stylingwithme It's boring, redundant and I rarely bother with it. I have two Coach purses for sell and if they don't I'll keep them as they are classics and Coach is certainly well made with good leather and hardware. I would like to see more expensive brands besides these few every other day. I thought it was everyday! Out with this or add more brands. Some of these expensive purses aren't that well cared for and there should be a section B designer purses for those with any flaws. I won't pay THAT much for a scuffed or stained purse just because its Coach, Hermes, or Chanel. And I see one person asking us to help her by buying her used Coaches. She has about 100 of them! Maybe that's why she is in such bad shape....spent thousands on Coach! I don't think "sad sorry notices" should be allowed. That is not the caliber of class here on POSH. We don't want to read pitiful begs to buy! This isn't that kind of place. Beggars, please CLASS UP!

maritza13 I'm tired of the same theme parties on the same day. For example, today they had Coach, TB and MK bags followed by the Hot Handbags party. They should have a bag party, a shoe party, and a clothes party daily. I agree that they need to add more name brands to the parties. I don't care much for the expensive name brands such as Channel, LV or Kate Spade bc I can't afford them.

I've written to posh numerous times about this asking for more of a variety of brands and themes and gave them multiple suggestions. Of course I never heard back and haven't see any change! Maybe if enough people show concern they will take it into consideration!!

chuchala99 When I first started on poshmark the 1st party of the day had included brands like: express, the limited and Victoria secrets. Even though an item is less from limited brands if a customer bundled items poshmark would be making their 20% we would be making 80% and clearing our closets out which was the idea for posh=shop(backwards) and we would be seeing different items showcased daily.

whitney71862 My BIGGEST pet peeve with Posh besides the 20%, crappy parties & lack of good inventory.. people trying to beat you up on price for a $5 tee shirt...I feel like I price my stuff accordingly. I know my stuff isn't worth full price or even half of what I paid for it.. People need to understand this concept. Just because you paid $50 for a shirt 2 years ago doesn't mean tis worth $30. lottenotte I love Michael Kors just as much as the next person as well as Coach... The majority of my closet are new items from both of these designers BUT I too am a bit bored by the same ol same ol. I like most of the hosts but i think the shameless self promotion instead of actual poshers items is getting old too. Then to see the hosts are taking paypal too makes me feel a bit used and left out since my 20% is going to keep poshmark alive. I also think more advertising needs to be done for PM because the sales have really been down lately... This coming from some of my pm pals who have been having gangbuster sales all along. I agree i would like to see a variety of parties and i have mentioned it over and over to no avail... I wanted to do a jeans and jewelry, beachwear, summer sundays, black & white party, all 80's, ... You get the idea... A Victoria's Secret party alone would do wonders as i have a ton of that too and i agree, 10% of the population wears LV and Chanel but the other 90% wears everyday brands! Selling more at a lower price point is sometimes better then a few items at the high end. I am getting tired of seeing yard sale items too.... I thought this was fashion!?!? Having a highlihted guest designer that is up and coming would rock and i am betting as the PM community we could get them off to a great start and give incredible feedback! I too have seen items online that were incorrect in listings by designers, inspired, and so forth and would love to see more Posh Police looking out for the buyers! I have heard the horror stories of quite a few. I know Manish and his team are working hard at making posh better and better but i wish i felt like we were heard more!! When i first started you coukd tag manish and he would respond but i have not seen that in awhile... I am sure he is very busy as the rest of the team but i have heard nothing but complaints lately and not many solutions..... I have a listing on my site for Poshmark Suggestions and i would love for everybody to post suggestions there and maybe we can then contact manish with our ideas.... I think that is the best way to go about this. I hate to see people leaving and getting fed up or bored brcause i have really enjoyed this app and i love getting to know the great people on here..(well, most of the,...) lol! microset @dee7331 I strongly agree with you. I did a party already .a trial one. And I'd be honest every one sold a bunch of stuff. Not a garage party. Like a classy party. Same as posh more or less. Every other designer you can't imagine that there is you get to know the product better. Vintage, handcraft, lamb and the prices are very affordable. David yurman design which are very expensive have 2 competitor that has design is exquisite which is far cheaper and durable than his product. Not demoting his product ok. But most of us can't afford 1200 bracelet price. We will have another trial run July in Chicago . And we encourage them to bring dif brands. Hope I gave you an idea. The good thing is every one get to experience hosting and generate money and learn fashion at a cheaper price.👍👍👍

amyfnolan I think people should look more closely and do more research on the things they are buying. Like alot of these handbags are outlet bags being sold for well over there retail price. Doesn't it get you wondering how some people have so many coach and micheal Kors items. OUTLET. Also I'm tired of seeing the same damn jewelry. Everytime I look I see the same leather bracelets, the same cross bracelets, those feather earrings. Again do research, there on posh for $18 and you can buy online for about $2. I sell only things from my closet I don't buy online in bundles and sell and posh for a trillion dollars. AND TO MANY INSPIRED ITEMS. Just getting BORED now with this😢 had to put in my 2 cents.

Also, I have less than 15 items in my closet and they are all high quality brands, never used or used just a few times. I am appalled at the beat up items for sale here. I'd be embarrassed to offer such items for sale. I consider this the highest quality consignment shop and I am doing my part to keep it that way.

andloshet I 100% agree!!! What has posh become?? I honestly just want to close my closet and wipe my hands of the whole thing because of how ridiculous things have gotten: terrible customer service (they are dealing with our money but yet there is no phone number to call to get transactions worked out like Paypal and they take WEEKS to respond to emails), boring parties, people selling their ratty crap as "excellent used condition" when it should be in the dollar bin at a yard sale and people not reading listings, low balling and asking to trade when you clearly state all over your closet that you don't. This app is not classy anymore. People are rude and scamming left and right. Plus sales have been so slow. For 2 straight weeks I was making so many trips to the PO with 10-15 deliveries at a time, now nothing! People aren't listing or buying it seems. Idk, I wish posh wasn't like this because it is a great opportunity to buy and sell and the app makes it super easy and way faster than eBay or Craigslist but still, the legit buyers and sellers are def starting to go elsewhere and all that is going to be left in the long run are scammers and the 😭🙏 sob story buyers that can't pay rent yet are trying to low ball buy your designer bag. I know the economy is crappy and jobs are scarce but if you can't pay your bills maybe buying clothes and bags you don't need isn't a good idea. And it's not my job to be goodwill to all these women! Grr! It's so frustrating.

I go to the outlets outside of Boston all the time and get new items for cheaper than ppl on here are selling. A lot of ppl have turned it into a business but we end up paying like 40% more because of their markup from outlet pricing and the 20% markup they add to cover the posh fees. I've seen a bunch of ppl selling their used TB mini Ella snakeskin totes for $200-$300 (the bag originally cost $195 for mini) and yet I went to the TB store here at the Prudential Center 2 days ago and bought it on sale for $97!

imkrex I'd also like to point out that this is not a garage sale, it is a site to sell FASHIONABLE items, I don't want to see baby clothes, or electronics, or arts and crafts materials in an ACCESSORIES party, if you want to sell your children's clothing or your electronics do it somewhere else please. Some of us mark our closets way down just to clear it out, and then people STILL feel the need to ask for the price to be lowered even more when it's already cheap! My ENTIRE CLOSET is 50% off cause I need this stuff gone, and I'm still dealing with this, it's getting ridiculous here, and yes I agree sales are crazy slow, I haven't sold or moved anything in almost 2 weeks, and when I first got on posh I was at the post office like twice a week at least. :( things need to change.

pookiebeau @imkrex Same here, when I first started on posh I was making sales every day or every other day. Now I'm lucky if I make a sale a month! I also tried to be proactive in informing people that this was a place for women's fashion and accessories only and I got such a backlash from people that I removed my listing and gave up even trying. Posh obviously doesn't care since reporting people seems to have no effect and they keep making people hosts or hosts picks and they have items in their closet not allowed to be sold or doing pp transactions. I need to find some place or app new that can give me the experiences I had back when I first started on here. I'm just a sahm tryin to help out my family and posh isn't working for me anymore.

People keep emailing pm about their issues, but that stays private, if you post on a public forum like their fb page for others to see maybe then they'll actually listen. We need to get this going and force them to be accountable and make the changes we want. I'm tired of this place being run horribly.

larksandlace I'm not alone, yaaaay!! What is going on?!?! I think that sellers pitching the same dresses in all sizes are flooding the 'market'. Obviously they are cheaply made abroad (don't get me started on all that), but isn't the point of posh to clear out your closet and find something you are excited about in somebody else's? I have really nice items but get these girls making straight up silly offers!! I used to frown at re-selling make-up for example, but now these lower price point items are the only things that move :( Went from 3-4 trips to the post office/day to nada. I get tons of likes daily, but nobody is buying. I'm moving soon and at this rate I'd rather donate...

pookiebeau I honestly thought I was the only one noticing a decline in sales, posh changing the shipping pricing and weight didn't help, their over advertising on social gaming brought in a crowd of scammers, young kids/teens, and people who just have no manners or intentions to buy. This place use to have a community feel to it and everyone had respect for one another. Now it's like they got greedy once the cash began to flow in and they don't even try to respond to emails within the time frame of 24-48 hrs or even put effort into party themes. They use to have like stripes and stars, studs and spikes. Just different themes! You'd think they'd put more time and effort into something that is nothing without us and our sales. I'm surprised they haven't noticed the decline in their percentage coming in since a lot of us aren't making as much money as before.

kathymac22 @dee7331 Thank you so much for giving us a place to "vent"! I agree that PM is not very helpful with problems or grievances. I recently sold one of my Coach bags and I mailed it out the next day. I had absolutely no correspondence with the buyer, which I know now should be a red flag! As soon as they purchased, I sent them a thank you message and received no response. That really wasn't the issue though.... A few days later I got the msg that the bag had been delivered. I waited the required 3 days for the purchaser to accept the bag and subsequently release my funds. On the fourth day, I sent a super nice msg to the buyer asking if they had received the bag and were they satisfied. Still no response....I went to the purchasers closet, and miraculously, the closet was now empty! I contacted PM and they emailed me a generic letter stating that I should wait 3 days after the purchase to start any action against the buyer. Um......this was on day 5 post sale!!! Finally, on day 9 post sale PM sends me an email saying "Whoo! The purchaser has accepted your item and your funds are in your account." Wow PM...thanks for all the hardwork! I think it's really awful for these people, along with the scammers, garage sale sellers, and sellers who use PM for a retail shop of crappy fake designer items, to be allowed to continue what they are doing! And while I'm on a rant.....if my closet says "no trades and no PP" stop asking about it! My closet has only things from my personal closets at home and it's my prerogative if I decline a low-ball offer, don't harass me if I won't accept the rediculous offer! Ok, I'm done!! Thanks again for the opportunity to vent! 💕

Banana Republic is pennies on the dollar compared to JCrew bc the outlet is so cheap. Marc Jacobs is too expensive. Vintage doesnt always have a brand name so people dont buy it. If u go into any store no matter if its brand new or used for a year they will only sell it for about half. Like the show Resale Royalty, they give people 1/3 of the price then sell the items for half the retail price. So poshers please stop trying to charge retail for ur MK, Coach, LV, ect. bags!!!

vetementsamore @pookiebeau i think sales r declining bc its hard to sift through all the garbage and "store" closets have entered into the competition with us regular people =( also, summer time is generally slower for the entire fashion industry. ppl would rather spend their $ on their vacations etc. also, another reason for declining sales might b that all your good stuff alrdy sold like hot cakes! =) which is awesome bc i've only made 1 sale so far lolssss

katemerick I can't stand those parties filling up my news feed and its the same parties every week! And as long as I'm commenting on this a party thing. What kind of party has 14,000 items in it. Stupidest thing I've ever seen, if they just had a couple hundred items in a party people might actually scroll through them. Lets see 3 parties a day with 14,000 items each = 6 hours to go thru. Never going to happen!! Or about 200 or so for 3 parties a day = 15-20 mins and I believe more sales and if you have these everyday and have 14,000-16,000 items and split up into small amts we wouldn't keep seeing the same things every time. Am I the only one that has thought about this??

katemerick I also want to comment as a buyer and not a seller that I see a lot of you complain about people using PayPal and here is the reason I like to pay thru PayPal! I'm sure some of you know but not all of you that PayPal has what's called bill me later so I can buy and buy and not need to pay until bill comes in mail and its just like a credit card you have min pmt or can pay what you want. So yeah I can buy a few handbags and have months to pay for them! Why wouldn't you prefer that since it means I can by more of all of your things. Don't get me wrong I have bought from poshers who don't accept PayPal but when I buy something for 20.00 I don't want to pay 27.00 so a lot of times I just don't buy it!

pookiebeau @katemerick @dee7331 I have nothing against using PayPal myself other than the fact that its not allowed. This is the only reason why I don't offer this option myself. I've known several sellers who's pm account got "banned" due to them doing pp transactions and I'm not willing to risk losing my account and my sales history or followers. But I do see why so many rather go thru pp than pm.

sarajane I totally agree. Some of the parties are too vague resulting in too many listings. I don't know about you guys but I don't have time to look at all the party listings. Especially if there are 15k+ listings if mostly crap. I'd like to see more parties of smaller size. Like "just sandals" or "tanks" I really like the idea of "under $10". It would be a dream cone true for a free shipping day!! They can afford it 😃

jaspar21 I know quite a few Poshers who closed their closets because they don't have those brands and it was a waste of time when they could never feature their items. And they weren't trashy brands...what happened to Free People, Anthro, White House Black Market? @katef we've asked poshmark support a million times...and no one ever answers. The fad is going to run it's course if Posh doesn't become more open and less brand specific. Sad really.

twink123 Thanks for posting this! I have increasing concerns with Posh. The etiquette is very bad. The parties are boring. I want to see new items and I want to find deals. I don't mind used items, but people do not price accordingly. Even if it has the tags on ITS NOT NEW it's been at your house. Asking retail or more is wrong. I always research item and ask questions. Also all these scams rampant on this site. I follow all poshes rules and still got scammed by a BUYER. Ordered a pair of jeans from me reported them not as described, ripped the tags out of them, and posh accepted the return, I never got my jeans back or the money it's been a month and I'm not getting a clear response from posh. Seems like form email responses no specifics. :(

kathymac22 @katemerick I saw your comment about PayPal and thought I'd throw in my two cents. Let me begin by saying, I am in no way attempting to start an argument or disrespect you in anyway. Just giving my opinion. From a sellers standpoint, we would be able to give lower prices to people through PP. My problem with that is its against the rules of PM. While I agree that PM's fee to the seller and shipping for the buyer are quite steep, it's only fair for them to take a %. They are allowing us to post and sell our items on their app. We also use them for advertising our items. Therefore, I feel it's terribly unfair for everyone to utilize their services, then cut them out at the last second and use PayPal. Ultimately PM is a business, and as most businesses do, they are just trying to make a little $ for the services they provide us. 😊

twistedbijoux I would never ever buy anything high brand like purses, wallets or so called Mac products via these types of sites. Ladies no one gives away a deal on big names like they are trying on here. If you purchase make sure you get a store receipt or accept its fake. Check ebay for the jewelry you see here and you'll see it there. Chanel jewelry is big money so don't be duped. I do like this site and feel bad for the sellers getting window shopped by fake offers then left hanging.

Nothing is free and PM is attempting to make money just like the rest of us. Just the other day I wanted to purchase an item and was chatting with the seller about the price. We agreed on a price, and that I would purchase immediately (I hate when people beg me to hold stuff then they disappear when it's time to buy!). Would you believe that she REFUSED to honor the quote she had given me because I wouldn't pay thru PP. She actually asked me if I didn't use PP because I lived in the south and "maybe we don't have PP down here." I was like what?!? I live in New Orleans, which contrary to popular belief, has electricity and running water!! So, no, that's not why I don't use PP. I don't use it because the rules say don't. I reported her butt and, needless to say, refused to purchase her item! Ugh....some people!!

louisejanet I'm not impressed with PM. I've bought a couple of things but I've taken down my items. I can sell them on ebay. It takes forever on this site to find things. It's either way expensive or quite used and over priced. Plus people don't explain their items. Brand and issues, or worn a few times would be helpful to know. Ughhhh

sarkid I'm new to Posh and I just buy not sell. I have met some wonderful sellers who are honest and caring and go the the extra mile to make purchasing a fun and satisfying experience. On the other hand others have called me out for asking too many questions to authenticate an item. I do my research. I have been scammed once getting stuck with plastic rather than the promised leather. Seller response was "gee I didn't know" and Posh offering me $10 to just suck it up and keep the merchandise. Although I'm new, I think if everyone played by the rules and Posh enforced them it would make me shop here more. I hate to have to worry if I'm being scammed every time I go to make a purchase. For what it's worth that's my two cents.

colette123 I'm cool with most of the brands on PM, it's just the scammers that really suck the life and fun out of this site. So many people have gotten burned one way or another. kgltap Different thought here.. No one mentioned the data analytics that Poshmark can do on their "inventory". I suspect the reason that Poshmark is continually doing the "same" parties over and over again is because if you were to search all items by brand, those items are clearly in the majority. Hence, from Poshmark's point of view, getting those items the most visibility creates a mass supply of potential buyers since there are a lot of options, thus creating a larger amount of "Poshmark dollars" floating around the app. I agree that the parties are trite at this point but their thinking is probably lower inventory in othe brands don't create as much impulse to buy. They can see how many shoes are out there (probably a ton) versus how many pairs of denim. Coach outranks LAMB by oodles in terms of count of product. Why wouldn't Poshmark want to have these parties over and over again? Just thinking from their side.

tutuohtoo I agree about the same parties everyday. I like the ideas of a VS, BCBG, Banana Republic, Express, Limited, GAP, etc. The color themed party idea is great as well. I don't understand why Paypal cannot be used. It is used on Threadflip and they collect their 20%, offer to let you ship on your own by purchasing your own label which allows free shipping to the buyer or the buyer can pay for shipping. The seller sets everything up when they do the listing. I don't think the site is as user friendly as PM but some things I guess you have to sacrifice. I loved the people I met here when I first started but now so many people want holds, trades or just lowball offers it is ridiculous. It used to be a much better site than it is now. People are buying multiple items and selling them here just as they do on Ebay. It is hard for those of us just clearing our closets to compete with that type of seller. I wish I could find another site that was similar but more in line with what everyone is discussing in this post. If any of you ladies decide to pursue that please tag me and I will definitely take my closet with you :-)

pookiebeau @jejaghab Host picks are items that the chosen "hosts" share to the parties. You have your regular hosts of people from poshmark, but there's different co hosts that are regular poshers who get picked to host a party along with the pm people. Getting your items to be chosen is all about being more interactive with the posh community, sharing other members items, having great cover shots and whatnot. I've been on pm for well over a year and just got made a suggested user! Took a while and I'm just getting in the know of things. I hope to someday also host a party! Hope this helps explain it!

Not only do I see some ladies begging for ppl to shop their closets due to some hardship but I also see the same ones trying to cut deals on really expensive items to buy.
