official_forum @sophia32822 Hi, that is a way to keep anyone from purchasing an item if it was either sold "in a bundle" or if they are reserving it for a specific buyer who needs a few days before they can make a purchase. Sellers will bundle items, sell a few of their listings together, so the buyer only has to pay for shipping once instead of on each item individually. If you decide that you are ever going to bundle items just make sure that they weigh 2lb or under or you, the seller, will have to pay the extra shipping charge. 😊

official_forum @samottman Hi! The reserved banner only appears when someone is in the process of purchasing an item. Hopefully in the future PM will add a feature where we can reserve items this way. For now I guess we just have to mark up the price so high no one else will buy it and change it back when the buyer is ready. 😊

official_forum @jessi6266 that is the 1,000,000 question. According to the e-mail response I got from PM you have to have beautiful pictures and fabulous merchandise. Then if you are lucky enough to be put on the list of potential suggested users, they look at your sales history and you may be voted into the rotation. Now the host picks are different because if you happen to know one of the hosts you can get them to put your item on there. They also mainly feature items that they find randomly while searching. I saw tickets we on sale However I was wondering if you ladies have attended Poshfest? And I was wondering aside from Air Travel if they had a block Rate for the Hotel? Assuming that Poshmarkers are staying overnight???Next I see they have various speakers, is this all in one block or do they have different agendas? Reason being I attend A lot of Conferences & Trainings for various corporations Ive been associated with. Iv'e even been a guest speaker.I would really like to attend & November is approaching quickly.I have over the past few years sent messages to PM Support & sometimes I don't get a response.I just stopped sending them because the system in my opinion is automated & Sometimes so were the responses. This is difficult because I have had sooooo many questions over the past 2 years.Thank you again for putting this Forum up I feel Forums are very valuable. I am a Top Pinner on Pinterest.The contacted me & asked me to answer community questions I was very excited! I feel that once your forum gets out to the masses you may get bombarded with question after question.If thats the case as you ladies grow I would be more then happy to get involved if needed down the road.I know I'm the one asking questions right now, but I also have a lot of answers to things i have learned over the years. The Forums I'm on sometimes say "If you know the "CORRECT ANSWER' please let us know. official_forum @julia_rose Hi Julia, I will answer your question about editing listings as to my personal experience and that is they have only limited my editing of "brands," and "categories." I think they do this so that users cannot change the brand to fit party's themes when they really don't. Have you been their tumblr page? They have some good info there and some questions are answered that you cannot find in the apps faq's and guidelines. It is blog.poshmark.com. I will tag @hopesparkles who is our expert on guidelines to see if she can help you out further. Also I have not been to a PM event and am not able to attend this year. I would love to go though, I think our contributor @partymk999 may be going and might be able to help you in that area, if not then she is selling the PM t-shirts in her closet anyway... I also appreciate the offer to help us in the future as we grow! We are definitely going to be looking for some enthusiastic contributors to add to our team and I think you would be great! Whoa I'm old! 👵👵👵👵 you probably guessed that after I used "whoa " in a sentence sorry my add is kicking in! Anyway I developed my own Concept Boutique that I built from The ground up. I had it for 4 yrs & it was a $ pit so I closed it. I started Modeling at a young Age & I grew up in Hair Salons owned by My Mom. So hair Make Up fashion are all my Passions. The reason I mention this because I've been buying & selling my clothes for 22 yrs. I used to sell all my high end items to consignors. When Poshmark came about it gave me the opportunity to get more then $2.50 for my 275 jeans! Everyone is spending so many hours on these following games. I do them bc it's nice to meet new ppl & share ideas . Personally I would rather have Quality Happy Customers then a bunch of followers who aren't shopping... I am doing all I can to edit photograph & market , & I feel like I'm spinning my wheels🙀 I have 1000 Sq feet of inventory to list but I kinda want to sell what I have 1st. I saw your doing a BoGo sale, how is that going? I'm looking for all the positive direction I can soak up😻😺 thanks again & enjoy your weekend 💋💋💋💋💋💋

hopesparkles Hi @julia_rose You can edit your listing's description, title, price, etc. as many times as you'd like. You just can't change the category or brand more than 3 times. @luvieboo2 is correct that Poshmark doesn't want us to change a category based on fitting a party. I've run into that problem though. I have Demin LE autographed HARVEYS handbags that could work in the Denim party and also in the Handbags party. So on the 3rd change I had to make sure it was Handbags so that it didn't get stuck in Denim. Also, I have 2 e.l.f. Collections in Ariel and Snow White that contain, NWT makeup, hair accessories, clutches, wristlets, and makeup bags. So, you can see that there are several categories that would work. So, I made sure the last of the 3 changes were Clutches/Wallets for one and Accessories for the other. And then I made separate listings for all the bags so that they are always in the ClutchesWallets party. I hope that clarifies it for you. If you have any other Guidelines questions I'm more than happy to help. I'll be posting a listing about Guidelines tomorrow in here. But, for now you can see the "Can You List That" listing in my closet. Have a great night!

official_forum @maegan719 hi! my name is rochelle. no they dont publish results parties on here. but you can review parties and see sold items :) it is attended by approx 200k poshmark users and chance of getting sales if an item of yours is featured as an HP is higher :) (go to search and click parties-- even past parties are still there ) for suggested users (go to your menu which is the first icon from the right at the bottom part of the app with your name on it then go to FIND people) hope this helps :) 💋❌⭕️❌⭕️ @larochelle

official_forum @maegan719 hi! Welcome! After each party, poshmark publishes how many listings were shared to the party, if that's what you are referring to, which can be found in the parties section. As for suggested users, the list rotates every so often! You can find that list when you go to your feed, then click the top left icon. Hope that helps! LMK if you have any other q's 😊happy Poshing!

I work in business management so my curiosity for the results of the party is more related to the actual number of sales. For example.. out of 1359 listings, 237 resulted in sales during the party. I feel this would be helpful to better understand the supply and demand side of this app specific to the category of the party.. like what are consumers making purchases on this app looking for? I hope that makes sense! Essentially just thinking it would be great to have a better grasp on what is working... what's not.. so closets can be built accordingly! Maybe the denim parties have poor results.. but posh sells a ton of handbags! That would tell me the consumers on this site on more interested in that.. and those items would be more likely to result in a sale. :) anyway.. I will stop rambling! :) thanks for the help!

jmroby @official_forum Hi! I've made 46 sales and have a 5-star rating and finally hit my first customer service issue with a customer and was hoping to get some advice on how to handle it! I sold a pair of Victoria's Secret sweatpants to someone who said that they are just way too big for her and she'd like to return them. They are listed as a small and the tag says they are a small, but she says there is no way they could possibly and must be an XL. I tried them on myself when purchasing them so I know that they weren't tagged improperly when manufactured ... they do indeed fit similarly to every other pair of small VS sweatpants I have ever purchased. I just want to make sure I handle the situation appropriately! Where do I go from here? Also ... another posher had been really wanting to purchase these but wasn't going to be able to until March (and I don't do holds that long) and I actually felt a bit bad when they did sell before then because she was so interested. I know that Poshmark doesn't technically do "returns" unless the item is not as described but is there any way to make all three of us happy? I do realize that if Poshmark refunds her and sends the item back that I'll be able to relist them ... Does it reflect negatively on me anywhere or in any way if I just say fine send them back (even if I know there's nothing wrong with them?) Thanks for any advice you have!

aly_weseman Hi, I have a question. All I can find in the rules is that you can't list "used" swimsuits or undergarments. I have a swimsuit and 2 bras that I want to keep listed but I don't want to go against posh rules. I tried them on in the stores and thought I liked them so I removed the tags; however, when I tried them on again later I decided they didn't fit quite right and never actually wore them. Is this okay, or do they have to have tags? Thanks!

doodie4 I have noticed that blocking a person doesn't stop their posts from showing up on my feed. Also - if you block someone it would be really nice if those closets would be greyed out or marked somehow so I don't keep trying to follow and then unfollow blocked people.

texasrose11 Question. I'm pretty new on Poshmark, but what do you do when you want to ship an expensive item. I can't find anywhere that you can insure it? If you ship an item say worth $2000 and insure it for that much, then at the post office they will not let you add additional insurance to your package if you have a prepaid Posh label. They make you buy an entire new label with the insurance calculated all at once. Is there anywhere here at posh that you can print out an insured label?

rocketcitypugs @haru717 it should be there on the sold listing where it says "my sales" that's where you can upgrade your mailing label. On the item or items you have sold. Are you sure it's going to be over 5 pounds? I've mailed huge bundles before and they all came in under 5 pounds.

rocketcitypugs @haru717 It should be there immediately - I'm not sure about refunding - I always take my packages to the post office to make sure. I've never had one over 5 pounds. I've come really close though. As soon as you click "need heavier weight label" or whatever it says - you should be emailed immediately with the new label.

kittyklothes Hi! I have a case in review and it says the item I sent was "not as described". I sent my customer brand new in the package chokers. They are exactly the same as in the photos I have provided and I have never had an issue before. Now I'm worried she's going to return the chokers destroyed. I read online that Poshmark always sides with the buyer and never responds to the seller. I have sent Poshmark 2 messages and they never responded. What should I do.

amandamarien30 I feel absolutely horrible. During the rush of Christmas, I somehow managed to mix up to buyers shipping labels. I checked it 5 times and swore it was right. One is saying she never got anything, even though it is showing the package was delivered. I wrote to PM, just waiting for a response. I don't even care about the money or the products I just want them to get a refund. Has anyone else ever done this? If yes how was it resolved? I feel so so so terrible.

This usually happens when the package is overweight, packaged improperly (for example, USPS flat-rate boxes were incorrectly used) or USPS had difficulties recognizing your buyer's address. none of these were a problemThe only thing I can think of is the buyer didn't use a # before the condo number. And didn't use Capitol letters for Direction

tempestthreads I have a question. A girl bought a bundle from me and didn't like how a shirt fit her and wanted a return. Poshmark offered her credit.She messaged me and told me that she didn't want credit and she just wanted to return it and get the cash back. it was only 10 dollars I agreed and gave her the full 10 even though poshmark takes $3 of that. tempestthreads She's had these items for over a month. I dont want to give her a full amount back because poshmark takes a chunk of that. And I don't want to send her all the stuff back due to shipping costs. It's been a roller coaster with this customer on top of everything and I feel like she's been messing with me. official_forum @saratempest It's best to email support@poshmark.com about your situation. you have no obligation to pay her back unless poshmark approves the return. and it is not your fault she returned your items . screen shot the items and your convo with her it would help and let poshmark to contact her directly and block her

aferi if I see something for sale without the brand showing and I actually own it and know should I say something? Its not worth nearly as much as they're selling it for, its low quality and I bought it new 8 years ago for 30 bucks cheaper than its being sold. squirrelparty Can you PLEASE reformat your printing label. Every e-commerce site does it the same way except Poshmark. DO NOT format a label in the middle of a page, that wastes paper and does not fit standard e-commerce label paper. Labels should be 2-up, portrait, left justified. Honestly this is pretty basic stuff your R&D team should have conquered years ago. I'm tired of copying your label to paint just to reformat it every time I sell something.

Of course since I do not have access to Poshmark's user database, you would have to register a new account but you could use the same credentials or perhaps I could find a way to implement a Poshmark registration/login system so you wouldn't have to re-register sort of like Facebooks login/register system.

vicky8421 I don't get is how people can sell something for $5 if there is a $3 fee. I realize they may want them to just come to their site but chances are the person will just Buy the $5 thing and move on to the next $5 thing. Seems was like we just competing with each other at a level that's not realistic. I've sold on Etsy for several years and only make about $8-$10 per hour at best selling things for real prices. I wouldn't make anything if I sold things for 5 and $10. So how does anyone make money?

ldcotto Advice needed, please. I sold a pair of pants and, due to the flu, was unable to ship in a timely manner. I chose to pay for the shipping out of my pocket, double what the buyer paid and want PM to refund the buyer for the shipping she paid. PM said "too bad, so sad". In my opinion, this is unacceptable. Now there is a shipping label sitting out there that will NOT get used. Your thoughts??

I've been waiting on an answer from Posh Support over what must be an oversight. The buyer received the item I shipped 6 days ago today. My big question is why are there so many listings for curling iron’s, dishes including coffee mugs of all sorts, cell phones and many other items that I thought were part of the item not allowed to be sold here. Posh gave me a refund but I got the warning stating I’m purchasing item against posh regulations, it was a non-aerosol hair product. Blah blah blah against posh policy to sell/buy item non fashion. Have they looked on their own site lately? But I get the warning for buying it! How about the ones selling items prohibited and not as described?

ocoeestyles Question! I used a Flat Rate box for the first time and it was denied by the USPS clerk who said I didn't have the correct postage. I showed her the Dec shipping update on my phone and she said even though PM said it was ok to use Flat Rate boxes it doesn't abide by USPS rules. In order to get the shipment out on time today I had to ask the clerk for a new box, repack in my car, and use their tape. Now it looks sloppy but atleast it's shipping on time 😫. Has anyone come across this issue?

wanderingjade Hello. So I had a one star review from a person who said their item was too small. The listing said specifically the item ran small and had exact measurements. My question is since there are no returns how can we make this kind of rating right? It dropped me from a 4.9 to a 4.8. This has happened to a lot of people. Maybe a system to drop the lowest rating for everyone, since it is probably from the same kind of situation? Just wondering what are your thoughts. Thanks so much!

ywong91301 I ordered a pair of "Men’s FjallRaven Hiking shorts" , what I thought was a pair of men's shorts is in fact a pair of women's capris. I file an request for return with Poshmark, and they rules against me, saying that I should have asked for the exact measurements before I purchased the item. Anyway, I filed a claim with credit card and Poshmark agrees to my request for a return, but I will have to pay the return postage and I will be out $7 for the return postage.

Are you using the same box/tissue paper I originally sent the item in, or are you using a new box/wrapping to send to the final buyer? I keep receiving an error saying the user doesn’t exist and it’s not searchable. Has anyone encountered this? jacqelizabeth @exotictreasure2 I’ve found it’s easier to make sales if you relist your listing. You go to edit the listing and keep clicking next and eventually relist. That way when someone searches a brand or item, your item is at the top. People will make offers and you can go back and forth and sell that way too. You can also offer lower prices to Likers by going to the price drop button on your listing and going through the steps to offer to likers. I hope this helps!

ellehull Hello, I'm fairly new to PM, and in less than a week, I've had two sellers cancel orders. The first time it happened, I sent a message to PM and got a response that sellers could cancel for any reason. Really? Why list an item if the goal is not to sell it? I buy nearly all my clothes through online resale, and have really liked PM overall, but the cancelling thing is frustrating and disappointing. Do I just have bad luck, or is this a common experience?

designer_up @official_forum Poshmark will not return my emails they approved a return which was clearly wrong I sent them photos that my measurements were correct even though she was claiming they were not. I also sent them photos from coach website that showed the measurements are correct. I sent them photos of everything they asked which showed that the item is exactly as its stated in the ad.

I fear she will 'win' and be refunded her money and keep the shoes I sent. I looked it up and apparently, this is a known scam to Ebay. I"m wondering if anyone else has experienced it on Poshmark. This breaks my heart--Poshmark has been such a great experience up until this point.

jenheggy I had a buyer claim the top I sent had a stain on it. The top was not stained and is shown clearly in pics in the listing. It was double packaged inside brand new white bubble envelopes. Poshmark seems to side with buyers from my experience even though there are pictures to prove it wasn't stained. what are my options aside from a buyer staining a shirt and returning it back to me? makes me not want to sell here any longer.

I'm worried they tampered with my brand new item as a means to get a refund, so I'm worried what condition my item will come back in if their case is approved. oncesophias @reader113 I've had people like that buy from me too and everything was fine. Some people are literally only on here to buy stuff, not interact or sell. I had a situation where I apparently incorrectly measured a dress but I didn't take pictures to prove my measurements, the person got the dress and then said I measured it wrong, they sent the item back and I guess Poshmark puts that money on hold for a while....

The best thing I can suggest is take pictures of you measuring things, packing things, possibly even videos of you sending the item with the persons address on it and always make sure you get a receipt from the post office to prove it's been sent. If you have the proof then there shouldn't ever be an issue and Poshmark will reimburse you if there is. Hope this helps!

odiefashion Question I sold a bundle of 4 items that weighs 12lbs. Posh labels only go up to 10lbs. How do I ship? Do I use the 5lb label sent and buy another 10lb label or does that 5lb label become invalid when i buy a 10lb label? I do not want my buyer having to pay extra charges because of this. Please help!! I'm constantly amazed at the care and attention to detail those I've purchased from take in packaging and shipping goods. Never once have I received an item without a note of thanks. Most are wrapped in tissue paper and folded with care. It truly makes me smile to be part of a community who love what they sell.

There should be an option to print an overweight label of any weight, as long as I am willing to pay the additional shipping charges (which I was). This was a shipping nightmare, and now if my client decides not to purchase the new bundles, I have to repost 38 items. What a mess.

A "help" message. I gave her instructions again and I've not yet heard back from her. All the boxes are packed and waiting. I guess we'll see what happens. I was totally unprepared for a $1000 order weighing 35 lbs & too new to understand how it all worked. Lol...there is no Poshmark tutorial that covers this one.

tiffneyg @2ndhand_unicorn My fault. I knew I could hit a button for overweight shipping but didn't realize the max was 10 lbs since I'd not yet used it. I offered free shipping because of the order size, not realizing it will cost me $87. But this was more about the hassle. If there was an unlimited label at least I would have only packed/weighed once & not had to cancel the order. At that point I knew I had incurred a giant shipping bill anyway due to inexperience. Live and learn right? 😊

Once you make an offer to them to buy their item, then you hear nothing as far as them shipping it. This is currently happening to me and so shouldn't there be a penalty against sellers who are selling items but then don't ship the items, once buyers offer to buy their items?

lisacrowley13 Just a suggestion....When listing an item, include the marked size, along with measurements. Used clothing sometimes shrinks a bit so the listed size is not always correct. Also, include a picture of the tag so the ratio of materials can be seen. These are the questions that I always ask, and the questions I most see in the comments, so it would save time and energy just to list this from the start.

Many of us poshers have dozens of packages and it's very difficult to get the Post Office to scan them individually, if at all. I get all the other emails Posh sends & I know my email is correct & of course, I have checked spam folder, trash etc. They're just not coming. I printed the shipping label and included the package with my other scheduled pickup items. The postman came and picked everything up. I got a message from PM thanking me for shipping the item. Then two hours later I get a message from PM "don't ship the item, the sale has been cancelled." It's one its way.

I then had someone comment on the item and ask if I'd take 25 and 1.80 shipping discount, I replied to the comment and said yes. How do I send the offer to her specifically? If a package were to go missing in the mail, would you just have to eat the cost and possibly get a bad review, or do they have a system to protect you from that?

foxphoric Hi! I'm in a bit of a pickle, & frustrated. I bought an item on July 27th and 3 days later, saw the user hadn't been online since my item sold. I sent a message and got no reply. Fast forward to today, I get the notification that poshmark has sent them a shipping reminder, & I look at the item to check the shipping status (for pending scan, so I know they're preparing it) & it says they're on vacation til Aug 13. What do I do? I need this by the 6th! They weren't on vacay earlier. What now?

mamapajamajan Has anyone else had this problem. When I'm scrolling through a party event and get to the bottom of the page, the items just fly by and don't stop until I scroll up. Everything that flew by, I don't get to see. I imagine its more pages going by real fast. But, how do I fix it. I hate that I miss those things that just fly by. Is it a glitch, or because I'm using an android. Are there settings that I need to change somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

sunnylandseller I just started on Poshmark and posted a few items. I tried to post two pairs of sunglasses tonight (Dior and Chanel) and a notice popped up that said they may be replicas. I am selling these for a good friend. She said she bought most used and she was told they were authentic. They look like the real deal to me. I looked up how to tell if Chanel is real online and it said the glass eyepiece will have Chanel etched on it and these do! I don't get it. What am I doing wrong?

lia_caroline I was prompted to change my password yesterday. This prompt has never happened before. In order to change the password, a link goes to the email I set up the Poshmark account. I haven’t used that email in awhile and Can’t access it. I contacted the provider and my email was deleted in Aug. I’ve sent two messages to customer support with no response. Why does Poshmark not have a better system to flag these messages before I do. Anytime someone writes their email/domain it is obvious they are trying to beat the system. First time I ignored them, second time I replied, very nicely, that there was no need to email,.we can deal right here on Posmark. Either make an offer or like the item and I'll make an offer. Not only did the person not reply, but their message was gone. I went back and checked for the first comment and that was gone too. Can someone delete their comment. I also made a complaint about her.

mamapajamajan @curateddesigner I contacted Poshmark. They replied the typical, uninstall and reinstall the app. Update the app. If this doesn't fix it, then use desktop version. The desk top version doesn't do the continuous scroll like the app does. But it also doesn't work like the app does either. I haven't used a desktop or laptop for eons. It's very awkward.

My question is that Since PM recognizes both spellings, if you are searching Rat and Boa you do not come across the Rat & Boa listings. So should I be listing my dress under both? kikscloset11 I am newer to PM. I had some early success but now I have a buyer accusing me of selling her a top that “wasn’t authentic.” The transaction is in dispute. She refuses to take a pic of the actual label...keeps showing the side tag. It’s a $9 shirt so I really couldn’t care less about the $6 I may or may not make; it’s the principle of the matter. Any other sellers experience this? I understand that I can block her but is there any way of filtering who buys your items?

retro409 @soldbycheryl . Hi there. I'm not sure if you've gotten an answer to this but you will have to cancel the sale and choose "I will bundle with another item" as the reason. Then have the buyer add the other item to their bundle (or you can add it) and then do another offer. Hope this helps!

andybecky I tried to buy boots on here , I put in my debit card info and the first purchase i made went through fine but when i found another pair of boots i also wanted to buy it wouldn't let me , instead this message popped up "Sorry, the your redeemable account balance was less than expected" What the crap does that mean ? tishandco Does choosing "other" as a sub category, i.e. "Home" "Other", limit your item to a buyer's search using the word "other", or does it open up a listing to the entire "home" category? I am asking because some things just don't fit the offered subcategories... and hopefully, the "other" subcategory does not limit visibility. Thanks for any feedback 😊.

lyonshareonline @molala24 What I learned was you simply print your shipping label as usual then when at the Post Office counter ask for whatever denomination of package insurance you require. They will add the coverage and bill you there. 😊

I’ve sent a dozen emails to support @ and I’ve use the “contact us option” through the app. The seller’s description promised shipping within 12 hours when I purchased Monday night. Wed I asked seller to cancel the order as I was leaving town on Fri. She said I only paid for 2 day. Sat it arrived per my house sitter. I immediately asked for a refund based on inaccurate description. Mon I received the denial email from posh.

sweetmacyjane I had sitter open package and it’s an authentic item however it’s a much smaller cheaper bag with a upc matching a different product. I’ve tried to amend the rating and ask to review the refund request but it says I only had 72 hours. I was well within 72 hours when I sent the email stating the item is not what the seller represented. It seems like due to high volume they aren’t addressing my inquiries.

stephie1403 @boccabella The tracking number should be on the label under the barcode of the shipping label she printed out. Also sometimes an item won't show as "shipped" until it is scanned at USPS. I've dropped packages off in the drop box so they were technically mailed but it didn't show as shipped until it was finally scanned by the post office, which can be annoying because it can make it seem like you're taking longer to send an item.

lilyspring @candicemg2 you’re selling designer things. These people are scammers. Don’t respond to the emails. Whatever you do, don’t trade. They build up positive ratings and feedback over time to make you trust them but they will only rip you off. If they comment in your closet, tap on the flag next to it, report as spam, exit closet, then re-enter. The comment will be gone. Do this for any unwanted comments but you cannot delete your own comments so it’s best not to respond.

They’re not asking for any information, and I most definitely don’t trade or do any off posh transactions. I even received a secondary email saying I’d be receiving a call at my scheduled time from a poshmark community team member.

Using your sold yoga pants green for $38 in XS and M as example, you sold 1 of each size. If the quantity was listed at greater than 1 in any of the sizes, then the “sold” pants would have “sold” banners but the original main listing would remain available with no “sold” banner. Did you change the quantity in order to repopulate the “sold” banner?

I googled it and saw only 1 person who had that problem in 4/2017 but she didn’t post Poshmark’s explanation to her question. If it’s still happening, maybe deleting and re-installing app might help. lilyspring @yogamama212 @pian0man did you mean “5 lb” limit (vs 2 lb)? You had 2 bundle sales in the past 48 hrs? I wouldn’t call it a scam. Buyers want to save money. You make an excellent point though. Over the 5 lb limit eats into any money you make. Can’t you get around that by allowing bundles of up to 5 lb only? You can remove items from someone’s bundle and explain to buyer. You might lose the sale but you make more money selling bundles under 5 lbs. You can also cancel any sale.

Without an option for insurance or even signature confirmation, a gucci wallet can be left on a porch and a buyer can claim they never received it. How are sellers protected against that? Will Posh reimburse the seller as long as there is proof the item was mailed? Can I create my own shipping label?

lilyspring @jheyvip You’re fully protected as long as you use the Poshmark label. You’ll get your earnings 3 days after if it shows it was delivered subject to buyer acceptance. Poshmark doesn’t address stolen items in the FAQs. That is likely addressed on a case by case basis. As long as you sent it, you won’t suffer a loss in the event of a theft. Don’t create/use your own shipping label.

lilyspring @luxurycrush Anything over $400 requires a signature upon delivery. Although insurance amount is not specifically mentioned in the FAQs, as long as the Poshmark shipping label is used, sellers are fully covered at all times before and after Poshmark authentication.

merdwyer I have been researching for sometime I can’t find anything referencing my question. Can a seller get scanned by a buyer? I just made a sell with deep discount to a posher that has no reviews, no listings etc. after I accepted she immediately lowballed me on two of my other items. I politely bundled the items and made her an offer with no response. I am feeling very nervous about this. I printed out the label but have yet to box it.

lilyspring @merdwyer Many people give ratings but no feedback. Click the “About” button. How long has she/he been a member? Low ballers can actually be your best buyers. In the bundle section, communicate with buyer. If you feel uncomfortable, you can cancel the sale and the bundle transaction after buyer accepts. If not, mail out the purchased item. Always counteroffer even if you counter with the same price you previously countered with. Never decline unless it’s someone you don’t want to sell to.

I’m sorry if that sounds obvious but you’d be surprised at how many people don’t know how to pack things for shipping. There’s a difference between damage caused by poor packing vs. damage caused by the USPS. If the package is intact, then the damaged item was caused by poor packing. Shake the box. If you hear anything, that means it wasn’t packed right.

geenag63 I know that packing things properly will, for the most part, protect my item and should arrive intact. My concern is with the delivery persons that are rushed to get packages to their destination quickly and are pushed to the breaking point. I appreciate all of the information you have given me. lilyspring @geenag63 it’s not necessarily the delivery people. Items especially heavy ones gets jostled on conveyer belts and trucks. Those objects can only handle so much jostling, similar to being constantly shaken from the time it gets dropped off to the destination.

lilyspring @geenag63 The $100 isn’t mentioned on Poshmark because it does not matter. Your earnings are 100% covered. I put that in my message because $100 is on the usps site for Priority Mail Commercial Plus Pricing and wanted to see what Support had to say about it. Poshmark shipping label is between Poshmark and the USPS. I find the damage risk for Priority Mail to be minimal if packaged properly. You should be thanked for bringing it up since so many people were probably wondering about it. Thank you.

lilyspring @geenag63 You’re probably wondering how this works. Forget about the $100 insurance number. I don’t know what was worked out between Poshmark and USPS other than the $7.11 shipping fee. I also don’t know what the process is since I’ve never had to go through it. You’re going to have to take Poshmark’s word for it. Poshmark covers 100% of sellers earnings in the event of damage caused by USPS.

lilyspring @geenag63 There’s a reason why damage during shipping is looked at on a case by case basis. It is to protect against fraud. Use the Posh ship label. Pack properly and sufficiently. Do not buy another USPS shipping label outside of Poshmark to buy “additional” insurance. If you ever feel uncomfortable about a sale, you can always cancel.

You cancel the sale, create new listing with all of the items and price it at the previous purchase price and add $15 to it. $15 less 20% = $12. So buyer would be paying $15 more. For example, if buyer paid $25 previously, buyer would now pay $40. Or you can just add $12 if a few dollars don’t matter to you. Continued

You have no recourse if buyer fails to send the check since an agreement to reimburse you is outside the transaction. pinkyt67 Im so discouraged by the amount of scammers I find in the luxury goods posts. Some sellers have nothing but replicas they claim are legit. I’ve educated myself & can spot it right away but a lot of younger buyers aren’t so savvy. They get stars in their eyes thinking they’re getting a designer piece at a rock bottom price. Often these sellers are sickeningly sweet with their manipulation. Isn’t there a way to somewhat control this? people ripping off people should be banned from the app.

I received it on April 15th, but it was not as described, so I opened a case, posh approved my request on 16th, then I shipped back the bag on same day. According to the USPS tracking info, the bag was delivered to the seller on 18th.

Also I received the automatic email from poshmark “ Return eligibility expiring”, saying I should ship back by 21st or they will release the fund to the seller.

lilyspring @hidemin hi. Did you receive your refund? Sometimes it takes slightly more than 48 hrs. Barring unforeseen circumstances, as long as the return tracking # provided by the Poshmark provided label shows it is delivered, I don’t foresee a problem. I would give it more time especially since you followed up with a message to Support. As a last resort, there is a “refund not received” on the “Problems/Order Inquiry” menu. Good luck.

Poshmark has been taking longer than usual with refunds because of the volume of Support requests. It used to take a day but now 2 days or longer. Take screenshots of everything that is on the return process including comments and if possible, messages sent to Support. You have everything needed to prove a refund is due.

If no time or date, that means they’ve been inactive over a certain length of time. Not sure what that time cutoff is. I know it’s frustrating that people don’t respond promptly if at all. Then you have the people who are active and don’t respond at all for whatever reason. Check to see if it’s being sold by someone else or even elsewhere. Good luck.

At this time, we recommend you to go to ‘My Closet’ > select ‘Edit Profile’ > select ‘Gender’ > select ‘Unspecified’. lilyspring @bsprettythings You shipped to the buyer’s address on his/her account. You did everything expected of you and will be protected as a seller. Wait until Poshmark gets back to you. If buyer still lives near old address, buyer can try to get the package and then “accept” it on the app. Poshmark has a process in place to deal with situations like this. It can take up to 2 days for Poshmark to get back to you. Or you can contact Poshmark on Twitter.

I doubt there would be a problem with changing your address as you need to. Contact Poshmark anyway to see what they say. It might take a couple of days for a response.

stylebelle @remyruff Explain to buyer the reason for any delay. You can forward the ship email to neighbor, nearby friend, family member and they can print it. You pick it up or they can bring it to you. Or go to library to print. I would do everything possible to use the Poshmark label instead of buying separate label. I’ve received many packages with colored paper and experienced no color transfer but that does not mean I would use it myself. As long as it stays dry, no worries. Good luck.

lilyspring @spanishizs Fakes are prohibited. Poshmark takes them down when it’s made aware of them. You can report fakes by clicking on the 3 dots on the upper left of the listing. Some people forget to delete “Copy” from the title when they use Poshmark’s Copy feature. It does not mean the item for sale is a copy or replica. See link below for info on the Copy feature. sgibble I sold an item that was brand new! The item got damaged during shipping. This was a 200$ sewing machine. I even asked UPS to put a FRAGILE sticker on the box plus I wrote fragile all over the box. Uncertain how to handle this? They've reported it to Poshmark however this is not fair to me or the buyer. *frustrated*

lilyspring @sgibble You said they’ve reported it to Poshmark. Who is they? The buyer? The buyer opened a case? Ask the buyer if the box was damaged. Assuming it’s under review by Poshmark, you have to await their decision. Poshmark will cover seller earnings for damage caused by the USPS. Poshmark has no dollar limit. Good luck. Post an update.

happi_accidents Hi, when you send to get your item Authenticated to HQ (when you made a sale) Does PM re package it w/ their packaging ? Or use the one thta ship out with? Curious if I should package all nicely or if they’re just going to re package or anyways. Don’t want to waste That time if they’re going to dump it anyways. Thanks

lilyspring @happi_accidents Posh would likely re-wrap in new tissue paper and put a Posh Authentication label on it. I would send the bag in one of those big XL Ziploc bags (2 ft x 20 in). Leave note telling Poshmark to use the Ziploc bag after they re-wrap bag in new tissue paper. They would probably do that anyway. Buyer would appreciate it. A luxury sale is worth the extra effort.

lilyspring @kslcrn excellent question. I’ve encountered that not just with mine in the past but with other people’s listings too. Try removing some words like “Noir, Sold Out Online” from the title. See if that works.

leprof_74 @jmroby I was looking for an answer to a similar experience. I'm sure you've worked this out by now. I was so bummed they were not happy and left a rating that I did not like. I asked for feedback so I could do better. The buyer sd she thot the item was x color. But, the color was clearly stated in the description. Anyway, I thanked her for her feedback and I would do better in the future. I had to point out the color was in the description. Maybe I should not have.

jmroby @leprof_74 Hi Linda! I was so confused and then saw my post on here from many years ago. I can’t believe I’ve been on poshmark that long! Since then I’ve had a few thousand more sales and here’s what I learned ... you can’t please everyone. Luckily the only one who sees your ratings is you, so if you had a detailed description and provided the best customer service possible then I would just relax and let it go. She’s already accepted and rated so there’s not much more you can do at this point.

lilyspring @healing I believe it’s included and that you can’t purchase separately for prepaid labels. When you print out the label, check to see if it has the words “Signature Confirmation”. If not, see if you can buy it at the post office anyway if you want that peace of mind. Also if it was required of sellers to purchase it, Poshmark would have been very clear about that in the FAQ. Based on the FAQ, buyers need to sign for over $400 purchases or pick it up at the post office.

For a $425 bag of hers that she sold, she said she did not purchase signature confirmation separately and that signature confirmation is included in the label based on her reading of the FAQ. That was my understanding of it too. I asked Support but their answer was vague.

lilyspring @healing Don’t worry. Your sales are 100% protected by Poshmark if packages get lost. About shipping, I always hand packages directly to the USPS clerk, clerk scans them, and I always get a receipt for peace of mind. I will never do it any other way. I’m sure Support will always respond to users problems even if their replies are a little late. If I didn’t have confidence in Support, there is no way I would be selling here. If you ever sell, take steps to protect yourself. Good luck. 🌼

This service is offered free for all items sold on Poshmark at a price of $500 or higher. The processing of a Posh Authenticate order is typically completed in 24-48 hours once received by Poshmark for authentication by our luxury experts, before being shipped out to the buyer.

lilyspring @scriveri People (usually scammers) who want to contact them via email want to take the transaction off Poshmark. Don’t do it. Just click on the flag icon next to the “reply” word, then report as spam. The comment would be gone. Don’t respond since you can’t remove your own comments.

lilyspring @scriveri Always include pictures of the actual items in your listings. Technically we should use our own photos only. But keep in mind that major brands benefit from the exposure on Poshmark especially during the most difficult retail environment in history. It’s equivalent to millions of dollars in marketing.

Here’s what it says from the faq. “Share your listing with followers or friends on Poshmark or through Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, email or SMS easily through the app.”
