50's Panda Bear Cookie Jar - Ceramic Cookie Jar - Biscuits Jar - Cookie Panda

This adorable black and white panda bear ceramic cookie jar has such fun details. His eyes are blue, he's got a "cookie panda" white cap, a honeybee under his eye, and this silly bear holds an orange cookie in his paw. Turn him around, and he's hiding another cookie in his other paw! This ceramic bear collectible measures approximately 11.75 inches tall, 5.25 inches wide and 14.5 inches in circumference. There is no maker's mark on this adorable guy, but I suspect it is a Japan piece. (I had a "Japan" marked bear with very similar features i.e. cap, cookie hidden behind back.) In very good vintage condition for its age, the cookie bear has some paint loss around his eyes (pic 5), and on the orange cookies (pics 5, 6). There are a few small red marks on his cap. As well, there is some extensive crazing along the bottom of the jar and on the inside of the jar (pics 7, 8, 9). That being said, this cookie monster is still ready to charmingly adorn any kitchen or cookie jar collector's shelf. Please note that I cannot guarantee glass or ceramic shipments.
