Arklahoma Hand Blown Glass Vase This beautiful features a pinkish tinted glass with stunning white swirls. It is called Sooner Glass or Arklahoma Glass due to its origin in Oklahoma and Arkansas.. There are some bubbles and irregularities consistent with hand blown glass. Otherwise no chips, cracks or breaks. Some history: This style of art glass originated in the 1950s and 1960s as ‘Sooner Glass’ or ‘Arklahoma Glass’. It was sold in he 1970s under ‘Old Hickory Glass’ label and others. The style is easy to recognize. A major maker of these pieces was the Central Glass Co in Spiro, Oklahoma. Also made in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Fort Smith.
