple dragon scale hiding under the matrix, these all came from the ammolite factory so I doubt they would sell boulder opal as they only work with ammolites

moderndrip @henryhoney if you have been working with ammolites for that long then you should know that this is a piece of ammolite! :) if you look closely the ammolite dragon scales are a dead giveaway

henryhoney @moderndrip agreed. They are selling their scrap possibly to make into mosaics with small bits. Matrix is not transparent, and purple is closest to the matrix, so the gem has likely all been ground away.

moderndrip @henryhoney they wouldn't sell their best material for the prices I got these for of course...I got these at a super bargain anyways, I'll have alot more ammolites posted soon! if you are looking for gem grade material I have alot as well that aren't posted yet

moderndrip @henryhoney i mostly only do whole sale for ammolites but i occasionaly sell single specimens as well, and you have a lovely shop as well! very nice ammolites!
