People are listing fake make as Authentic for an average of $15/each. Fake MAC is about .62 a pigment! Don't waste your money, you're getting taken advantage of. Fake MAC is terrible for your & doesn't work as well as their real products. Also look for products not offered by MAC including large eye shadow pallets & large brush sets 😒👎 ⛔Always reference the MAC website for pigment names & check the markings.

How do you know if it is fake? 😜
adorablearianne
@shirley_turner The containers, first & then look at the name of the pigment. Names like "Freshwater" & "Forgery" are faux MAC. The majority of MAC listed here is fake. Even with a wholesale license you're unable to buy MAC in bulk. The closest thing you can do is get a student discount with a cosmetology permit but even those supplies are limited as to how much you can buy.

Thanks for the info! I just bought some MAC makeup from another seller on here... I'll check the back of it! 👍😁
adorablearianne
Good luck! It's not that they're selling fake (Even if it is illegal because it's considered "trafficking") its that they charge so much for fake. Talk about inflation of cost, geez!
adorablearianne
👆@shirley_turner lol

@adorablearianne I hear ya! Yes! Being ripped off sucks! I hope it didn't happen to me, but it's a lesson learned if so! Right! Lol😜

If u brought some and the seller said they were authentic u can complain to pm support about it that they were fake and they will refund u ur money and u have to return the product back to the buyer so u can get ur refund. Hope that helps u.

Thank you for following! Take an extra 20% off any one item of choice in my closet (:
inthisane
can i order some thru u ?
adorablearianne
@inthisane Selling anything counterfeit is considered trafficking and illegal.

Hi everyone please be careful with designer jewelry such as Kate spade, Marc Jacobs & Betsey Johnson that are being sold as authentic from @ jlea. Her listings have all been removed by pm bc she repeatedly lists her items authentic when they are fake and has been confirmed by Kate spade employees. She also re-lists her items under different accounts (Kurtdogg73) which she claims I'm bullying her when I asked her about some jewelry that was purchased that gave my sister a reaction and we confirmed was not real! She currently has her listings active as @ trendyme. Please share with others!!!
adorablearianne
@jessikadonel86 Glad the info helped! Sadly, the majority of MAC on here is fake including eye shadows, eye liners- even brush sets. It's not the same quality & is made with harmful stuff! If I can prevent anyone from being scammed it makes me feel better :)
penk589
Do u have real Mac?
adorablearianne
@penk589 Not that I'm selling, sorry. :(
penk589
Are the fake ones as good as the real!?
adorablearianne
@penk589 There's no comparison, fakes are made in china cheaply & just have the MAC logo. They're made with harmful chemicals that can irritate your eyes. The eye liners/mascaras don't go on as dark and smudge easily. The foundations/powders don't have the same coverage. Some people like the eyeshadow a (like the ones in my listing & the discs) but I still wouldn't risk getting any of that junk near my eye, not worth an infection or worse in my opinion. I'd rather spend the extra money & know I'm getting quality that will last.
penk589
How can u tell if they are real
adorablearianne
@penk589 The description on the photo explains how. Always check packaging, markings & cross reference color names with the MAC website. Also, MAC doesn't sell brush sets with the exception of very few limited edition collections. I haven't found an authentic brush set on here yet but if you're looking at brushes ask for the brush #.
aidenrulz
I'm selling an eyeshadow that I bought at Mac but I would love for you to authenticate it if u can
adorablearianne
@aidenrulz If you purchased from the MAC store you shouldn't worry about authenticity, Electric Eel is one of their colors & they sill carry the refill pans and the shadow for $12 & $15. 😊
Most MAC on here is fake, most girls purchased under the impression that it was authentic & get upset when they find out it isn't or purchase the fake and try passing it for authentic. MAC stores will always carry authentic, there are only limited stores authorized to sell it (Macy's, Nordstrom, Etc). Girls that have "MAC websites" or multiple listings are selling fake, you can't buy real MAC wholesale. As a beauty student you can get a discount but on limited quantities.
miss_bella
Sellers on here get so mad if you suggest their item isn't real (like the 120 color eyeshadows). It's nothing personal so I don't know why people who don't understand that an item is fake get so mad. Google it if you don't believe me. So many fakes on here :(
adorablearianne
@miss_bella I agree, they get so angry but it's only a question. If their products are authentic they should just say they are and move on. Most get angry because they either get caught selling fake or they found out they purchased fake and got scammed themselves. 95% of the MAC listed on here is fake but I don't have the time to go to each listing and warn everyone individually. I hope this listing will continue to help people not get scammed, we've stopped & exposed a few sellers 😊
miss_bella
@adorablearianne good! A lot of the time the seller doesn't even know. Yesterday one was selling a 120 color thing for $50 and told me she got it at Macy's. LOL.
adorablearianne
@miss_bella lol! Unless by Macy's she means her friend's apartment she's obviously lying. Glad you caught it! I know some people don't care that its fake but they're still overpaying horribly. Those 120 pallets are about $7, she's asking $50? So sad.
miss_bella
@ashjan my info is 100% straight, thank you very much. Have a nice day selling your fakes.

I agree! Buying fake anything is stupid. Buy the real thing. What does that say about you, if all you own are fakes. It's says your not good enough to afford the real thing. Which I don't believe on anyone. But seriously. It's just embarrassing.
adorablearianne
@horano The sad part is most don't know they're buying fake because the sellers are saying their products are authentic when they're not. They shouldn't take the sellers word for it, although the sellers should be honest from the beginning.
horano
@adorablearianne true. That's why you have to be super careful!!!!
pocahontasq
@adorablearianne forgery and freshwater are real MAC shadows honey .. They aren't made in pigments From what I know though. But it's a ton OF FAKES UP HERE I JUST FOUND TWO scammers!! This stuff can give ppl infections smh. It's bad that they are getting over on innocent ppl..
adorablearianne
@pocahontasq Thank you for the clarification! The listing used to be pigment specific only but I added the brushes & pallets after seeing they were being sold as frequently as "authentic". I agree, harmful products & cheap quality. I've seen the brushes, the fibers just fall apart. There is no comparison to real MAC.
aeasterling
No pigment will have the same name as a pressed shadow! That's the easiest way to tell on here
aeasterling
And I can usually authenticate any Mac product if anyone needs help doing so! I'd be glad to do so
kaylacmarie
I'm so confused I don't even see the different in the second picture with red writing on if. Lol
adorablearianne
@kaylacmarie It's not the best picture but its the fonts used and how the lines intercept on the logo. The more prominent difference is in quality though, if you're familiar with MAC products & you try the fake studio fix it doesn't have the same coverage & it orangey on your skin. It's made with horrible byproducts so if you have sensitive skin (or even if you don't) you risk getting a nasty rash. Don't do a google image search, it's gross :(
smhenson1974
I was just going through the "Authentic" MAC listings (I just got home from MAC at Macy's). I came across the seller @ whenbeautycalls and was curious about how she had all the multiples of MAC so under her lipstick listing I just asked her how she got so much "Authentic" in bulk. Her response took me aback and off guard. Can someone else look at her listings? I WAS interested in purchasing but very wary right now. Thanks in advance 😕
smhenson1974
I'm sorry, the conversation is under the Zoom Lash listing. 😟
adorablearianne
@smhenson1974 her products are fake, you did the right thing by checking first.
smhenson1974
Thank you so much. Did you notice her comments back at me? Just for asking simple questions. Like I said, I just left MAC and talked to the woman about all the fakes and she said if they are bulk they are fake, so I just wanted another opinion.
smhenson1974
She just blocked me and posted an "announcement".
adorablearianne
@smhenson1974: @whenbeautycalls can just be added to the list of ladies selling fake, Poshmark is aware and being proactive about deleting their accounts. There was no need to be so defensive, I agree.
adorablearianne
@mswilliams85 @shoppingaddict be aware before purchase.
adorablearianne
@whenbeautycalls Your mother purchased fake if that's the case. Like I said in the listing before you deleted it, if you were unaware that your products are not authentic you should be aware now. I can respect your want to make money for college but passing replicas as authentic is not the way. You should be upfront about your products now and do your research before selling & claiming your products are authentic.
smhenson1974
@whenbeautycalls I have the pics saved dear of your bulk items you had posted. There would have been no problem or question had you not been so defensive. Then you delete the listings and block me. It's all just too fishy. Have a great night. 😃
mswilliams85
Thanks hun🌹
ginabj
@adorablearianne Your do right and Thank you for bringing it to some of the newbies, because some if the fake stuff has some stuff that if you use it on your eyes can blind them. I see people buying used lipsticks hellloo, herpes, who knows what else the lipstick has been through or where it's been? The price of health is more important, cause girls herpes is forever!!
adorablearianne
I agree, I wish people would use more caution @ginabj. On a positive note, we shall remain herpes free because we know better! Haha.
