Same problem with me ! My problem was my billing address was the one on my card and the one were to ship it was my house . Does that make sense ? Lol

@aimpie did you double check to make sure it's spelled the same? I had that problem with another buyer too so if anything is different about shipping and billing address (spelled wrong on one) then it will flag it. Maybe double check to be sure.

I like here only for post closet, but when u buy something o someone but something of ur closet is expensive, and I don't have good thing for to say, my last time when someone buy something in my closet, posh take 20% off of the item, and I know that, but make me mad they not refund me the cost for shipping :-(, I send to posh a hundred of email .. And doesn't answer! For that I only use PayPal.. Good for me, good for the buyer..

@honkytonkangel I'm having the same issue right now too. the only thing I can think of is that I received an email stating that a purchase I made was returned to the sender due to an invalid address. I've been receiving all my purchases successfully at my work so I don't know why all of a sudden my address is incorrect. And the weird thing about that email was that the item in question never even showed that it was shipped. I wonder if Poshmark placed a hold on my acct.

I'm having a similar problem now myself I got error code 1622 I think after a seller accepted an offer I made. I tried updating my billing I even switched cards and tried Apple Pay. There's no reason I can think of this should be happening. I'm really irritated. If anyone has heard anything as far as a resolution please let me know

I went through this and it took over a month to fix it and that is only because i HOUNDED them, literally! But it was not the address that was the issue... it was that i had made 3 consecutive back to back purchases and to them, that was considered 'suspicious activity' so they put a block on my account and i couldn't even make offers! cont...) sort of notification or email or heads up or anything and i only found this out by emailing them MULTIPLE times (even tho it says not to..lol) I have found that posh support is a very long process for anything, they're painfully slow and not very good, as much as i love this site, support sucks. In the end, they made me send them a picture of my drivers license along with one of my bank statement showing my account numbers. it was stupid! oh and i got a 20 $ credit lol. 🙄

@lrbposh no I just went ahead and made sure t update everything (even what was he same) and waited a day and it fixed it. I had moved but I guess something I had in wasn't correct with my billing and shipping so I just entered it all over again and a day later it seemed to work.

I also included all relevant information and sent them screenshots of the error messages when I try to make an offer, a purchase, and a new listing. I still haven't heard back from them. How long until they responded to your first email? Thanks!

@lrbposh I contacted at 12:17pm, their response 10:15am to ask for evidence of error, sent proof at 3:32pm, they were able to enable my account an hour later. I sent the mm an email from my computer, screen shot the pictures from my cellphone, add the attachments per their request, and they responded immediately. I really hoped this helps.

It's been almost 24 hours since I sent them my message. I sent them my message last night, but directly through the app (which they recommend). Maybe I should resend the email, but directly to their support email address from my email address like you did instead of through the app like I did.

The first week I was able to purchase several items. Now going on three days I try to buy and I'm getting the same message; "unable to buy, try again later please". Poshmark Supporters, are aware of this issue but I have not been given a reason as to why there is a problem.
If anyone could tell me where I can find the reason for this message I can fix what I need to and go back to being a happy posher. Sorry to the sellers who are losing business.

@jjboparai I received 2 diff emails. One said basically after months of buying that my spending seemed excessive. Two my billing address on card changed email proof of banking which I did along with proof of having moved . It still took over a week once sent before account back to buying capabilities.
The first email was sent to me .
The second in response to me contacting them. It took close to 2 weeks to resolve

@lil_cro Yes, now, but who knows it has been intermittent. Poshmark will only tell you to delete the app and reinstall. That never fixed it for me....multiple times. They are just super glitchy so I don't focus on their selling platform because of it. It seems like that they should get some more tech people. This is affecting their sales. Pretty poor management, if you ask me.

The first email accused me of having some other closet/email and asked me to send a pic of my ID, which I did thurs night, Friday morning they told me they'd send over my case for "further consideration" to their moderation team. Worst customer service ever.

Hi guys, I been dealing with this for months now. I have changed my cards, my address, edit every little thing in my account and yet nothing works. I have also reach out to customer service and no answer. So I think the solution is to give the company some social media attention. If we all start tweeting and facebooking about the terrible customer service and how our messages are being ignore they will address the problem.

@rosieroon60 the Poshmark Customer Service is the worst. I reached out to them and they take about 3 -4 days to respond to your emails. So I’m going to guesstimate that it will take about 2 months to solve my issue. I will keep you update and if I learn how to fix it I will share

@rosieroon60 so I had reach out to the poshmark customer service department, after a few days they responded. They asked me to send them a screen shot of my credit card statement to verify my address and card info and they lifted a hold they had in my account for protection. Essentially what’s happening when we get these messages is that Poshmark has place a hold on our account. Reach out to the poshmark customer service department.

I had this problem, too. I got the message "Sorry! you can not currently make an offer to buy from this user." I added new payment method, checked shipping and billing addresses, added a phone number and verified it. I also tried Poshmark on Firefox web browser on my Mac. Got same error. Then I deleted the app from my iPhone. I then went to the App store and reinstalled it. Then I logged back in. Then it worked. So that solved the issue for me.

@cjcorda I've got the last 3 days, been unable to buy anything here. Called my bank, and all is perfect with my debit card. Posh ran my order thru as a credit, not debit. My bank rejected it. Why suddenly is Posh doing this? I've been using my card since last year. I set up p. p. here, but that wont work either. Is my acct frozen?

@jayyybird25 Omg it was ridiculous. When I FINALLY heard from posh they said I had another account from a different email - which wasn’t true, Ive only ever had one email at a time. They said I had to go cancel this “other account” from the “other email address”, which was impossible because I had neither. I just told them to deactivate!

@jayyybird25 Jack, from Posh support, has been helping me today. He says its my bank. My bank tells me its Posh. I'm utterly lost. I tried setting up a second account, and it still wouldn't work. I even deleted my debit card info, and tried with "p". Got fully verified, but the transaction was declined!

Solved! If any of you are using a Mastercard (debit, credit, prepaid - from any bank or store), my bank researched and said Mastercard has decided to put a fraud alert on Posh, and will not let any payments to them go through. This is sudden; I purchased on here June 12 just fine. On 6/15 MC declined transactions. Hope this helps!

Ignore my above post. I called my bank again. It's called a Stand & (or in?) Decline. It's put on the card by Mastercard, to protect the cardholder from fraudulent merchants, even though Posh is legit. There is no way to remove it. I appreciate the protection, but I'm infuriated that I can't purchase on here, with that card!

I had used another one of my own credit cards that i don't use often and it declined it, so they asked me for a ton if information which I provided and then some, and I've emailed them about 20x. I made a purchase and it keeps on saying that I update my payment info. I called my bank and they told me Poshmark is having issues & that I have sufficient fund/s to purchase. I’ve purchased tons of stuff and sold many and I never encountered this issue. I’m humiliated because I don’t want the buyer to think I’m not serious etc. she was kind enough to hold it for me until the problem is resolved.

Same problem. I emailed cust serv a screen grab of Google Maps showing my address is correct. They took 3 days to reply but they said their problem is with their system and they are not able to override it -so they emailed my seller a shipping label. It keeps happening 3 more orders later, every time I contact customer service my seller gets a shipping label emailed to her. I keep asking they fix this permanently. It’s a real hassle and I’m ready to stop buying on Poskmark.

All of the items in my closet vanished without a trace. I have only been able to relist one item in my closet. When I try to list an item I get the message "Sorry! Something went wrong." I just got this as well and asked customer service why my account was flagged. Users should look into their credit card merchant agreement. This is against Visa's policy. They can ask for it but they are supposed to still allow you to purchase without it. Recording customer ID information is also illegal in the state of CA.

I had the same issue and what you need to do is below:
Step 1: Select Accounts Tab
Step 2: Select Poshmark Support Center
Step 3: Select Manage Account Status
Step 4: Select Identity Verification
Step 5: Complete Identity verification via the prompts in the App
It’ll take couple days for Poshmark to verify the identity and once done you’re all set

This happened to me a long time ago when i really started buying a lot on posh! I waited MONTHS- literally!!!! no contact from posh support until finally got ahold of someone who said suspicious activity required me to verify my identity i had to send screen shots of the statement for the card i was using! Super annoying!! I could probably find the email address for the person i finally felt with directly that fixed it! i’ll look!

I got same errors for quite a long time. I couldn’t like listings, drop message etc. Apparently, my account was hold and need to email poshmark support to solve it. They responded in about 2-3days. At first they said they have released my account but it still not worked. They responded in an exact email as before asking for id and bank statement.

@rebeccabexyb000 I know exactly how you feel. Yes. They said they fixed it.... although I haven’t tried buying anything yet. I wrote support at poshmark about ten times. I also wrote to the messages, on their Facebook page.
So try support a bunch of times, then write through messages on the Facebook page saying you’ve written a bunch of times and nothing happened. Facebook got them to reply within about a week. Let me know if you need anything else and good luck 💕💕💕

@michellea1 I sent them 3 emails before I received a request for a copy of my drivers license or passport to verify that the payment method I used belonged to me. Couple things here......there is no way in the world I would ever send them that! I don't know who in the heck they are, and I have been a victim of identity theft more than once. That is all they need to commit fraud! No thank you, it is illegal for merchants to ask for your I'd.

if your address does not conform to USPS database, then posh might prevent the sale- just a guess on my part. if a shipping address in the database says "street name, Suite Z, box 100" and the database says "Street name, Suite Z" then this is the only address that most shipping label software must use. This often happens when someone uses a private mailbox rental company like MBE.

Thanks for making this "listing"! I am frustratingly encountering a similar problem and I wish that the sellers here on Posh would let Poshmark know. If enough people complain, maybe they would actually try and fix it.

I have had an account with PM and I went to update my card details and address and for two days now it is stating incorrect zip code against what the bank has. I called BOA and they said this is an on-going issue with poshmark. SO HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO USE THIS APP IF WE CAN'T EVEN ADD OUR NORMAL CARDS??????????????? The one time I want to make a purchase after years this is what happens. This is why we started using other apps. You are losing business from all of us women here.

Hi all! If you get to this comment (I hope you do), I resolved this error by typing my address into pirate ship (you could use usps prob too) and seeing the “recommended” address that pops up. There were certain parts of my address that USPS was not liking, so for instance it recommended I spell out the number of my street instead of just saying “8th” I changed it to “Eighth” and it let me buy. Pls try this and see if it helps :)

@sisimeii Say someone gets your credit card and knows your billing address. So they put your address as the billing address. Then they ship it to their own address. The seller of that item ships the order out. Not knowing it fraud. Then you see a charge on your credit card. You report it as a fraud. Then the credit card company can do a charge back. Taking the money from Poshmark and they will not pay the seller. Then that seller would be out their product and money.

@aimpie a "friend of mine" fixed it two different ways. First they put the poshmark acct in their Samsung secured folder and it let them use two accts at the same time like that, treated it like two different apps. They also used a VPN and made a second different acct on the web site not using the app. But never had an issue with addresses.

I purchased two jerseys and it was a scam. They “shipped” but sat at same post office for 2 weeks. Meanwhile I cancelled my order with Poshmark. Then 2 weeks later—two pencils arrive in the mail!!! It was a scam. I cannot buy niw, I assume due to the scammers saying something was wrong on my end. What a joke.

@msieda this is what I found. Look at the comments. Your billing and shipping address have to be entered perfectly. So read through and make sure none of the above issues are happening.

I had this happen once, and I sent in a message to support. They looked into it, it took about a day, and then everything was back to normal. My problem was I had access to everything, but was unable to post any new items, that was the only issues I have ever had to deal with. I hope that information helps you.

I also made a new acct thinking I can just start brand new since deleting my acct and changing any info requires that verification txt and they restricted the new acct too. I want to buy and get it delivered to correct address bc I also moved so I can see how they see that as red flags but there’s no phone number for them that I can find

Same! Since July, and there is NO reason for it, and every time I write to customer support they just close the case and don't fix it, and yes, I sent in my ID. This is incredible, as a business owner, I find this absolutely amazing and from what I have seen here, on twitter and reddit, they just don't give af. Now I know why there is no phone support. Super sad, because I buy tons with 7 kids, but oh well, they are very arrogant about it.
