50s 60s Amerikaner Double Gold Plated Men's Vintage Watch Band

Amerikaner gold-plated vintage men's watch band. Guessing 1950's/60s. The band is about 15.5 cm long. It's 3 cm wide at the ends where it flares out, and 2 cm wide in the middle. The last link on each end is curved. This band is a rich deep gold colour that looks washed out in most of these photos. The colour in the second picture is closest to the true colour. The band has slight scratches and scuffs commensurate with vintage wear, but they're hard to see unless you look really closely. There is also a very small dark spot on the center release link, which you can see in the first picture. "The word "Amerikaner" is the same as "double" and this was a process of double plating an item which was created during the Austrian Empire period (prior to 1865) and assured a lifetime glow... Items created with this process basically were of 9kt or 333 to 375/1000 gold. They could be higher. Base material was silver with copper which allowed for the rose gold color." -- Collectors Weekly
