@cvz15 I have a question: is it necessary to respond to every like with a thank you but adding I can bundle if interested? I don't want to ignore people but I've seen tons of are you interested in other closets every 5 minutes and sometimes I feel like "Ugh" give it a break. The way I like to shop is to review my likes about once a week and decide what I want to buy, but I don't want other Poshers to think I'm disinterested if I don't respond. Help!

Love it! ππ
cvz15
@regine : Edna, you ask a very good question! I let shoppers "like" items in my closet and I don't pester them with an immediate response. If I see someone has liked multiple items, then I follow up. In that case, I try to wait an hour or so, then I ask "I see you have liked several items in my closet! I offer a discount on bundles of three items or more. Please let me know if I may be of assistance. Thank you!"
It is exhausting work for you (the seller) to acknowledge every "like", and it is annoying (as the buyer) to be asked over & over if I'm "interested"! Yikes! If there is something you "liked" that you will probably purchase, then tell the seller something like, "I really like this Coach purse so I've added it to my "likes". I'll be back next week to make my final decision". That way, the seller knows you may or may not be back to purchase...and she can choose to follow-up with you at that time.
I do, however, post a thank you for every "share", as I view that as free advertising which could potentially lead to a sale. I also reciprocate the "share" by doing the same for something in their closet. I hope that helps!

@cvz15 Thank you! That clears up alot and makes sense. I too share if they follow me or if I see items that I know other Poshers are interested in. I know what to do in the future: again thank you for taking the time to respond to me! I appreciate it

I "like" this post very much and now feel less pressure to be on top of every like. I do thank the shares - what if I get multiple shares from the same person then do i thank for each one? And... How in the world do I get those cool icons everyone uses? Instead of a :) how can I join the cool crowd with a real icon? Maybe my iPad doesn't have them. That would be hard to believe. Thanks again!
cvz15
@andine : Hi, Anne! The little emoticons & pictures that gals include in their listings or comments are an iPhone & iPad app called "Emoji" which you can download from the Apple App Store. They're fun to use and add a flash of color!

Hey Darlin'. It's me again. Wanted to order boxes from Post Office for handbags ALL sizes. Just in general to get started.
cvz15
@dixiered : Hi, Gina. Good to hear from you again! Here is the info you requested:
To make shipping on Poshmark super-easy, go onto the US Postal Service website at www.usps.com .
The best thing to do is "REGISTER" for a free account by creating a username, password, and entering your name & address.
First, go there to order your FREE Priority Mail boxes. They have several sizes and if you order them online for free, they will deliver the boxes right to your house!
The only thing is...you must NOT order "Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes". Those are not allowed by Poshmark. When you order boxes, they must be "Priority Mail Boxes" (no Flat Rate). It is very confusing but having these boxes will help you to pack & ship your orders easily. You also want to order "Priority Mail" stickers & labels, so if you use a different box, the post office can identify it.
There is an option online to "schedule a pickup", which is telling the mailman when & where to pick-up your Poshmark shipment. It's very easy to use!
There is a 3-pound weight limit to ship using the Poshmark label. This is important to know if you're shipping heavy items like a coat, jeans, or boots, or when shipping a "bundle" of multiple items to one person. In that case, you can step on your bathroom scale with the box & estimate the weight. I bought an inexpensive kitchen scale that goes up to 10 pounds to weigh boxes, but it's up to you.
See how easy it is? I hope that was helpful. Happy Poshing!

Question - maybe u can help. If I want to clean up my list of likes, remove some, make the list just "available" items etc...will that be viewed negatively by a seller or by the community? Do they get a notification?
cvz15
@andine : Hi, Anne. The "like" feature is equivalent to using a bookmark on the Internet so you can remember where you have visited and you can easily return again. I go into my "likes" once a week or so to clean them out because the list gets pretty long! To "unlike" something, you simply click the red heart again on the item, and it will remove that item from your list. Not to worry, though! The seller does not receive a notification if you "unlike" something, and it's done all the time for a variety of reasons. I hope that helps!

Ok, thank you ! Have you written a PM manual yet? :)) kidding...sort of. You've been very helpful thx!!

@andine : Anne, you're too sweet! I actually have started a mini user's guide of sorts! I use the "Notes" app on my iPhone to write ideas and suggestions for myself and others as various topics & questions come up. I really like helping other Poshers, though! Enjoy your day!

πNot sure if you remember me, so ill give you a hint π«I've cleaned up my closet thanks to youπ«. Thanks for posting this. It clears up one if my questions.another question I have is not to sound rude to a potential buyer however the phrases "how much lower can you go" i want to reply back if I wanted I would have priced lower & the if I bundle how much would it be? Then will you do for xx AND reserve for my posh credits to come in. Help its starting to be discouraging. Thx.

Quick question. Do we have to pay taxes on the stuff we are selling on pm? I'm curious to how that part of it works. Please respond

Thanks for this. I have only been a buyer so far, but plan to start selling some in the future. My experience has been good. I do get annoyed with the constant "interested hun?" on every like. I have also received several items that smell like cigarette smoke and even one that every item was covered in blonde hair. Nothing that a wash wouldn't handle. I do wish that people would put in their listing if it is coming from a smoking home or not.
cvz15
@amytapacott : Thank you, Amy! I was a buyer for 3 months before I started selling, so I feel your pain! Poshmark recently published their etiquette guide that specifically addresses the very concerns you have mentioned. I'll tag you in my condensed version of "Poshmark Etiquette" for your reference. Just remember that if you receive an item that is covered in hair, dirty, or otherwise just plain gross, you do πnotπ have to accept that item!! Take a photo and e-mail "support@poshmark.com" to let them know about the condition of your purchase. Happy Poshing!!
