40s/50s Rambler by Kadin Top Grain Leather Bag Brown Gold Framed Antique USA

A beautiful and quality-made bag by Kadin. Made in the USA from the late 1930s, the Rambler was crafted in top grain, buffalo leather. This one is a deep shade of brown with elephant texture. Gold tone hardware, including feet at the base. Inside, there is a metal frame with lift-latch closure. On either side of the metal frame is a slip compartment. One has a zippered pocket. There is a zippered pocket inside the frame too (“Kent” brand zippers). There are two slip pockets on one side of the outside. Double handles. The bag has very little wear, considering its age. There is a small spot near the metal frame where the finish has been picked off the leather. See last photo. There is a tiny bit of green patina on the exterior metal. The metal frame has scratches, and some of the gold finish has chipped off. The liner has marks and wear. Per my research, this bag is from the 40s or 50s. The leather has been cleaned and conditioned. The bag measures about 11” wide x 7 3/8” high x 2 3/8” deep (at the base) with a 6” strap drop.
