30's or 40's parasol, red, not perfect

This parasol is in sound condition, but it as tiny little holes on one side (see pictures). This is not very apparent when it is opened, unless one looks very closely. It is made of man made material made to look like silk. I believe, judging from the handle, that it is from the 30’s or 40’s. It seems a bit Art Deco to me.
