lechow Okay one lash question I promise! Do you have any particular pricing strategy you recommend? I set mine high (though usually still less than half MSRP or what I paid) to leave some wiggle room but am worried mine might be a bit too high. At what point do you start adjusting prices lower (a day, a week, a month, etc.) -- especially when you're just getting started? Thank you again and no rush on answer, totally get if you're busy and don't want to hog up your afternoon! 💕

courtships @lechow You can ask as many questions you want. I will never get tired of answering them because I like you so much and Posh is therapy for me. I won't answer unless I've got the time. I read somewhere that when you sell something you should knock 50% off the price you paid so you are right on the money there! I also like to take into account that as long as an order comes as described, they can't return it. So if they are willing to take that leap of faith I'm willing to give them a great deal.

courtships @lechow I have learned to set a price for higher than I want. This is because a) no matter how fair your price is most people are going to try to talk you down b) if you set prices too low people will perceive them to be less valuable (this has been proven in market research) and c) everyone who liked your item will receive a notification (some will even get an email) if you reduce the price by at least 10% (it might be 20 let me check this for both of us.)

courtships @lechow so what I do is set the price high knowing that I will reduce it over time and/or there are a lot of low ballers out there. I wait until it has several likes to change the price or it might go unnoticed. I like to make price changes on weekends during parties because that is when Poshmark is most frequented. If you change the price on a Monday interested buyers might miss it while they are rushing home to make dinner.

courtships @lechow I think value is important, if you love it and you know it is made well you can set the price higher. Even more so if it sold out quickly in stores or is a limited edition. My last point is I shop deals a lot but I don't believe that means I have to charge too much less. If I found it at TJ Maxx I will set the price at the original price. If it's a current item it helps to say so and people like to know where you bought it so you might want to mention the store where you found it.
