How do you get more followers??
Aug 29Reply

styleluxe4less
@missaisha555 Hi Evelyne! There are a couple I ways to do this. 1) Start following more people. Most of them will follow you back. 2) Add items to parties every chance you get. It will expose your listings to people that aren't already following you. 3) Share people's listings, especially people that have a ton of followers. They return the favor most of the time and share your listings with their large number of followers, exposing your listings to new people who may in turn follow you. 4) Build relationships with others, buyers and the general Poshmark community. People will share your listings more, suggest
you to friends, etc. These can be a bit time-consuming in the beginning, but well worth it when it makes you sell a lot more items. Let me know if you still have questions.

@michaelachick26 Hi Michaela! There's actually a huge debate going on right now about trading, so I'm working on a blog titled "To Trade or Not to Trade (that is the question)". I'll post the link on here for you.
Aug 29Reply

sugarfinch
@styleluxe4less when you've negotiated a new price what's the easiest way to ensure the buyer gets it for that price? Is there a way to adjust it after its bought or do you just edit your listing before they buy? What it a different person swoops in and buys it before the one that bartered with you gets a chance? Sorry if this is a goofy question! 😊
Aug 30Reply

styleluxe4less
@sugarfinch Hi Amanda! No, that's a great question. You have to change the price before they buy it, so you just ask them if they are ready to buy right now. If they ask me to reserve it for a short time, I add "RESERVED TIL..." at beginning of the title. And, I also add 2 zeros to the end of the price so no one else buys it. Then, when they tell me they are ready to purchase, I take the 2 zeros off, and they buy right away. Let me know if you still have questions about this. You can look at my first listings to see how I just did something like this tonight for someone and then she bought the bundle.

sugarfinch
@styleluxe4less Thanks for the quick answer and the shares!❤
Aug 30Reply

sugarfinch
@styleluxe4less I thought up another question! When someone wants to negotiate is it appropriate to give them your email and take the conversation there? I don't see a way to delete comments so if someone gets offered a super low price but decides not to buy everyone else will know your absolute bottom line and/or want to start the bartering at that already low low price. Thanks for this posting- its so helpful for us newbies!
Aug 30Reply

styleluxe4less
@sugarfinch Amanda, there's so much I want to say about your questions. Looks like I have a new blog topic to write about. (I'll totally give you credit for the idea!) :) I personally would never take a conversation off of poshmark, nor would I use PayPal to do a transaction. In addition, I understand your hesitancy in posting your lowest price just for them I say no, and without being able to delete comments, I have seen this affect a person's price on several listings. The way I overcome this is to never use a price in my actual comment. I normally ask them if they would like to purchase something additional in my closet for a better deal. Or, I'll ask them what is the most they would be willing to pay (turn I around on them). Then, you don't have to drop the price when half the time the person is really interested anyway. Hope this helps! ;)

How do you add your items to parties?
Sep 01Reply

styleluxe4less
@dnawtone Hi Iam! Welcome to Poshmark! To add your items to a party, it has to be during the 2 hours that the party is taking place. You simply click the Share button under the listing and then click the button to Share to the party. And, there are 2 parties every day. It's really simple. Let me know if you still have questions!

Hi. First, thanks for all the info, being a newbie can be frustrating. My question is how do I find the people I'm following? I want to go back and look at their closets but I can't figure out how to do that. Also ( 2nd Q ) I've been on posh for almost 2 weeks and only sold 1 thing. How long does it usually take to sell and when should one reduce the prices?
Sep 02Reply

styleluxe4less
@emd Elisa, go under My Account, then scroll down to Edit Profile. When you see ppl with a description, it's because they changed the City and Website part to say whatever they wanted to say. :)
Sep 02Reply

styleluxe4less
@bonnia Bonni - congrats on selling your first item within 2 weeks! Sometimes people sign up for Poshmark and don't even list an item or a month. The way to find the people you are following is to simply click the number highlighted in blue above Following at the top of your closet. The first thing you should do to get more sales now that you have listings is to FOLLOW more people. Read the above comment I made to @missaisha555 regarding this. Right now, you only have 172
people following you which means out of the 75,000 people on Poshmark, only 172 of them are seeing when you post something to your closet. Change this number and increase your sales. Hope this helps! Make sure you LIKE this listing, and you will have easy access to reference back to it when needed. :)

Hi doll! I'm not that new but have wanted to know this answer for awhile & no one seems to know. Ok I have seen the regular hosts who are part of the posh team pick a guest host for almost every party now - was wondering how to become a guest host?? Is there a list to sign up for or do u think they randomly pick people? Lmk thanks!
Sep 03Reply

styleluxe4less
@ananj Ana - I think they focus on people in fashion, and I'm not sure exactly how they decide or what it entails, but I received an email from Poshmark on Friday asking ME to host an upcoming party! So, when I find out the details I will share the info with you. :)
Sep 03Reply

@styleluxe4less Is there a suggested user list offered by PM or featured closets? If so, how is it determined whether u are one...volume sold, since there is no PM rating system yet. I saw a page in ur closet talking about it , so was wondering. Thnx! Also, do u have a rule of thumb for pricing ur items marketably. Another site suggests 45% of retail but they take 5% less commission. Was curious, as m trying to be sure whether my price-point is ok for PM.
Sep 03Reply

tadams
@styleluxe4less last question, what if u realized u priced something too cheaply by accident but someone has already commented. They aren't interested buying after all but i want to raise the price a tad for others visiting. She nor I talked about the price in the comments. Can i change the listing or will it look bad? I don't want to get on the bad list!
Sep 03Reply

styleluxe4less
@jaxt24 Hi Jacki! I'm originally from Rock Hill, SC. :) It's awesome that you already have 22 listings! But, here's the problem: only 34 (35 with me) are seeing them. Follow my above comment about getting more followers and start reaching more of the 76,000 users on Poshmark to get that first sale ASAP! One last thing - you have great listings! We even wear the same shoe size, so I'm going to have to take a closer look. But, the pictures look a little foggy. See if this is the camera lens. Did you possibly get your phone wet? If so, stick it in a closed bowl of uncooked rice overnight and the fogginess should go away. Good luck getting that first sale today! I'll share a couple listings to my 5,000 followers. :)
Sep 03Reply

jaxt24
I noticed that about the pics as well. I am using my iPad and the camera isn't that great. I will try better lighting to see if that helps. Thanks again for all the great advice! Your closet is beautiful, I see myself getting in trouble there;)
Sep 03Reply

styleluxe4less
@tadams Hi Tracy! Glad you found the post. Yes, Poshmark has a Suggested User list. I just got an email from them on Friday, adding me to it! It's the 20+ people that you were automatically following when you signed up for your account. How to find it: Go to My Account, then Search People, then Suggested People. I am not sure exactly how they decide, but I believe they consider your closet, your satisfied customers, if you follow all of the rules, etc.
Sep 03Reply

styleluxe4less
@tadams Ok, about pricing - When I am determining how to price something, I always add $7 in my head and see if I would purchase the item at that price (or if I think others would). I always refrain from using "the lowest price I would take" or really any numbers in my comments, because sometimes buyers just want to see how low you will go, but they are not really serious about buying. So, when I get asked that question, I turn it around and ask them, "What is the most you would pay?" It keeps me from having to disclose my bottom line on an item. Also, I have done the "listing priced too low" thing you mentioned above. I'll tag you in the listing, so you can see how I handled. But, I didn't realize I priced it so low, so I asked the girl looking at the item if she was serious about buying, because I really should have had the price a lot higher. She didn't respond, and I raised the price. It's no big deal. Nothing like that will ever get you on anyone's bad list. The best you can do is to be honest on Poshmark and treat others exactly how you expect to be treated, and you will have fun, meet new people and make a little money in the process! :)

Sep 04Reply

styleluxe4less
@melaniehorn Hi Melanie! That's the million dollar question! :) In looking at your closet, here are some suggestions for you: 1) Read my above response on getting more followers. Increase that number and increase sales. 2) Add more listings. Right now, you have 3, so adding more items is going to give
people more of a selection to choose from as well as encourage them to bundle more than one item together to save on shipping. For more tips, check out my blog StyleLuxe4Less.com. We just reblogged a post from Poshmark on "How to make your first sale" that has great information! :)
Sep 04Reply

styleluxe4less
@beezust143 Pamela, YES, and it is very easy to do! I know, because I have had to do it myself MANY times. :) Simply click on the item you have Liked, scroll down to where the Like button is, and click it again. It will "un"Like the item for you, and this can all be done right from the My Likes area of the app.

Hi Robin! Yes, thanks to you I'm off to a great start. The people are all so nice and have been sharing my listings with their followers. I'm trying to pay it forward when I " meet" newbies I tag them from here. A girl, @kspiri2 has also been a big help. SHe let me go thru her followers and they have been wonderful. Just 21/2 days ago I had 100 followers. Now its over 400! I even sold my 1st bundle. I have a question about that... How do you get the pics together for a bundle. I have an iPad, & not sure if that makes a difference. Thank you so much for putting together this forum.
And thanks so very much for sharing my listings. You have been an awesome help. You & k made the difference with my Posh experience. I just love it now! I'm addicted. If there is anything I can do for you please ask! Thanks again for the help & the sharing. Have a wonderful day!

bonnia
Btw. Congrats on the hosting gig!! Woohoo
You go girl!! That's just wonderful I'm glad posh is taking note of what you're doing for this community . Yea!
Sep 04Reply

styleluxe4less
@bonnia Thanks, Bonni! I will know more when the Poshmark crew returns from Fashion Week, so I'm guessing the party I host will be next week. As far as 3rd party apps, I use PicFrame for combining multiple photos for bundles. It's .99 and is available for iPad or iPhone. The one I used to create the picture in this listing is Versagram, but I prefer using Tweegram. I have a lot of examples of Tweegram in my closet. I upgraded this to the Pro version for $1.99, although you can download it for free. Also, in case you do not know, you can download iPhone apps on the iPad and just magnify the screen to make it appear larger on your iPad. All 3 apps are super easy to use. :)
Sep 04Reply

Sep 04Reply

bonnia
@makookala. Here is the page you will want to read & hit like it so you have it for reference. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Robins great at helping us newbies!
Sep 04Reply

styleluxe4less
@melaniehorn That's completely up to you. I typically base this on my attachment to the item. Will I wear it again? Was I going to donate it to The Salvation Army anyway? Sometimes, I will reduce an item when a party is going on. Other times, I will lower the price for a special I am running. You can lower or raise the price at any time. Just remember - if a buyer has Liked or Commented on the item, it's not really appropriate to raise the price unless you were running a special or communicate with them why the price is being raised. Hope this helps!
Sep 04Reply

styleluxe4less
@emd Elissa - I just checked your closet, and you got it almost perfect. The one other thing you should always do is include a picture of everything in that bundle in the actual listing. And, ask the same of anyone preparing a bundle for you. It guarantees everyone's expectations are the same and leaves a much less chance for error. See the above comments on 3rd party apps to help with bundle photos. But, no worries. It can also be done by just adding photos like normal. Ok, now go sell some more bundles! :)

@styleluxe4less hi, me again! Have another question...when i repost and it goes on the deed does it go to all my followers, or should i be sharing instead? U know, in order to show my things each day as reminders they are there? Also, new items posted. May be a silly question, but want to b sure m doing this right and taking full advantage of the follower concept. Thanx!!!!
Sep 05Reply

tadams
@styleluxe4less i meant feed of course. PS i visited ur blog, i liked it, thnx for doing it.
Sep 05Reply

styleluxe4less
@tadams Thanks, Tracy! I think we are going to do a video post soon! About your question, I am not sure I understand it. What do you mean when you "repost"? I do recommend "Share"ing your listings regularly so more people see them in their News feed (but not oversharing). When you Share an item, it goes out to all of your followers. Hope this helps! :)
Sep 05Reply

tadams
Ok maybe m doing it wrong then, i dont hit share, i hit edit and just repost. Better to share? But then how do u get new followers if only ur current ones see the item?
Sep 05Reply

styleluxe4less
@tadams Ok, got it. Either of them actually works, but there's no need to hit Edit if you're not changing the post, and Share works just fine. As for getting new followers, there are several explanations above, including one from yesterday where I also reblogged a post from Poshmark on my website. Getting more followers definitely increases eyes on your closet, and it should increase your sales! Good luck!
Sep 05Reply

tadams
Ok, so just to be clear, Share puts the post on the full feed as well as ur followers feeds?
Sep 05Reply

styleluxe4less
@tadams Tracy - To my knowledge, this is how it works. (I reached out to Poshmark to confirm, but have not heard back yet.) When you Share a listing from your closet to your followers, it goes to all of the people following you. When you Reshare the same listing, it goes to the same people (your
followers).
The only time a person not following you can see your listings is: If you share them in a party or if they are searching for an item/size/brand and your item
comes up in the search.
If you are familiar with Twitter, it works the same way. If someone follows you, your tweet shows up in their newsfeed. Otherwise, they only see it if they go on your page or you come up on a search.
I don't believe there is anything you can do to have your listing show up to everyone on Poshmark. If everyone could do that, it would defeat the whole purpose of having followers.
I'll let you know if any of this needs to be corrected after I hear back from Poshmark.

@peacelovex47 Ashleigh - when someone buys something from you, they pay $7 for shipping. You get emailed the pre-paid label. When they receive the shipment, they click a button that says they received the order as described. Then, the money gets put in your account. You can spend it, get a check or have it direct deposited into your account at any time.

@hartchm Christine - My advice to you in catching the best deals would be: 1) Pay attention to items that you like and visit those closets often. 2) When you see something you like, don't just press the LIKE button, press the BUY NOW button. 3) Use the search functionality to constantly check designers and items you like. DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN CLICK THE SIZE IN ANY LISTING & IT WILL TAKE YOU TO ALL OF THE OTHERS LISTINGS IN THAT CATEGORY IN THAT SIZE???? :)

Hi. When someone likes an item or asks a question how do you respond. I am not sure i am doing it right. Thank you
Sep 09Reply

styleluxe4less
@beezust143 Hi Pamela! You just have to put the @ sign and start typing their name. This is called "tagging." Most of the time it comes right up. I just did this for you as an example on one of your listings. Here's the easiest way to remember it: If you comment in someone else's closet, you don't have to tag them because it's THEIR closet. They will receive a notification. But, if you are in YOUR closet, you have to "tag" the person you want to see your comment because that is the only way they will receive a notification. Hope this helps!

@styleluxe4less Hey Robin I'm wanting to do a little more advertising for my closet and hoping to get more sales. How do you get signs like this, is it an app? Or maybe a setting?
Sep 09Reply

mrsprez
Also @styleluxe4less do you think it might increase those sale if listings are say like a shirt and a matching sweater as appose to those items being listed separate?
Sep 09Reply

styleluxe4less
@mrsprez Cassie - there is info above in a post to @bonnia and @emd regarding 3rd party apps to use to create photo listings. About your second question on pairing items up on a listing. I've seen a lot of people do it where they match an outfit and call out what the set would cost or what the items individually would cost. I usually just say in the description that the other items are available in my closet. Hope this helps!

Thank you - very sweet to still remember! I have another puzzling question which u may be able to help- I bought what I thought were authentic designer earrings but after verifying they are not! I have sent emails & pics of item but no response from posh- do u happen to know if there is a customer service # to try to reach them? Or what else may I do to get a reply?
Sep 09Reply

@emd My next question for robin was going to be about the wording too thanks you saved me the finger strokes. @styleluxe4less has been absolutely amazing!
Sep 09Reply

styleluxe4less
@ananj Not sure when you reached out to them, but remember most (if not all) of the were at Fashion Week in New York all week. They have added new functionality to the app recently. Go under My Purchases and then go to the purchase an click on it. At the bottom of it, there is a Problems button. Click that, then answer the questions and also reference your email and the pics you have previously sent. I am sure it will be taken care of this week. And, just remember - Poshmark is growing at such a fast pace, they are doing everything they can to keep up with the demands by hiring new people. And, anytime you have a new company/app like this, they are still working out the links, getting rid of the replicas and fake product an taking action to make Poshmark a safe place for everyone! :)

You are 1 smart cookie- didn't think posh would be there but ok - sent 5 days ago- my problem is I wasn't aware they were fake until a friend said 'why are u wearing fake Chanel?' mortifying! That was 10 days after sale & when I go into my purchases it says I can't send inquiry since 3 days past - the seller was so insist it was real, I believed & didn't check until pointed out- then I went to the Chanel NY store & another designer store & yes, confirmed fake- so yes hopefully they will review & will help with this situation - I think if a person is honest & says, this is faux, or this is damaged here - fine for someone to decide but it's the liars & scammers that sell for high prices faux as real that is truly sad- dont know how they sleep at night. Thanks for all your words of wisdom! You are a Gem!

Ok, I am completely clueless on how to even post my items on Poshmark. Can I do it right from my phone?
Sep 09Reply

styleluxe4less
@gymjanice Hi Janice! You'll want to go under My Account and scroll down and read all of the Frequently Asked Questions as well as all of the comments here to learn more about Poshmark. Now, to create listings you can ONLY do it through your phone. Simply click the Sell icon at the bottom in the middle. The camera will come up. Either snap a picture or find one you have already taken. Then, take up to 3 more pics, give the listing a Title and a Description, add the category, size, designer, original price and your selling price and you are all set to List your item. :)
Sep 09Reply

gymjanice
Thanks! I'm going to try to work on that this week!!!!

bonnia
Good Morning Robin. I have a quick question. When a bundle is sold, do you delete all but one of the items from the listings? ( since only 1 listing is actually sold)
Sep 10Reply

styleluxe4less
@bonnia That's a great question, Bonni, and it's really up to your personal preference. But, here is what I do: I leave up all listings, because the number of listings you have can add to your credibility. I actually DON'T create a brand new listing for the bundle, but just choose one of the item's listing to change the first picture. Like I mentioned above, I think it is ALWAYS necessary to have all items agreed to in a bundle in the photos of the bundle listing (& you should request that of others when you are buying a bundle, too). It just leaves less room for error and makes sure both the buyer and seller have the same items in mind for the same price before that Buy Now button is pushed. Another reason I believe it is important to leave up all listings is in case the buyer wants to question an item they received. If the listing has been deleted, they cannot reference the original pics posted or the description which might have included any imperfections of the item. All in all, I simply add SOLD to the beginning of the listing and add 2 zeros to the price. :)
Sep 10Reply

bonnia
Thank you Robin! That makes so much sense to leave the " others" in the listing. I had done exactly as you said & put sold on them w/ 2 zeros. Thanks again for the insight. Have a fantastic day!

Sep 11Reply

shayla0973
Hey Robin! My sister is new to PM, her username is @pipey22. She has an LV wallet that is a replica, but she wants to know what exactly about it gives away that it's not authentic. She just wants to learn more about authentic vs. fake designer pieces 😊 She looked online but couldn't really figure it out, so I thought you might be able to help! She has it listed--if you could take a look and help out in any way that would be awesome! Thanks! 😘
Sep 11Reply

styleluxe4less
@alee_rocha24 I would NEVER buy or sell through PayPal. Poshmark doesn't really permit it, and I think we'll see them start cracking down a lot more on users that do this. The issue is when people go off the app to buy or sell, Poshmark has no way to control it. So, although it might sound great at first to get shipping a little less or to make a little more off the purchase, there is NO way for Poshmark to protect you if the item is not authentic, if it comes damaged or of it never shows up at all!
Sep 11Reply

styleluxe4less
@shayla0973 @pipey22 OK, the first thing you should know is that Poshmark does not allow replicas and fake designer items. Although you've probably seen a million listings like I have, they have recently started deleting tons of listings where the items are replicas. Secondly, there is a user that is an expert in authenticating items. Her name is Sarah and her username is @shill. Hope this helps!
Sep 11Reply

shayla0973
Thanks for your answer! She actually only put it up because she thought it was fake and just wanted to show another user the pictures to find out for sure--I think she has it listed at $4,000,000 😄 She wasn't actually selling it--but thanks for the heads up because I thought it was ok as long as you say it's a replica because I had seen so many! Good to know!
Sep 11Reply

styleluxe4less
@emd Elisa - That would definitely be an issue with the app. Probably just a bug that needs to be worked out. (Start keeping track when it happens and report it to support@poshmark.com!) If you are on Twitter, I'm sure you've experienced before. It's called the infamous Unfollow Bug. PS - If any of you are on Twitter, you can follow me @RobinVosler for my personal account & @Styleluxe4Less for my fashion one. And, Poshmark's Twitter handle is @poshmarkapp.
Sep 11Reply

styleluxe4less
@shayla0973 You know, I think a lot of people started doing it because so many others were selling replicas. Besides the fact that the black market is horrible for the fashion industry, and I could go on and on, the main problem on Poshmark is people selling fake items and representing them as authentic. :(

Sep 12Reply

Ok not really sure how to word my question. But here goes, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I know I have a lot of nice item. Every time a person likes my items. I respond very quickly " R u interested Hun" but they never respond back. This is after they've liked a few of my items. I guess my question is I'm I saying something wrong?
Sep 12Reply

styleluxe4less
@shilabersdesign Hi Sherry! The best thing for them to do is go under My Account after they download the app and go to Frequently Asked Questions or from any computer, go to Poshmark.com and look at the very bottom for the FAQs. There's tons of info there (both the app and the website info is the same)! After that crash course, they should read all of these comments for some good inside info and tips! Then, I'm available for any questions after that! :)
Sep 12Reply

styleluxe4less
@tacha Ok, here are my thoughts. First, let me say I LOVE your closet, and everyone reading this should check it out! I'm sure I will bundle all of my likes soon! :) Now, let's get down to business, so you can make some more sales! Read all the comments above on getting more followers. Right now, out of the almost 100,000 users Poshmark has, only 500 are following you. So definitely increase that number (tips above) and increase your sales. Also (& this one is definitely MY personal opinion), I hate when I LIKE something and 2 seconds later they comment to ask me if I am interested. Yes, obviously I am interested. I clicked LIKE. It drives me nuts. The ONLY thing worse (& you're going to kill me for saying this, but others may feel the same way, so I want to shoot straight with you) is when they call me "Hun" or some other similar word. Maybe it's because I am from the South, but it comes across condescending whether it is intended that way or not. And, many times it's from someone half my age, so that bothers me even more. Just telling you how I personally feel. So back to the root of the problem, you need more followers. You have beautiful listings! Participate in parties right at the beginning and right at the end. And, re"SHARE" your listings often. Let me know if you have more questions. I'm happy to help you!
Sep 12Reply

tacha
Ok thanks, I was starting to think that as well about the word "Hun". Of course I only mean it in the most respectful way ever. I was starting to think something was wrong with my account. I thought that I might need to get it updated. Cause ppl never seem to respond. So r u saying not to respond to ppl who like my items? Just wait for them to ask?
Sep 12Reply

styleluxe4less
@tacha I'm not saying to NOT respond. I'm saying to NOT respond IMMEDIATELY. I always think about how I would want to be communicated with. Honestly, I don't mind being asked a few days later. Quite frankly, I like the reminder. Or, I definitely don't mind being tagged if the item is going on sale or the seller has a special. But, sometimes when people I haven't communicated with or don't know start commenting as soon as click LIKE, I catch myself staying away from even liking their items. :( That's just me.
Sep 12Reply

tacha
Thank u so much, this have been some very helpful information. To tell u the true I hate it when a person don't respond. In fact there r some super cute items that I've been waited on. The seller is not responding to anyone. I personally would like for the seller to respond ASAP. Just in case it's an item that I really like and have plans for. But thinks for helping me see both sides.
Sep 12Reply

styleluxe4less
@tacha Yes, I understand when a seller doesn't respond to a question, it can be frustrating! Especially when you are really interested in buying an item. But, I've only had that happen a couple of times.

New to Posh! This post answered so many questions. I joined so I could clean out my closet and make some money. I was asked immediately about "trading" and told her I was new but she explained it and so far the trades I have done have been completed. At first I thought it was a great idea to have different clothes but by doing this I was not cleaning my closet. I failed to read the FAQ on posh's tab. 😔. So thank you for all these Tips plus your blog. I did conduct a paypal transaction but after reading this I will not conduct a transaction outside Posh. I want to make sure our transaction is protected in case there is an issue. 😃

@patandg1 You might just win the Newbie Award! Great closet, already 174 listings, you're using a mannequin, you're reading up on what not to do, learning from the things you didn't know were not accepted. Yeah, that's all pretty impressive. You can't be THAT new! :) (Please note: The Newbie Award is not a real Poshmark award.) LOL
Sep 12Reply

styleluxe4less
@alee_rocha24 Sorry I missed your question earlier. So, you're basically asking if you change your mind and no longer want to sell an item what do you do? Well, assuming the sell has not actually been made (and no buyer has paid for the item), up simply scroll to the bottom of the listing and delete the post. If the item has been purchased from you, and instead of shipping it you want to keep it, you're going to need to contact support and let them know that so they can cancel the order. Personally, I don't recommend changing your mind after a sell, or people will not want to continue buying from you in the future. :(

@mslouislover Everyone gets invited to every party, as a way to let you know in advance what is coming up. Most of the daytime parties are centered around specific designers, which is why you will see a lot less listings in those. When it comes to the evening parties and you have items in your closet that fit the party description, you simply go to the listing, click SHARE, and then click on the party to share it in the party. There are several ideas for other ways to sell items in your closet above in all of the comments. Good luck on getting your first sale, and welcome to Poshmark, Sylvia! :)
Sep 12Reply

styleluxe4less
@patandg1 Patricia - I know electronic items are not supported. I know someone that purchased an electronic item that did not work, and there was nothing Poshmark could do to refund their money. (So, ladies - think about this before you buy one on here.) As far as men's and kids' items, I would reach out to support and ask Poshmark if I were you. (Then, you can share with all of us!) I know the FAQs say only women's clothing and accessories, so that's what I am going off of right now. Until they change that, I will not personally list those items, but I do see them all of the time. Also, congrats on all of your success on eBay. I think all those years on eBay will help you to have a very successful closet on Poshmark, and I think you'll find everything is much easier on this app. (especially for people new to eBay) :)

@jmarie374 Hi Joyce! I'm going to answer all of your questions at once. 1) To get notes from your "notepad" (as you call it) on your device, you can take a screenshot of the screen after you write it. On any Apple device, you simply press the button on the front at the bottom, and the button on the top right AT THE SAME TIME. This sends whatever is on your screen at the time directly to your Photos as a picture. There is information on 3rd party apps you can download as well though that will allow you to make notes with different backgrounds, combine more than one picture, etc. 2) In reference to the thick bands you have on your first picture in your listings, you need to take the picture without turning the camera to the side. Take it vertically and not horizontally, and this should do the trick. 3) For the emoticons, you can go to the App Store and search for Emoji Free and then install them through your keyboard settings. Settings - General - Keyboard - International - add Emoji. You might need to restart your phone after and then when you type a message next to the space bar you'll see a globe button and that's how you access them. 4) You don't need any special kind of paper for the address labels. You simply need a printer. And, then you print them out and tape them to the box and put in the mail. IT'S VERY SIMPLE. In fact, check out the next comment I make to everyone about shipping! Hope all of this info helps you!

I'd like to suggest something to sellers. It's a nice idea to launder the clothing you sell. It's very disappointing to receive an item you are excited about and it ends up reeking of cigarettes. Perfume doesn't smell as bad but no one wants to try on an item that smells like a stranger. So just a suggestion. :)

@princessshell Yes, great suggestion. Actually, it's not a suggestion. It's mandatory if you want to keep selling on here!!! Everyone's hoping for a seller rating system which may come down the road. What I tell everyone to do is ask your buyers to leave comments about their purchases at the bottom of the listing they purchased and then you can take a look at the SOLD listings and see what the buyers say! :)

This might be a silly question but how do so many people have items still with tags and brand new to sell? I'd love to empty my closet but everything has been worn. Are people really buying gently worn clothing or are they buying new and reselling in posh mark? Thanks!
Sep 15Reply

styleluxe4less
@chickenhead Hi Heidi! Welcome to Poshmark! I know there are some boutiques selling only brand new clothes on here, but mostly people are selling items right from their closet. I've sold TONS of my old, used clothing on here. The main thing to remember is to disclose any imperfections and to take a picture to include in the listing. And, actually I just went in your closet. You can't sell items unless you list them! :) Read all the comments above about adding followers, add as many listings as you can this weekend, and you'll be on your way to making your first sale!

@styleluxe4less robin I'm not sure .. About how I get paid and how I pay can you help me with this .. Do I need a Pay Pal acc ?
Sep 17Reply

styleluxe4less
@flowerbee Hi! OK, I actually wrote a blog entitled "How do I get paid?," so your question is a popular one. Getting paid is really easy. You get 80% after the buyer receives their order and says it was "as described." You can then spend it on Poshmark, get it direct deposited into your bank account or request a check. Check out the post (& more Poshmark info) on my website. www.bitly.com/PoshmarkSeries (This is case sensitive.) Also, NO you don't need a PayPal account, and it is not recommended that you do ANY transactions on PayPal, because Poshmark cannot help you if something goes wrong. Good luck, and Welcome to Poshmark!

Sep 17Reply

styleluxe4less
@cathipham Well that's nice to say! And, of course I will help you. You buy from me! :) Haha. I help everyone. The best things you can do to get ready are reading all of these comments and also heading to my blog. The link is in my profile. You definitely need to watch the video on Shipping even BEFORE you sell your first items! (It takes 5-10 days to get the free boxes sent to your house.) The link to the Poshmark series is www.bitly.com/PoshmarkSeries and it is case sensitive (meaning you have to capitalize the P and the S in the link). Good luck!

@styleluxe4less I live right near the post office so that's not a prob but wanted to make sure: $7 shipping is strictly for us to pay to ship the items. Then PM takes 20% from the actual dollar amount we sold the item for?
Sep 17Reply

@cathipham The buyer always pays $7 shipping, and yes Poshmark takes 20% of every order.

What's the cheapest way to ship shoes that end up weighing about 6lbs and below box?????
Sep 19Reply

styleluxe4less
@pocahontasq Hi Justine! For anything weighing more than 3 lbs, you have to contact support@poshmark.com. For anything under, there's a great shoe box on USPS.com that you can order free to your house! I use them all the time.
Sep 19Reply

styleluxe4less
@4sq Honestly, I reShare my items often. If you are familiar with Twitter, this next statement is easier to understand. Remember, when you share something it simply goes into the person's news feed. So, when you search your own news feed, think about how far (many hours) you actually go back. This is different for everyone based on how many people they follow. So, you should share items THROUGHOUT the day so you have a better chance for others to see it in their feeds. And, obviously share your better items more often because then you have a better chance of people clicking on your closet to see what else you got! ;)

@pocahontasq Gotcha, Justine. I'm just a little tired. ;) I took a look at your closet, and you HAVE to get more followers. It's great you now have 9 listings, but only 63 people are seeing them! There are a ton of comments starting right at the top of this post about how to get followers. Do that, and you'll quickly get your first sale! :)
Sep 19Reply

pocahontasq
Exactly! I've just started maybe 2days ago and I read your post so I've been talking to ppl sharing there items following ppl etc. But it's been very slow which is understandable. So I just have to keep pushing making my presence known and building relationships with others ;) thank you for sharing my items as well!! I appreciate it. It means a lot to me!! :)
Sep 19Reply

styleluxe4less
@pocahontasq Yes, but the fastest thing you can do is start following people. I was following more than 10,000 people before I became a suggested user and I had 2,500 people following me back. It makes your feed have a ton of listings, but it really helps you grow your following because most people follow you back. Good luck!

@styleluxe4less I have not read anyone asking this question, so I'm gonna go ahead and do so .. I've only been on Poshmark for a-little less than 2 weeks now and I have not sold an item yet .. Im actually nervous about doing so. When someone purchases an item, how do you know where to send it? And also, how do you collect your earnings? Does it get direct deposited into your account. I would appreciate your time to answer these questions (:
Sep 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@katrinal333 A sale in 1 day? Impressive! I'd have to say you win the Newbie of the Day Award. :) Keep it going!
Sep 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@mrsschoonover You're very welcome! In reference to tracking fraudulent sellers, the best thing to do is check to see who you are buying from. Most of us ask our buyers to leave their comments on the items we sold them right in the original listing, so look in the person's closet to see HOW MUCH they have SOLD, and don't be afraid to click on those SOLD listings to see if customers were satisfied or left any feedback. Don't forget if you really want to know how the buyer felt (& they didn't leave feedback), you can always tag them and ask them about the purchase (You can do this in the buyer's closet or even on a listing in your closet. It doesn't matter WHERE you tag them, but that you tag them. Simply use the (@) sign and type their username.) Just keep in mind you are going to get their most honest opinion if you don't do it right on the listing where they bought the item in the SELLER'S closet. :)
Sep 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@lizzyjohnson & @asmithxx3 I'm going to answer your questions together, because they are very similar. For the most in-depth info on how you get paid, go to my blog article about this. I made a short link to it, so it's just www.bitly.com/howdoigetpaid. As far as what happens when you sell something, I believe that info is above. Basically, Poshmark sends you an email with the shipping label. You print it out and stick it on the package. You can take it to any post office, or I simply leave a note for my mailman and leave packages on my porch. I have a video on how to ship on my blog. I'll add the link to the entire Poshmark series to the bottom of the "How do I Get Paid?" blog post. EVERYTHING is extremely simple once you understand how to do it! Good luck making those first sales. If you LIKE this post, you can come back to it for easy reference. Or better yet, just subscribe to my blog, and you'll always see our posts on how to do just about everything on Poshmark! :)

@styleluxe4less thank you so much. Between you writing here and your blogs, you make poshmark a little more easier to use (; one more question though .. What do you do when the package is over 3 lbs? I know you email poshmark, but what do you say? And what items are usually less then 3 lbs? That way I can get a rough estimate. I'm so sorry if I'm bugging you with all these questions >_<
Sep 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@asmithxx3 Ashley - Most packages weigh 3 lbs or less. You don't have to worry about it unless you sell a bunch of shoes to one person or like in my case, I recently contacted them about it because I know my wedding dress which is for sale in my closet is going to weigh more. They really take it on a case-by-case basis which is why you have to email them if you think your package weighs more and just say that in the email. They will tell you exactly what to do. But again, most packages do NOT weigh too much. I just sent @2many her package and she bought 12 items from me, and it didn't weigh too much. Hope this helps!

@styleluxe4less How do I get my items on the "feed" section?
Sep 21Reply

styleluxe4less
@devinsjules In reference to your question on shipping insurance, I would reach out to support@poshmark.com for the answer. In my opinion, the insurance isn't needed because the package is being tracked, but I cannot comment on if anything were to get damaged in the shipping so I don't steer you in the wrong way. But, hey - when you find out from them, share it with everyone on this listing, because that is something I am sure that people selling high-priced items wants to know!
Sep 21Reply

styleluxe4less
@cathipham To get your items to come in the "Feed", simply SHARE them. The Feed is made up of listings from everyone you follow. So, everyone that follows you will see your listings in their Feed when you list them. And, also when you reShare them, which is why you should share your items often. See posts above with more info on this. :)

Sep 23Reply

styleluxe4less
@danamcclain @dianasilva05 @emd I’m going to answer all 3 of your questions at once, because they all pertain to shipping. I have a video on my blog that covers some of this, so def. check that out by going to my closet and clicking the link in my profile. It takes you right there. Dana – To get help with a shipment over 3 lbs., you need to contact support@poshmark.com. Diana – I know you already contacted them, but I am not sure they are handling support 7 days a week yet, so that’s probably why you haven’t received a response over the weekend. But, hopefully the following info will help you BOTH: I contacted Poshmark recently, because I know when I sell my wedding dress, it is going to be over the 3 lb. limit. Basically, Poshmark kindly asks that users do not list items that are overweight, as they will need to cover the extra cost of shipping when they drop it off at their local post office. If they don't, the package will be returned to the Poshmark office or the buyer will be forced to pay for the extra cost at the time of delivery. When it is a large bundled order, Poshmark advises that the items are listed separately for purchase if it is going to weigh too much so they can be sent out in different packages with their own unique shipping labels.
It is difficult for Poshmark to accommodate packages over 3 lbs. b/c even when a package is under the weight limit, it can cost Poshmark MORE THAN the $7 shipping fee depending on where it is coming from and going. Poshmark cover these extra costs as part of their service to the Poshmark community. It is for this reason that Poshmark does not always generate labels for over 3 lbs. because it is more on a case-by-case basis. With this said, Poshmark does make exceptions for some overweight orders, such as in the case for a wedding dress. (Obviously, because the 20% Poshmark gets to keep off of my wedding dress covers the extra cost of shipping.) But in a case for Diana’s 10 lb. bundle, I actually took a look at the sale. Even though it is 20 pieces, it’s all articles of clothing and lightweight items, so I can’t believe that it would weigh 10 lbs. But, let’s say it does. I just did a calculation using USPS.com, and if I was shipping a 10 lb. package from Tampa, FL to my parents in SC only 2 states away, that package would cost Poshmark $16.85 just for the same type of shipping we use on Poshmark. Hopefully, you can see how this doesn’t make much business sense for Poshmark to encourage this or even allow it. They will probably just ask you to split it into 2 different transactions. Which honestly, I think is totally fair. Probably not the answer you wanted to hear, but I think your package weighs a lot less than 10 lbs. Hope this helps! (I’m creating a video soon showing this shipping info in more detail. Most people on Poshmark are used to FREE shipping on Amazon and other places, but don’t realize that Poshmark isn’t trying to make money off of our shipping. The business model just doesn’t allow for them to cover that cost for free, and it’s totally understandable since they are a new company, and Amazon is a BILLION+ dollar company per year! Elisa – I’m answering your question in the next post. :)
Sep 23Reply

styleluxe4less
@emd Hi Elisa! Definitely watch that shipping video on my blog at www.StyleLuxe4Less.com b/c I cover more on your question. I personally believe you want to turn around and ship the item the next day. So, much more to say on this and how to prepare, etc., but it is all covered in the video that I tell newbies should be watched even BEFORE your first sale, so you are ready! As far as vacation, if you are going to be gone for any length of time, you should create a listing that tells people the dates you won’t be available, and when you will be back by your phone to answer any questions and ship out orders. I’ve seen a lot of listings like this in people’s closet, and sometimes it is when they are out of the country for a while or for some it’s when they are out of town for the weekend. I take a lot of weekend trips, and I don’t put a listing up in those cases, because I know just like on regular weekends when I am home, if anyone orders over the weekend, I always ship it out first thing on Monday. Let me know what you think on the video! I’d love your opinion, Elisa! :)

@asmithxx3 Congrats, Ashley! YES, YES, YES! Just tape the label on the box with regular tape is fine. Make sure it's enough, so the label doesn't come off. And, you're all set! You can take it to any post office or what I do is leave a note in my mailbox, put the red flag up, and leave m packages on the porch. @styleluxe4less Hi Robin~ I've looked everywhere & can't find out how to bundle??? How do I actually put the items together & how does the "Sold" get on there? Do I do it or does PM? Thanks.
Sep 24Reply

eileenr
Hi Robin! Thanks a bunch for doing this! This is very helpful. I've been on Posh for almost a month and even though I've been doing everything you have mentioned, I only have 110 followers...I'm not complaining because I've sold 2 items and have traded 3 times with really great people, but it would be nice to have more followers. Would it be possible for you to share a few of my listings with your followers? Maybe that'll help me :)

@samsd0ll Hi Sim! You didn't say anything wrong! You actually must have commented at the same time I was writing the long responses back to Dana, Diana and Elisa! I think it's AWESOME that you have been sending out so many packages! And, I definitely recommend people taking pics of any imperfections of the items, so you seem to be doing everything RIGHT! :) You'll find that you start relationships with the ones you sell to and the ones you buy from and definitely the honest Poshers (which are most) rise to the top and build relationships and sell more, and all that good stuff! Good luck with your sales! I checked out your closet. Nice stuff!
Sep 25Reply

styleluxe4less
@jmarie374 Here's how to bundle: You should always include a picture of everything in that bundle in the actual listing. And, ask the same of anyone preparing a bundle for you. It guarantees everyone's expectations are the same and leaves a much less chance for error. You can use several 3rd party apps to help with bundle photos. I use PicFrame for combining multiple photos for bundles. It's .99 and is available for iPad or iPhone. But, no worries. It can also be done by just adding photos like normal. I typically leave all of the original listings up and just change the title to start with SOLD. I also add 2 zeros, so that no one else can buy the item. And, I just change out the first picture in one of the listings to the new BUNDLE photo I created in PicFrame. Then, add the bundle price, and Voila. Your buyer can purchase the bundle. There are a ton of examples in my closet, so check it out. Oh, and the SOLD automatically appears after your buyer enters their credit card information.

@eileenr You are doing a lot of things right! But, you’re missing the most important factor in selling items – getting more followers! Right now, you only have 112 people following you. To put this in perspective, this means out of the nearly 100,000 people on Poshmark, only 112 of them are seeing when you post something to your closet. Change this number and increase your sales. People will share your listings more, suggest you to friends, etc. These can be a bit time-consuming in the beginning, but well worth it when it makes you sell a lot more items. Hope this helps! Make sure you LIKE this listing, and you will have easy access to reference back to it when needed. :)

Now I'm telling my buyer what the post office said, she doesn't believe me because they never gave her a problem 😒😒I guess I'm gona have to put it on the box prior and just drop it off??? ... Sep 26Reply

phatgurl22
I don't have pay pal and not quite ready to do... So, I mean I wana mak a purchse and I want to do it an easier way. Or is it not an easier way..
Sep 26Reply

styleluxe4less
@samsd0ll I have never tried to ship perfume on Poshmark or anywhere else for that matter, so my advice would be to reach out to Poshmark support and ask them directly. What I do know is that Poshmark only allows Women's clothing and accessories on the site, so I am guessing that selling perfume is not supported. Let everyone on this post know when you find out. And, good luck getting to the bottom of this issue quickly.
Sep 26Reply

styleluxe4less
@phatgurl22 Hi Gabriella! The ONLY way to pay for your Poshmark purchases is right through the site. You don't need PayPal, and in fact, if someone asks you to purchase something on PayPal or through email or anywhere else for that matter, you should not. If something happens where your items come not a's described or if they never come at all, there is nothing Poshmark can do for you, because you did not play by the rule. Now back to paying on Poshmark, it's really quick and easy. You put in your credit card one time, and you just click Buy Now from then on and confirm the price plus shipping and you're right back to shopping. :)
Sep 26Reply

phatgurl22

I didn't think it's against the rules to announce and promote to new ppl some good closets.. Sorry and I won't bother u again
Sep 27Reply

styleluxe4less
@samsd0ll No worries. Thanks for understanding. There aren't obviously "rules" against you posting comments in someone else's closet, but just to put a few things in perspective for you - 1) If the 130 people that have liked this post so far decided to post two times about other people closets like you did, that would be 260 misplaced comments and the post would become about good Poshers and not about understanding Poshmark. 2) Your two comments would be equivalent to me coming to your closet and commenting on one of your listings promoting two other Poshers and their closets. I put a lot of time into trying to help others that are new to Poshmark. I'm not paid in any way. I hope you aren't taking this feedback in the wrong way, because that is not the way it is intended.

Hey so I'm not sure if this question was asked, but i read through a few things and I must say youre very helpful, so I was wondering when you sell an item (I just sold my first item) how do you get that money that youve earned? I can only use it on Poshmark or soemthing, because if so... I kinda don't see the purpose of continuing it. Like do they send a check or do they direct deposit it? Oct 03Reply

styleluxe4less
@regine Hi Edna! Yes, you definitely need to start following a ton more people and most will follow you back. There are more than 105,000 users on Poshmark now, so get some more followers and that will mean more eyes on your closet which typically translates to more $$$$! Good luck!

@skybluepink Gorgeous closet, PJ! Your listings aren't selling because you only have 150 eyes on them out of 105,000+ users. There's info on how to get more followers above, as well as how to list to parties (simply click on the item during the 2-hour party and click Share. It gives you the option to add it to the party.) and tons more info if you just read all of the above comments or go to my blog by clicking the link in my profile and there is an entire series just on Poshmark.

Oct 03Reply

cathipham
Is it normal to have bought something 7 days ago & the status is still "in process"? I tagged her but nothing yet. Will she get paid if I don't get my order?? 😔
Oct 03Reply

styleluxe4less
@regine Hi Edna! Yeah, you have to be able to print the label. I'm not sure you live, but you can typically find inexpensive printers at Office Depot now for less than $50! You can also try Craigslist for used ones in your area. If neither of those options work, I would suggest using your office printer, a library or even going by FedEx Kinko's and printing it out there. Some of that seems like a real inconvenience so I think your best bet is using one at work or buying a cheap printer.
Oct 05Reply

styleluxe4less
@cathipham Hi Cathi! I hope you have resolved your issue now! No, the seller won't get paid if you don't receive the items. The seller is supposed to ship it right away. Sometimes depending on where it was shipped it can take a while, but you certainly should have received it by now. Let me know when you get it, and definitely reach out to support for more help!

How do you add items to parties?
Oct 06Reply

styleluxe4less
@lyangco That's actually answered in the 14th comment above, but since I am on my computer I can copy and paste it for you. To add your items to a party, it has to be during the 2 hours that the party is taking place. You simply click the Share button under the listing and then click the button to Share to the party. And, there are 2 parties every day. It's really simple. Let me know if you still have questions!
Oct 06Reply

styleluxe4less
@hollen Thanks, Holly! Glad it is useful for you. I like the 4 items you have listed in your closet! They're NICE! Definitely start following a ton more people (especially ones that have the same designers as you, same shoe size as you, same taste as you) and when you get your follower count up, more eyes are looking at your items, and you'll sell more. And, definitely post more items to your closet, cause I like what I'm seeing so far! :)

Oct 07Reply

styleluxe4less
@glamourosity I joke that that's the million dollar question, Ninoshka. I have answered this one a few times, but here are some suggestions for you after looking at your closet: 1) The most important factor in selling items – getting more followers! Right now, you onlyl have 11 people following you. To put this in perspective, this means out of the 110,000+ people on Poshmark, only 11 of them are seeing when you post something to your closet. Change this number and increase your sales. There are a couple I ways to do this. a) Start following more people. Most of them will follow you back. b) Add items to parties every chance you get. It will expose your listings to people that aren't already following you. c) Share people's listings, especially people that have a ton of followers. They return the favor most of the time and share your listings with their large number of followers, exposing your listings to new people who may in turn follow you. d) Build relationships with others, buyers and the general Poshmark community. People will share your listings more, suggest you to friends, etc. These can be a bit time-consuming in the beginning, but well worth it when it makes you sell a lot more items. Hope this helps! Make sure you LIKE this listing, and you will have easy access to reference back to it when needed. :) 2) Add more listings. Right now, you have 2, so adding more items is going to give people more of a selection to choose from as well as encourage them to bundle more than one item together to save on shipping. For more tips, check out my blog StyleLuxe4Less.com. We have an entire Poshmark series of posts.

@saammymadrigal Hi Samantha! I'm really confused. I looked at the purchase you're talking about. Why would the buyer have to communicate with you? She bought the item. You commented in the listing and told her you would ship out tomorrow. There's nothing for her to say back to you. It's completely normal that she didn't respond. Ship out the item she purchased on Tuesday (mail doesn't run tomorrow since it's Columbus Day). I understand that a lot of times buyers comment after they've purchased something, but I have had several buyers purchase items without commenting.

@styleluxe4less hi Robin, hope your posh party went well last night - looks like there were lots of listings ...
quick question: where can some one find a mannequin at a reasonae price ?... also, do you think having one improves sales?
Oct 10Reply

styleluxe4less
@4sq Hi Susie! The party went well. Thanks for asking. You can find affordable mannequins at the store Home Goods. I got mine for $59 which I hear is much cheaper than they are online. Also, I definitely think it improves sales! I find myself buying more when the clothing is on a mannequin (or modeled). I understand this isn't an option for everyone. If you can't get access to a mannequin, make sure you display it neatly, preferably against a solid, light background if it's dark or vice versa if it's light.
Oct 10Reply

styleluxe4less
@cathipham I am not sure I understand your question. Let's figure this out on another listing. :)
Oct 10Reply

@styleluxe4less you seem to be the go to lady and I have a question I can't seem to get an answer about and Posh hasn't gotten back to me! Here goes. Last Friday I purchased a 2 handbags bundled that had been reserved for someone else. I guess that sell fell through! Anyway, after the seller adjusted it for me I hit BUY NOW. On the status it read In Process. Then on Tuesday I went back to the status to see had it been shipped, and status reads cancelled! What happened? Am I still gonna be billed for it and what steps do I need to take? I contacted the seller, no response! Contacted Posh, they said they'd contact me. Still waiting. I don't mind if I don't get the bags, but shouldn't I have been notified of the change? Any help is appreciated! Thank-you @jax12

@styleluxe4less thanks Robin, I did check my local Home Goods store and they referred me to Michael's and they didn't have anything ... so I'll maybe look on the internet , so at least now I have a price reference - thank you ... another question , a lady bought a brown dress and posted that she had received it but it doesn't fit - it was too large ... I apologized and suggested a tailor ... she didn't ask me ant questions or for measurements, she just bought no questions asked ... so what would your recommendation be ?
Oct 10Reply

@styleluxe4less hey, I checked the closet of the buyer of that dress and she has it listed , do I guess it's all good ?
Oct 10Reply

styleluxe4less
@jaxt24 Hi Jacki! Not sure when you first contacted Poshmark, but I think you should just wait to hear back from them. I am not sure I completely understand your situation. The ability to allow a seller to cancel the order just came with the last app update. If they cancelled the order, you will not be charged. When I cancelled an order upon someone's request, both the seller and I received an email and a notification in the app. I am sure Poshmark will rectify the situation for you, and you definitely will not be charged for any purses you do not receive.
Oct 10Reply

styleluxe4less
@4sq If she now has it listed in her closet to sell, I think it's all good. Poshmark clearly has a "no return" policy, so buyers should be aware of their size for different brands or have asked measurements or even questions on any item they want to make sure it fits. :)

You are amazingly dedicated to the Poshmark organization. You deserve to be recognized for the time and effort you have put into trying to help grow the business. Posh is crazy if they don't scoop you up and utilize your gift of fashion and ability to connect with the customers. Kudos to you and your dedication to the project!

@marlene07 Hi Marlene! Somehow I missed your question. If you sell something to a person and they don't "accept" it in the app, it automatically gets accepted after 3 days, unless the person has actually contacted support that the item was not received as described. If the item really isn't as described, Poshmark makes the buyer submit pictures showing what is wrong withe the item. Hope this helps!

@phatgurl22 Thanks for your thoughtful remarks! OK, I am trying to figure out your question. I think you are asking about Victoria's Secret listings, and I think you are saying you want to get back there to see the listings. I don't believe this was a party. There are a couple of ways to see all of the listings for VS (or any designer for that matter). Click Feed. Click magnifying glass in top right. In the Search bar, type Victoria's Secret and click Search. It will bring up all of the related listings. NOW (this is GOOD) - Once you click on one of them, and they have made the Designer Victoria's Secret (and it's in BLUE), you can Click the name of the designer in blue, and it will take you to ALL of the other listings where people have listed the designer as Victoria's Secret. (Hint: You can also do this same thing when looking for shoes or dresses for example in a certain size. When you see a listing with say a size small dress, you can click the BLUE Dress icon beside the size, and it will take you to ALL of the other dresses in small, for example.) Hope this helps, Gabriella! :)

@ashleyrene1986 About shipping – You don’t put any postage on the box when you ship it. You only need the label that Poshmark sends you via email when you sell an item. The buyer pays for the shipping after they hit Buy Now from your closet, and NO you don’t include shipping in your price. That is always an additional charge and it’s $7 as long as your package weighs less than 3 pounds (most do). Get some items listed now in your closet, so you can start selling some stuff and making some extra money! Good luck!
Oct 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@emd I ask my buyers to post feedback on the same listing they purchased from. I think this is the best place to see buyer feedback. That way, potential buyers can just scroll down in a person’s closet until you see the red SOLD banners and look for comments from the buyers. As far as your question on sending the wrong item to a buyer, I am sure people have accidentally done that before. Have you rectified this situation yet? :)
Oct 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@ronda68 Of course, you would expect that anyone selling you a used item has washed it before sending it to you! As for the note you received from your post office with postage due on a pkg from a seller, you should notify support. Sellers are NOT supposed to send items weighing over 3 lbs., as they are not covered in the original shipping label that Poshmark sends you. When this occurs before the items are shipped, it is very easy to discuss between the buyer and sender to determine who should pay the extra cost, and if the shipment should be divided into two shipping labels and who would pay for it.
Oct 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@fizz Hi Carly! Getting paid is very easy. You DO NOT need to set up PayPal, and should never use PayPal to buy or sell an item from Poshmark. Poshmark has its own payment system, so your buyers will purchase from your closet, and then after you send it and they “accept” it, the money is yours to do what you want with it: get a check, get it deposited into a bank account, or spend it on Poshmark! There’s a lot more info on this on my blog. It’s the first post if you go to www.bitly.com/PoshmarkSeries.

@kellycambo Hi Kelly! Don’t overwhelm yourself by trying to understand too much info at once. First, make sure you know how to LIST an item and do that. When you do that, you will see a button that says SHARE. It’s really simple. Then, go from there. Trying to do too much at once will make it much harder. I promise once you list your item, you will see how easy it is to share the item with your followers. :)

@crayolaeater Shipping actually ISN’T too expensive. I understand why you might think that if you are just shipping one small piece of jewelry though. I did a calculation using USPS.com, and if I was shipping a 3 lb. package from Tampa, FL to my parents in SC only 2 states away, that package would cost Poshmark between $5.35 - $15.45 depending on what size Flat Rate box was used and between $5.66 - $22.66 depending on what size Regional Rate box was used. And, that’s JUST 2 STATES AWAY from me! I understand that many of the online companies now offer FREE shipping, but you have to remember places like Amazon.com do billions (with a B) per year, and the merchandise typically comes from the same place unlike Poshmark where we are shipping from our houses to other houses. Poshmark actually covers the extra cost for shipping A LOT of the time for people just to keep shipping down. I just did a calculation from me to California and a package weighing 1 pound (like your jewelry) would still cost $9.62 in the smallest Regional Rate box.

@monica_mariee Hi Monica. Welcome to Poshmark! To add your items to a party, it has to be during the 2 hours that the party is taking place. You simply click the Share button under the listing and then click the button to Share to the party. And, there are 2 parties every day. It's really simple. Let me know if you still have questions!
Oct 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@ majorsmomma Thanks so much for your condolences! To add your items to a party, it has to be during the 2 hours that the party is taking place and it has to be done from your phone. You simply click the Share button under the listing and then click the button to Share to the party. And, there are 2 parties every day. It's really simple. Replica and fake items are NOT allowed on Poshmark and are being taken down, but that doesn’t stop people from trying to list them every day. The best thing you can do when you see a fake item is click the icon in the top right from the listing and Report the Item. You can also report items that are not allowed, offensive items, spam and harassment. As far as your question on Poshmark taking care of everything after you sell it, I’m not sure exactly what you are asking. You receive the shipping label, and then you have to box it, attach the pre-paid label and put it in the mail. For more on this, watch the video I did on shipping at bitly.com/PoshmarkShipping.
Oct 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@majorsmomma Hi Mignon! I answered your question right above. :)
Oct 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@ylimes Hi Emily! I have answered this one a few times, but here are some suggestions for you after looking at your closet: 1) The most important factor in selling items – getting more followers! Right now, you only have 25 or so people following you. To put this in perspective, this means out of the 130,000+ people on Poshmark, only 25 of them are seeing when you post something to your closet. Right now, you have 3, so adding more items is going to give people more of a selection to choose from as well as encourage them to bundle more than one item together to save on shipping. For more tips, check out my blog StyleLuxe4Less.com. We have an entire Poshmark series of posts that you can find at bitly.com/PoshmarkSeries.

@natvpbgal Here's the listing that will help you, Carolyn!
Oct 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@indulgencandi Hi Candice! To purchase an item, you just click the Buy Now button on the listing. You don’t “accept” the item until receiving it from the buyer, so the buyer does not get paid until after you receive it. If there is anything wrong with it or it is not as described, you report it instead of accepting it. You would get your money back if someone never sent an item or if it showed up unlike it was described. Poshmark is very good about taking care of the buyers!
Oct 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@katjo Thanks for your kind words, Kathy! Let me know if you have any questions. Definitely start following more people and add more listings, and you will be on your way to making your first sale! Welcome to Poshmark! :)
Oct 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@ingwhit Hi Ingrid! I think this is a personal preference, but personally I actually can’t stand when I like an item and 2 seconds later the person is asking me if I’m interested in buying it. If I was ready to buy it, I would have hit the Buy Now button! LOL The only time I would respond right away is if I have some type of promotion or sale going on and I have something of value to add. Otherwise, I periodically go back through my listings and mention people in the listing they have liked and ask if they are still interested. As a buyer, I like that reminder a few days or weeks later. But, we all have to keep in mind that 90% of people download the app to sell things, not buy them. Hope this helps!
Oct 20Reply

styleluxe4less
@kellycambo Thanks for the nice words! There's no need to tag me in my own listing. I always get notifications when people comment in MY closet. You have to tag someone when you are in your own closet or in anyone else's closet besides theirs. And to tag, you just add the @ symbol before their name and type their username right after. You have a great listing as well! Now that I am done responding to everyone, I have a million new items to post! :)

Is that correct thanks again your new name @styleluxe4less/GURU

@allizzonn Here you go, Rosie! Welcome to Poshmark!
Oct 21Reply

styleluxe4less
@hippy89 Hi Tammy! OK, I took a closer look in your closet at exactly what happened and I certainly understand your frustration as putting together a bundle for someone can be time-consuming. I know I still don’t have all of the information, but let me try to give you some pointers so this doesn’t happen again. 1) Make sure both people agree to what’s in the bundle and the price of the bundle before even creating a new listing. (Bundle info above in the comments on these dates: 9/5, 9/10, 9/21, 9/25, 9/29) 2) After you have established EXACTLY what is in the bundle and the buyer has agreed on a price, THEN create a photo with ALL of the items in it. (This protects both the buyer and the seller by making sure everyone understands exactly what is included.) You can use the apps PicFrame or InstaCollage for this. (More info above) 3) If this bundle is so large that it’s going to require shipping twice, make sure the buyer agrees on paying $7 shipping twice = $14. Then, you need 2 separate listings, so you get 2 different shipping labels when the buyer purchases the bundles. 4) Don’t package anything up until after you receive an email from Poshmark with the shipping label. By the sound of your comments on that listing, you had already wrapped the items and boxed them before the bundle was purchased. 5) Be patient. Not everyone has Poshmark notifications where the phone makes an audible noise like a text. Only a couple of hours had passed while you were waiting for the buyer to respond, and in the meantime, it looked like it had already upset you. 6) Never delete your listings before the purchase. I don’t even delete my listings after the purchase. I want future buyers to see the items that I have already sold. I simply add SOLD to the beginning of the description of the listings and add 2 zeros to the price, so no one attempts to buy it. Next time, this will hopefully keep you from so much stress in selling a lot of items at once, if you make sure #1 is done before moving forward. Hope this helps! I understand your frustration. At the end of the day, you have to treat this as your “store” and the customer is always right. Which means, try to keep your cool and give the best customer service you can. You can always block her by clicking on her profile, clicking the icon in top right and choosing Block User. :)

styleluxe4less
@natvpbgalI Don’t feel silly. I know that answer is already above, so just read all of the other comments, and I bet it will tell you everything you need to know. You are basically right though, a bundle is 2 or more items from the same person’s closet. You save on shipping and most sellers will also give you an additional discount of at least 10% or more.

Oct 21Reply

styleluxe4less
@majorsmomma I want to make sure you saw I answered your question, but I just had a typo in your username. About the payment, you have that confused. The buyer pays right away, and you should ship right away. The buyer gets to receive the item and say that the item is As Described (meaning it’s exactly like the listing). Then, once the buyer does that, the money gets released to you. And, then you have the rest right. :)

@hopewith Hi Hope! I believe Poshmark will give you and your referral a one-time credit if you email support. Make sure you include your username, your friend's username and the date they signed up (and it has to be right away). From now on, make sure your friends know to put the code in on the first page when they sign up. You can get up to $50 in referral credits! :)

Oct 27Reply

styleluxe4less
@brittyislovely Hi Brittany! No, the buyer pays $7 shipping on top of whatever they pay to you. Look at the top of this post in the second picture and under Shipping there are several dates where info on all things Shipping have been covered in the comments. Also, I have a Shipping video that you should watch BEFORE your first sale. I'll tag you in the listing, but there's more about the video above, too. Good luck making your first sale!

@mamavoom Hi Nix! Swapping or trading, as we call it on Poshmark, is not recommended. Poshmark cannot help you if your item shows up different than described or never shows up at all. I'll tag you in a listing I have in my closet that links to a post I did on trading.

How can i get followers, and I'm very desperate to make my first sell. Any tips
Oct 27Reply

styleluxe4less
@lms_401 Lisa, you are off to a great start with following people! But, there are SO many more to follow. (At the beginning, I was following 10,000 and had 2,500 people following me back.) Another tip is to search by your size, and then follow all of those people that have items listed in the same size…. Congrats on selling your first bundle! Sometimes people are on Poshmark a while before ever even listing anything. After looking at your closet, I don’t think your prices overall are too high. There are a couple of items here and there that you’ll probably have to come down a little on in order to sell, but that;s no big deal. If people are interested in your items, they will start a conversation. Looks like the big thing is getting more followers. Poshmark now has well over 100,000 users, and right now only 340 of them are seeing your items. As far as your question on the tons of women with 0 listings – I would definitely consider them as buyers! It could be your strategy to follow them so they follow you back. Many of them are just brand new, so they are seeing what the whole Poshmark thing is all about. They are perfect people to follow! Hope this helps! (And, you know where to find me if you have more questions!) Make it a goal to have 1,000 followers by a certain time, and 2,000 followers by a certain time, and you’ll be selling a ton more in no time! :)
Oct 27Reply

styleluxe4less
@jessicayflores Hi Jessica! You are welcome! :) As far as “free” shipping – you are right, everyone does have to pay shipping. When a seller tells you they will offer you free shipping, it basically means they will take $7 off of the price and save you, the buyer, the cost of shipping. You still techinically pay for shipping at checkout, but the buyer reducing the price essentially means they covered the cost of shipping for you!
Oct 27Reply

styleluxe4less
@yohanyelin Hi Yohanyelin! There is a ton of info above on Followers. That was actually the first question I was EVER asked when I started this post! Use the guide in the 2nd pic to show you on what days “Followers” was discussed in the comments and read all of them to get more followers and make your first sale! If you are desperate, read ALL of the comments and also read the Frequently Asked Questions that can be found under My Account. Good luck!

Hi Robin! 😄First let me start by saying thank you so much!!!! I spent hours today reading every single question and answer & being new it has helped a lot! I literally just started my closet Monday, I downloaded the app a while back but never took the time to look at it & now I am excited and patiently waiting my first sale! I do have a 3 questions, first I have a lot of jewelry to list when I send that to the customer does it need to be in a box or is a bubble envelope ok? I mail ppl jewelry all over the country now in them but seen a lot of talk about boxes. Sry that maybe a silly ? As it might not matter but figured I would ask. Second I see where you were talking about responding to people who like your post. I understand what you were saying about not asking them right away but then I also saw where you said sometimes you like the reminder. I've received a lot of likes since Monday but i have not asked ppl if they were interested? Do you recommend that I do ask everyone a day or two after they like or not saying anything at all? Just not sure what is normal? Third, when pricing your items should you price a little higher to leave room for negotiating & if you don't know original price is it acceptable to put $0? Thank you so much for your time and I am sorry for the loss of your grandfather 😥

Hi! Is there a way to rearrange your closet without sharing the item to move it? I would like all my sold items to be at the end of my listings and put all my shoes together, then purses etc. I can only move a listing if I share it, can that be skipped since I'm only rearranging? Hope that makes sense!

Hello. I'm new to poshmark myself and wanted to know some answers. 1) how do I use the credit that I received from inviting friends? 2)when someone pay for the item, does the money you recieve goes directly to your credit card/debit card? 3) if not towards your card, how do you withdraw the payment from your posh account? 4) I've seen people askin about PayPal, if they pay through PayPal does posh still take 20% from the item you just sold? 5) do we get a note saying when to ship our product to the customer after waiting if the payment is cleared? And 6) Is the $7 flat rate shippig already included with the 20% taken from the seller? I'm sorry, a lot of my questions have probably been answered. I'm new to this and I'm glad I came across this app. I've actually invited 3 people already and they love it as we'll. thank you.

How do you redeem your cash?
Oct 31Reply

styleluxe4less
@maciiel09 Hi Maciel! You should be getting your referral credit as SOON as they are signing up. Make sure you have the code correct. There is a limit of 10 referrals ($50 credit), so if you already have been given that, your friends will receive the credit, but you won’t because you have reached the maximum. If this is not the case, you should reach out to support. Include the usernames of your friends, the code they used to get the referral credit, and Poshmark can easily look up the information and see why it’s not giving you the credit.
Oct 31Reply

styleluxe4less
@ingwhit Hi Ingrid! You asked for some advice on getting your sales up. I checked out your closet, and you are off to a GREAT start! You have 75 listings, and it looks like you have made a good amount of sales. You have great items! One thing I noticed was a listing for pants where the full pair of pants was never shown. You want to make sure to always include the top and bottom of the pants in at least one photo. Other things (which you may be doing) are sharing listings often and sharing listings in relevant parties. The last thing I would say is start following a ton more people. Most will follow you back and each new follower is another set of eyes on your closet. I was following 10,000 people to get 2,500 to follow me back in the beginning. Try for that, and see your sales increase. :)
Oct 31Reply

styleluxe4less
@lms_401 You are welcome, Lisa! When I think about bundling discounts, I base it on the number of items they are bundling, the condition of the items, etc. I see some people say $2 off of 2 items, $3 off of 3 items, but I don’t really see that as enough of a discount. I usually discount way more than that. I have a lot of nicer, higher priced items in my closet, so I also look at the amount a person is spending. Another thing I do is share with them the retail of those items, so for example, I said recently to someone – The retail of the 7 items (all accessories) is $112. They are listed in my closet for $70. I’ll take an additional $10 off, so the 7 items would be $60. And, 6 of the 7 items are BRAND NEW….. Lisa, If you want to tag me in the listing where this happened, I’m happy to take a look at it when I get a chance. Hope this helps!

@sassysarah Hi, Sarah! About your jewelry question – You should watch the video I did on Shipping at www.bitly.com/PoshmarkShipping. I personally think there is never a reason to ever ship in a padded envelope when you can get the shipping boxes sent to your house for FREE. I received 2 items in envelopes. The first was TERRIBLY wrinkled and it was a St. John Knit dress which retails for $800, and the second was 2 shirts that the envelope was soaking wet and the shirts were mildewed. Poshmark allows shipping in envelopes, but since there is no cost to the buyer or seller, I think you should be safe and always use a box. They have small accessories boxes, too. Answering your other questions now.
Oct 31Reply

styleluxe4less
@sassysarah About your question on responding to people’s likes – There is no “normal” answer here. Only personal preference, and I know you read my personal preference already. If you are referring to people that have liked your items since Monday, meaning two days ago, sure if you want, you can reach out to them now asking. But, I personally wait a little longer than that. I typically just go through the listings occasionally and ask at random. What if you go through your listings, and ask all of the people at once. That way, there is a little competition in who is going to get the item first…. :)
Oct 31Reply

styleluxe4less
@sassysarah About pricing – If you don’t remember the original price, it is completely acceptable to put $0. Or, you can just estimate what it was, based on other like items from that same store. Either works. It’s more to help the buyer understand the brand and cost of the item if it is not a recognizable designer. As for pricing higher, you can do whatever works for you. I personally don’t want to keep commenting back and forth with someone like this is a flea market. (Most the time this gets started from people on the app that have) listings, and DON’T UNDERSTAND the time it takes to take photos, list the item, package the item and ship the item.) At the end of the day, do whatever works for you. You will continue learning from your sales and other Poshers and tweak everything until it works for YOU! :)
Oct 31Reply

styleluxe4less
@katjo Hi, Kathy! Your question does make sense. After all, my closet is completely color-coordinated! LOL There is NOT a way to rearrange your closet without sharing the item. If you want all of your SOLD items at the bottom, you re-share the items below that listing. (You should re-share your items OFTEN anyway.)
Oct 31Reply

styleluxe4less
hillary16 Hi Hillary! If you are very new, you will want to read the Frequently Asked Questions under My Account in the app (Click your username on the far right side at the bottom of the main screen). pcesss Hi! Your questions are already answered above. Just use the 2nd picture above as a guide to which topics were covered on what days in the comments. If you go to the Poshmark Series on my blog, that will help you out a lot as well. The first post is “How do I get paid?” Just go to www.bitly.com/PoshmarkSeries. DON’T use PayPal. It’s against the rules and there’s a million things wrong with it. And, the shipping is paid by the buyer and has nothing to do with the 20% Poshmark gets from the listing price of your item. Welcome to Poshmark, Princess.:)

Hey love. How do u complete a transaction on PayPal? And is there anyway of sharing your WHOLE closet at once? I don't have a lot of items but I don't like the fact that I have to share each item one by one 😒

I tried to share leather boots with the cold weather accessory party but was denied! Yet I see other boots BELTS and non cold weather items. EVERY party I've attended has items that do NOT fit the theme. What gives?

Hi there! I'm sorry to ask this question if you've already answered it, but there's a lot of questions to read through. Quite frankly, I think you deserve a medal or something for answering them all;). And...I'm about to ask you another...
I've been in Posh for about 2 mos now, have sold a handful of things. Personally I think it's great, I've done almost nothing and made almost $300 selling things I don't use. But what confuses me us the follower idea. Maybe there's something I'm missing, but I don't get notified if someone im following lists a new item. As far as I can tell, I can't search the people I'm following either. Personally, I use this site to shop too and the search functions are narrow. Again, maybe I'm missing something, but following and followers seem to have no meaning other than gathering numbers that are not searchable. Am I wrong?

Wow! Super helpful tips and insight! If you don't already have it, I also maximize my "poshing" with the USPS app! As soon as a sale is made, I can use that app to schedule a pick up. I've also ordered boxes from the app so technically I don't even have to leave my house. Poshmark is yet another reason why I love my iPhone!!!! :D anyway thanks for this priceless info!

Hey robin not a really newbie question but more like an ethical question that I'd appreciate your feedback on...I had sold 2 things here and the buyer relisted them for more than double the amount she bought for and she lied about the condition and where she got it from etc. should I just not say anything? I kinda want to warn potential buyers but also don't want to be involved in any dramas haha. Thoughts? Thanks :)
Dec 02Reply

styleluxe4less
@junk4dwi I would contact support@poshmark.com immediately and explain what the seller is doing. They don't take fraud lightly, and that's what this person is doing. Include as much information as you can, such as the web address to the listing. You can find this by logging in through the website and locating the listing.
Dec 02Reply

junk4dwi
Thanks robin she bought both things for $34 and now separately listing for $70 and $150!! Not sure how support will be since One of the things is an inspired LV wallet sold it to her for like $7 it has damages but on her listing she didn't specify them.
Dec 02Reply

styleluxe4less
@junk4dwi They will still want to know. Heck, I want to know who it is. Poshmark will def. handle the situation if they know about it. So, just email them the details and tell them you are trying to keep anyone from getting ripped off. They will overlook you selling that replica. They are cracking down on that now though, so don't sell any more. :)
Dec 02Reply

junk4dwi
Thanks again. I only have 2 and sold them already those were gifts and I don't use them so I just want to get rid of them. :) let me think about this situation. It's not about the $$ for me but its just being ethical and keep PM as a friendly and comfortable environment. I wouldn't want fellow pm users to pay that much more.

Dec 05Reply

jessicayflores
Good morning. I know you have previously showcased other members' closet in your feed before. I'm writing to see if you could do the same for me? I'm a working Queens mom who is trying to raise some money to help my mom pay for repairs to her house after Hurricane Sandy. Any help promoting my closet would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Dec 05Reply

styleluxe4less
@myred Thanks for keeping in touch with me. Imagine my surprise when I just clicked on your closet and saw over 2,000 followers! Oh, and I started following you, too! Great job! I am going to write a blog post on the importance of getting new followers, so I'll make sure to tag you in it. I may even use you as an example. ;)
Dec 06Reply

styleluxe4less
@kellymags Hi Kelly! Awesome that you are selling some things, but having more followers will definitely make you sell more. So, here’s how that works: In your Feed are items the people you are FollowING are listing or Sharing from someone else’s closet or reSharing from their own closet. That is all. So, the only people that see when you list items or reShare them from your own closet are the people following you/your FollowERS. That means, if you have 100 followers, when you list an item or reShare it (which you should do often), it goes in the Feed of those 100 people in real time. If you have 1,000 followers, that’s 900 additional sets of eyes on your listings, and hence more sales, typically. (Of course, sharing them in a party allows more people to see them.) Now, on to your search question. You can search brands, sizes, types of items, etc. by clicking on Feed and then pressing the magnifying glass on the top left. On a listing, you can also click on a brand or size, and it takes you to all of the other items like that. You can’t search for items within your existing followers, but rather Poshmark wide. Hope this helps!
Dec 06Reply

styleluxe4less
@regine In reference to your cold weather party question, I think you should share your posh party concerns with Poshmark at support@poshmark.com. I know they have added more parties and have other cool Posh Party plans in the works!
Dec 06Reply

styleluxe4less
@lilacrose I didn’t know there was a USPS app! I will definitely have to look into that. I have a shipping video on YouTube where I explain to people how to order the free boxes, etc., and my mailman picks them up off of my porch, so I don’t have to schedule a pickup. But, I’m still interested to see what the app is like. Thanks for sharing that information! Oh, and about your question regarding suggesting a party theme or brands/designers to feature, you can email Poshmark and suggest them. hello@poshmark.com
Dec 06Reply

styleluxe4less
@paolaa_ You may have figured this out already, but it typically takes a week or less for your packages to arrive. It all depends on how far you live away from the buyer and how quickly they ship after you purchase. I ship next day, so my customers usually get items within 3 or 4 days, but some sellers take a little longer to get things shipped out.
Dec 06Reply

styleluxe4less
@mmckee Yes! You can search for items in your size two ways. The best way to look for a pair of shoes in your size is to click on Feed, then the magnifying glass. Click Shoes. Then, click Filter. Choose your size. And Voila!

styleluxe4less
@erikayua A lot of the users who have been on Poshmark a while have had that many people just click on their name to follow them without even taking a look at their closet. That’s probably how that use has so many followers. They could just have a really awesome closet, but not care to follow anyone because they aren’t on Poshmark to buy. You get to a higher number A LOT quicker when you are willing to follow more users. Otherwise, how are people supposed to see your amazing listings??? :)

@tylercole4u Good question, that I may not have the correct answer to!:(. I believe you put in your code before you pay, but I'm going to give you over to @gordomom and see if she can elaborate! Hey Michelle, how do Poshers and their customers get their $5 code $? I've never done it, so I don't know! Do you?
Dec 08Reply

gordomom
@mswhite56 @tylercole4u Sorry, I haven't used the code either. Perhaps they credit to your account once the people you referred make a purchase? Sorry I'm no help on this one. Definitely tag me if you find out so that I know in case someone asks me in the future :) Welcome to Pmark Brehana! Such a cute ID photo!!
Dec 08Reply

styleluxe4less
@tylercole4u @mswhite56 @gordomom Here's how it works: when friends use your referral code on the very first screen when they are creating their username, you both get a $5 credit. It happens immediately. It shows up as a notification in your newsfeed (or at least it used to). You can add up to $50 in credits by having $10 new people do this. After that, your code will still give new friends that sign up the $5 credit but you won't get anything. How to use them/ find them: when you click on My Balance, it shows Credits first (any existing referral credits show up here), then it shows Pending (this is amount for any sales that haven't been accepted yet), and last it shows Redeemable (the amount here can be deposited into your bank account whenever ready). Now, if you don't have credits you think you should have, you can email support@poshmark.com. Include your friends username and what day they signed up if you now it. They may give you a one-time credit, but make sure to tell everyone else how to correctly enter the code on the first screen. :)

Hi. I put up more pics of black dress. So when I want to respond to your post do I press comment under mine or do I go under you in your closet?? Thanks
Jan 03Reply

@tracybruce1 You press comment and then you just have to make sure to "tag" me in the comment, so it shows up in my notifications. So, you would click comment right where I asked you the question. Then, type @styleluxe4less (it should come up right when you start typing the "s"). And, then leave your comment. You just don't have to tag someone when you are in their closet. Only when they are in yours or when you are in another person and want to tag someone else.

@styleluxe4less hey,I've got a quick question for you. I made my first two sales in the last 48 hr and am shipping them out tomorrow and then was going to delete the listings after I received confirmation that the buyers got their purchases. However, I've noticed that almost everyone leaves sold items in their closets. Is there a reason to do that or is it just personal preference?
Jan 17Reply

naysa71
@jade0427 This post has great information about PM. I hope this helps. She also has another post in her closet about trading. Good luck! 😃
Jan 17Reply

styleluxe4less
@shipahoyster Hi Stephanie! You can't even delete it until after the buyer receives and says it was "As Described". The reason you should leave them is so people can see that you have sales (& hopefully satisfied customers). Plus, those listings can still come up in searches and people can did over your. closet that way. There's really not one reason why I could think of to delete them! 😃 Congrats on your first sales! @styleluxe4less - hi, I just noticed your info. I tried looking up your blog on trading, but can't find it for some reason. I'm just curious as to why you don't think it's a good idea. I can understand posh not liking it, because they don't get the 20%. But wondering why you think it's a bad idea? I have been doing tons of trading. Actually offer trades before I sell. I figure we both get something new, and save money at same time. I'm trying to understand why people look down on it. Honestly, I think being able to trade makes this app more fun. So, if you get a chance, I'd like to know why you think we shouldn't trade. I apologize in advance, since I'm sure u put all that in blog already. But like I said, can't find it.😕

@whitelotus Typically, the reason people have tons of followers is if they have been a Suggested User before. When Poshmark chooses you as a SU, you become one of the around 25 people that every new user automatically follows. I was one for a short time. It also helps if you have been on the app a while because people start hearing about your closet or stumbling upon it. Hope this helps!

@styleluxe4less hi! I have a dilemma. Someone asked me to reserve an item for them; they said 24 hours so I did. After the 24 hrs I asked again and she said she was waiting for payments to clear and I said that's fine. It has now been a week. I asked her last night to see if she was interested but no answer yet. Now I have someone else that is interested. Is it rude to go ahead and sell to the new person even though I said I could wait for the payments to clear?

Hi Robyn. Please help me :(
I've been loving poshmark to and I joined in Feb and made several sales it's very cool! Have you heard of anyone sending someone the wrong package?? OMG I did, blonde!!! So... I freaked out and cancelled the order to the buyer that was suppose to receive it and I received an email from Poshmark saying the order was cancelled. I never received money from the transaction as the buyer and it shows cancelled on my end. Since I used the wrong label, her label for that item was never used and shows the package wasn't never shipped, and the buyer never released payment etc. Now the buyer is soooo upset says her credit card was charged and wants to know when he she will be credited. I feel soooo bad :( and this girl keeps sending me messages, but there is nothing I can do. I don't know why they would charge her credit card if she never even received item or anything. I just recently talked to girl on here and she said that people have sent out wrong packages before and pm usually sends that person a label and has them send to the right buyer. I didn't know that and already cancelled the order. :( So my question is, when do you think her credit card will be credited. Thank you so much for your help!! I feel really bad about this!!

@jeremy3 Hi Betty! Wanted to clarify something for you... Not sure exactly what you meant by changing pics to get more followers. Hi👋Not so much a new user as I've been on posh since last July. But I do have a question whenever you get the chance! I recently listed a post about poshmarks guidelines on what is allowed to be sold and trying to warn those not aware that posh is now cracking down more on people who have items listed that aren't allowed and sending out warning emails and restricting accounts. I have gotten such backlash that I did not expect as I've also had listed for a while a poshmark etiquette listing and never had any issues. So many people appreciated me posting it, but this one has gotten me harassed and accused of being the "posh police!" I was just honest to god trying to do a good thing and forewarn people and I'm trying to figure out how to handle it. Most of the negativity is from people of course not following the guidelines. Please any advice you can give is appreciated and I did block and report her for harassment as she continued her rudeness and followed me onto poshmarks Facebook. I have yet to hear from them!
Mar 26Reply

jeremy3
Hi Robin, when someone says a bag is inspired does that just mean it's fake or something-else?
Mar 26Reply

styleluxe4less
@jeremy3 Yes, that means the item is fake. You should report those items because they are not allowed and people buy them not understanding they are fake! Click the icon in the top right and then report this listing.

On your blog you mentioned that if you purchase an item with your Poshmark balance, no sales tax is added. How come I have to pay sales tax whenever I purchase though? Even though I always use posh balance
Apr 07Reply

styleluxe4less
@claireswann95 Hi Claire! Do you live in California? If so, that's why. Because Poshmark is located in CA, they have to charge sales tax to people in CA.
Apr 08Reply

claireswann95
Ohh I do live in Cali ): why does it work like that? (I accept it hahaha just curious as to how it works)
Apr 08Reply

styleluxe4less
@claireswann95 It's actually like that for EVERY online retailer. Whatever state their Headquarters is located in has to pay sales tax. Pretty soon, it's going to change for everyone in every state though because there has been a constant debate over all of the sales tax that could be being collected for online purchases. Boo on that! Hopefully, it won't ever change.
Apr 08Reply

claireswann95
Oh wow I actually didn't know that! So even if you're not using your posh credits, if you live in Washington or Maine you won't have to pay sales tax?
Apr 08Reply

styleluxe4less
@claireswann95 I don't think so. Not now. In the beginning, I think they were testing different ways they needed to tax, etc. That info about sales tax was put on this listing back in the beginning.

Hi Robin! This is a wonderful forum and your blog is very helpful as well! Yesterday was my one week Poshiversary and I sold my 1st bundle 2 days after putting my closet up!👏 I also made a promise to myself to always share from someone's closet if they share from mine👍 I want to increase my followers (like we all do) but here's the deal-I only want to see things from POSHERS closets that are my stylemates. Does that make sense? There are thousands of lovely ladies here who don't necessarily have the same taste as their fellow POSHERS. Should I just try and get as many followers as I can no matter what? Also, if you don't mind taking a look at my closet, I'd love some advice from a pro like you with such a nice closet❤

@neonandgold Hi Sharon! The only way I know to keep a listing at the top of your closet is to not post anything else. So, I guess at the end of every day you could always post that at the very end and it would stay at the top of your closet until the next day. There's definitely not a way to schedule a post to be at the top of your closet for a certain amount of time (although that would be a good idea and poshers could have sales, vacation info, etc. there!) Hope this helps! And, enjoy your LONG vacation! Will I fit in your suitcase???

@styleluxe4less thanks for all of this helpful information. Been on PM for about a week and it really is addicting as they say! Keep in mind I put two items in the same drop box and only got one confirmation. Now I'm worried about that package...I tracked it and it says "pre shipment". Thanks again!!
Feb 08Reply

styleluxe4less
@blonddie42 Hi Samantha! I'm sure I fully understand what you are asking, but each package only uses one tracking number. If you sold two items to the same person, you should have bundled them into one listing and then they would only pay shipping one time. If you sold them separately to the same person and stuck both in the same box, you're only going to have one tracking because only one label got scanned by the post office on the one box you sent. Hope this helps! And, welcome to Poshmark!
Feb 08Reply

blonddie42
Thanks!! But It was actually two separate sales to two different people. One emailed the tracking and one didn't. And I put them in the same mail box... Does that make sense?
Feb 08Reply

styleluxe4less
@blonddie42 Ha! That makes a lot more sense. I'm not sure why you didn't get the tracking for the other. If you're still concerned about it, email support@poshmark.com and give them the details of the order and buyer and they can look it up for you.
Feb 08Reply

blonddie42
Yes I did that. Just wondered if you ever came across the same issue. Maybe it's sitting in the mail box still...we shall see what happens. Thanks for the time!!

Hello, I have a quick question, and there's no hurry just when u have a moment, can you tell me, is there a way to remove items that are currently in my "likes"? Thanks for your help :-)

What is a nice way of asking someone to accept the purchase they bought from me so I can get paid....it was my first purchase and don't want to be rude! Thanks!

@lvkathyb Here you go!
Feb 13Reply

styleluxe4less
@bagjunkie Hi Pamela! You're going to die when you hear how easy this is. To unlike an item, just click on the Liked button after you have liked it, and it will unlike it. Make sense?
Feb 13Reply

styleluxe4less
@blonddie42 Samantha - Poshmark automatically deposits the money into your account after 3 days if the customer doesn't accept it. So, just be patient. Remember, with as busy as all of our lives are, it can often take a day or two for the person to really receive the item, try it on, etc. Congrats on your first sale!

Does anyone else have problems either loading in photos to Poshmark or taking photos with the actual app. For example, if I use my phones camera and/or another camera, sometimes when I load those photos into Poshmark they come in sideways or upside down with no way to rotate. I've tried rotating outside of the app, hoping it will load in correctly, but haven't had any luck. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with whether I'm taking the photo horizontally or vertically? Also, when I take a photo with the actual Poshmark app, it comes in distorted every time, like you're looking through a slightly curved surface and the color is way off (but the quality is fine if taken outside of the app so it can't be the phone's camera). Any advice?

Hi! I've been on poshmark for about 3 weeks now and I have made 2 sales so far. I've been really trying to get a lot more followers
and have been following everyone I can. I have also been sharing and attending the parties. My question is am I doing something wrong? I have over 11 thousand people that I'm following but only have like 2 or 3 thousand followers. Just curious thanks!! 😊

Mar 16Reply

@paulywog Hi Paul! The Buy Now button is there. You don't have to do anything. It's just not showing for you because it's your listing. PS - love the anchor dress! My son's nursery is all done in a nautical theme.

@styleluxe4less on I was trying to read your post to find if someone already asked this, but there are so many post, lol I have not found it yet. How do I make faces and hearts and arrows going down.. I would usually do this for a heart on Facebook: <3 and instead of showing that it would show a pretty red heart. I searched the web for info on how to do this and couldn't find it
Apr 29Reply

styleluxe4less
@rachamoonwall83 Hi Rachael! The way to do this is the same way you use emoticons in your texts. I only know how to do it via iPhone. When you type, click the globe button to the left of the space bar, and the emoticons come up. If you have never done this, you have to go in your settings and enable the keyboard. Then, you can use all of those graphics on Poshmark. 😍🎁🙏🎉🎈😎

Hi! Thanks a ton for all the great tips and advice! You're a doll for doing this! How do you get LIKED items that have been sold (or that you have changed your mind about) to disappear from your LIKED collection - in order to make room for more LIKES of course! I tried -'un'-liking them (by clicking the liked button again) but they still won't go away! You may have touched upon this topic in a previous thread, but I was not able to find it, so if you have would you please just share the username or any other keyword (other than liked) that I can use as a search term to find the info, please. THANKS again!

styleluxe4less
@stellanagig Hi Lesly! You should be able to click LIKE again and it "un"likes it as you mentioned. Contact support@poshmark.com if that is not the case and maybe they can help you.

@hannah_owens Hi Hannah! Congrats on making your first sale! The buyer has three days after she receives the order to accept it and say everything was as described. If she doesn't do it in that amount of time, Poshmark automatically accepts it. Your money is released as soon as it's accepted either by the buyer or Poshmark. At that time, you can either request a check, request a direct deposit or spend the money on Poshmark.
Jun 12Reply

styleluxe4less
@hannah_owens Hi Hannah! It means your order is being processed by the seller and will be shipped to you soon.

What is up with the rating system now, all of a sudden I am able to rate my purchases, but am I rating the item or the seller or both?
Jul 17Reply

styleluxe4less
@bbhart113 Hi Brittany! You can rate any purchases made in the last 30 days. You are rating both the item and the seller. Poshmark just wrote a blog on this, so check that for full information.

Hi... I believe PM allows sellers 10 days to ship their items they have sold, right? So, do buyers have a time limit when buying an item? Like If I buy something do I have a certain amount of time allotted to me for buying the item in a timely manner, like possibly credit card issues, clicking "buy now" to reserve the item until the funds are loaded on my credit card in my efforts to not have the item sold out from under me... just wondering if payment when buying should be immediate?
Jul 23Reply

styleluxe4less
@seatia Hi Tia! When you click Buy Now, it will only go through if you have proper credit payment on the site. You cannot reserve an item unless it is directly with the seller, via a conversation you have with them about when you can pay and they manually mark the item Not Available until you are ready to purchase so no one else gets it. Did that answer your question?
Jul 23Reply

seatia
Yes! it certainly did... thank you :)

Do you have to pay shipping for every single item if you buy multiple items?
Aug 13Reply

styleluxe4less
@aperson12 Not if they are from the same buyer. In that case, the buyer sets up a bundle listing and you pay shipping one time for all of your items.

@styleluxe4less Hi there! Do you know if there's a way to 'mass follow' ? I have a ton of new followers - do I have to click through to every single closet in order to follow them back? It's taking forever!! :) Any insight appreciated, thanks!
Aug 19Reply

styleluxe4less
@christaluciana Hi Christa! Definitely one thing you can do to speed up following new people that have followed you is to work from a computer instead of your phone. Another suggestion would be to click on Followers on your Poshmark page and that will list everyone who is following you. It's much quicker to scroll down and click Follow for everyone you are not already following. Let me know if any of this is confusing!

@styleluxe4less Thank you so much for all this information!! After a year on being in the community I am now active! Question: do you know if they are going to make this more website friendly? I would love to use my nice camera to take the clothes' photos but it is very complicated to post them into the app. I know it's meant to be a phone app but having a background in photography and not able to use it, it's painful!!
Sep 09Reply

styleluxe4less
@jennywren155 Hi Jenny! When a buyer says "try on" they are asking you to try the item on and post pictures of that so they can see what it looks like on.
