sherarace Good! It's fake Mac! Hello kitty collection only came out with 2 - four eyeshadow palettes - too dolly and lucky Tom. I used to be the biggest Mac makeup collector which I still have. Lol.

lotusming @dschaech LOL I agree, but it's not my fight and the last thing I want to do is attract bad business to myself. If anyone is ever unsure of authenticity, they're better off buying the product from the store.

dschaech I agree, that's why I leave it alone. I've had one bad experience but it had to do with the condition of a purse. Was told one smudge on back of purse that could be wiped off. It was stained everywhere and ink marks all over the outside.

You both seem to really have class and know how to be both professional & knowledgeable! Would you mind giving me advice on a purse I have listed? It was given to me by a relative who is very honorable and said it was very expensive....it looks to be & i was told it was authentic, but I have no receipts and no knowledge about this. I'm definitely not a scammer, I'm just trying to learn! ;) I've already bought 25 deliveries in one week.... Just crazy! I'm going to need posh rehab soon! Lol. Any input would be appreciated on my Chanel gold evening purse I have up. Thanks a bunch!

dschaech @loripolley I know that feeling.. Lol I'm so addicted to Posh it is crazy. I find myself digging in my closet to sell stuff I never would have if not for this place. I buy as well and try to hide it from hubby. That's funny you said that he told me I need an intervention from here. Lol I will take a look for you. I'm better at Coach,LV and Burberry.

lotusming @loripolley An average price for Chanel hand bags start at about 2,500. On eBay, the bid for per-owned bags start at 1,500. PRE-OWNED Chanel bags on Poshmark under 700 is probably fake. The only way you can authenticate it is to take it to Saks 5th Ave, Chanel Store, or any store that sells Chanel products. If a store is not near you, call them and ask how you can verify the authenticity. It would also help if you knew the name of the designed bag, if you don't, no worries, they'll ask for pictures. I wouldn't market the bag as low as you did without verification though.

But in all honestly, there's no way she paid that much for it; she couldn't have afforded it! If that means it's not real, is that what people mean when they say "Chanel inspired", etc? lotusming @loripolley there are really nice replicas floating around, and even they will be in the hundreds. I'd say authenticate it before you put a price on it. It would really suck if it was real and you sold it less than 100. Even if its a replica and it is still new, I'm sure you can get more than 100 for it.

lotusming @loripolley yes, when the word INSPIRED is next to a designer name, it's fake. If you're looking for an asking price, I'd say try to find fair price on eBay or anywhere online for the same bag or similar sized bag that you can compare the price to.

catg923 @lotusming it's great you put this public service announcement up :) I got scammed on my first 2 "sales". There was trading involved and I'll NEVER trade again. I think we get all excited about our first sales, as they know it, so they prey on people. It's just awful. They're dishonest and it hurts everyone else 😢

lotusming @catg923 thanks! I'm sorry you were scammed. that is horrible! Trading can be so sketchy because there are risks involved. I didn't trade at all when I first started because I was scared. But now I trade selectively. I make sure I read majority of the posts for feedback. Also, I don't trade on anything valuable. I'd rather take a loss for something that is $25 than $200.

avengingangelxx If you see unauthentic items, report them. Same with off poshmark transactions. It just helps keep the community a safer place. ❤ I wish poshmark (the actual website) would do more about scammers. It really sucks.
