This is a set of four scallop-edged porcelain salad plates in the well-known 'Bridal Rose' pattern. With its decorative swaths of tiny pink and yellow roses and green leaves, it is among the most collectable of the antique china patterns.
The plates were manufactured by the Moritz Zdekauer factory in Altrohlau, Austria, between 1909 and 1922 (as shown by the mark). The plates each measure approximately 7 3/4 inches across. They do show some very slight wear to the gold finish on the edges, as might be expected given their age, but are otherwise in very good condition, without cracks, chips, stains, scratches or other damage or defect.
Charming!
As a side note - MZ Austria and MZ Czecholslovakia products came from the same factory. Before the First World War the Zdekauer factory was in Austria. Afterwards, when the Austro-Hungarian Empire was divided up and the boundary lines were redrawn, they found themselves in Czechoslovakia instead - which is why some MZ porcelain says Austria and some is marked as Czech. Same factory - same lovely porcelain.
